I didn't even actually watch the video before subscribing, because I'm wanting to build a food truck out of a large bus, so I have to watch all of these.
@@fbaltierrez My idea is get a large school bus and in the front part put a bed, shower and toilet, then in the whole thing after that the kitchen. This way I can take my dog and she will be separated from the kitchen area. I don't have to go home and this will save gas. I can get a larger amount of everything in it too versus a normal food truck. I'll just sleep in the bus. This allows me to go anywhere and saves me on a hotel bill.
I do sheetmetal for a living frank ur gaps in between the sheets were the meet we use stainless stainless steel beautystrips to cover that it would really make ur work look that much nicer. I leave a gap so ur not struggling drilling into the stainless ur beatystrip will cover the defects
Good video. I got a Snap-on truck to convert into a food truck about 3 weeks ago. I’ve watched all your videos. Built a 55 inch vent hood from sheet stainless from scratch. I’m almost done! Just plumbing remaining. And the vinyl wrap. Thanks for your videos
I ended up buying a used trailer that was only 8 months old half what the original owner spent. With your videos I felt more confutable knowing what I was buying. :) I saw your prep tables lower shelf. I wanted to share that in mine they flipped the lower shelf, so the lips were upright so that there was a ledge for items not to fall while driving.
I would not be able to answer that, as you didn't mention what it would go into. But what I would do is take the blue paintsrs tape and lay it out on the floor and that will give you your layout dimensions on your truck or trailer.

Another electrical question...did you say that the outlet for your refrigerator was the only thing running to the bottom circuit....so that means that the hood is running to the top circuit along with all of the lights and other outlets? Can’t wait for the next video.....you are absolutely inspiring me to chase my food trailer dream.

I can definitely make something like that. It's just like an on demand water heater in your house you don't fill that up, it heats water as it passes through

The hoods from hoodmart only go out to 30 inches and part of the code down here is to have the fume hood go six inches past all cooking surfaces. All the LP deep fryers I am looking at are right around 30 inches in depth. Do you have any suggestions for "low profile" propane deep fryers (depth of 24 inches or less)? Ground or tabletop are ok for me. Thanks a bunch! Looking forward to seeing what kind of price you get on your setup. Keep up the good work up north!

Yes the price is great, but do your due diligence. Equipment make sure they use good quality, where they install the water heater and everything else. I personally don't like them but you might get a good one hopefully. If you have to fix something that was not good quality then that price just goes up and up.

Hi brother I’ve been seeing your videos for a couple of months now I have a question I am asked you on a previous video regarding a generator you told me about the Westin house the 4500 I’ll be receiving my trailer I just bought it’s a 20 footer it has one two door refrigerator to door a countertop refrigerator and it has a Electric water heater and the water pump is that enough for that generator I am plus the instructors
What i would recommend you do is add up either the amps on the equipment information plate and multiply the number by 120 and get the watts. Add all those up and if they equal below the running watts on the generator then you should be good

It would be great if a company could take a customer-provided cardboard template and make the side panels to fit the curve of the trailer roof. Can they do that? Also do you know if there is any reason not to have one made locally? Do municipalities require a "certified" hood? Do insurance companies require it?
I know in my municipality they do require a certified Hood, I don't know about insurance companies but I would assume yes. They price gap can't be that big buying FROM HOODMART or having it built locally. Or maybe it is. Haven't looked into it
Great question. I'm going to be uploading something on this soon because I have used 2 different ways. One for a table and one for a chef base. On tables just use a 1.5 inch Flange base and screw it to table
@@fbaltierrez I’m going to be attaching a flattop and a two burner stove to a chef base. I found BK Leg Sockets I’m going to screw to the top, and then drop the stove legs into (they look like the part that sits on the underside of a stainless table where the tube legs slide into) I’m thinking I’m going to use a nice new drill bit, use oil keep the bit cool, and slower drill speed, to drill pilot holes, then secure with self tappers. If I’m not mistaken, the chef base tops are pretty thick. I looked up the 1.5” flange base, that’s pretty much the same thing I’m using, but the flange is square.

That's what I have done. I've never used the quilted style tho.

I have one on the right but it's not for the griddle it's just an extra one. Cooking equipment is propane

Right now they are at about 2900 installed for a 7 foot hood. They used to be 2500
