Good Morning! Allie, quick story... I too craved red meat during my first pregnancy. One day my husband was working afternoon shift and I just had to have a steak,(he's the BBQer) So I hopped in the car and went by myself to our favourite steak restaurant. The front staff, is looking at this 8month pregnant woman, I said Table for one please!! I looked at the waiter and said, I don't even need a menu, I'll take a 10oz sirloin!! To this day I can see the look on his face!! BTW, My son ended up weighing 11 pounds 7oz and 24 and 3/4" at birth!! 😂🤣

Did you remember to put in an electrical outlet in the little alcove at the top of the stairs that you had mentioned decorating with a lamp and pictures ? After building more than one home, it's the little things you think of yet get past you in the building process.
Go ahead and install some anchor points for Leo to teach his little brother how to rappel over the half wall. May as well make it as safe as possible. They're boys who live in the country, so you know they will probably try it. ;-)

Leica may be ready for a refresher course. As a dog lover I noticed she jumped on Mr Scott and Dean. Might be worth it for some donuts and hvac help.
🎨 Taking that window out and putting in the doorway between the addition in the house was one of the smartest things Trent ever did among 1000 other smart things he’s done. I like that Allie doesn’t have to go out in the cold weather and that she can get right back into the house quickly if she needs to take a rest, nap, or get something to snack on. And I think it’s wonderful that Leo can come right in there and start feeling like he understands what the addition is being built for and also for him to be able to see Trent during the day and see what his dad is doing. Brilliant well done.

While I see the appeal for you with the half wall on the stairs it has the potential to feel closed in. What you might consider as an alternative is to use what some call hog wire panels. They come in all sorts of colors and the mesh is about 4 inches per square. I believe it is mainly stainless steel with the color baked on. I have these on all my decks and railings. they are kid and OSHA safe and even give the kids a place to hold on to using the stairs. What you are doing is cutting the panel to fit between a 2x4 sliced in half as the frame. That panel is inserted between the posts and screwed into place. It is strong and keeps the view open.

LED strip lights controlled by phone:
as your filming is ahead of what we as your audience see probably too late to install LED strip lights to illuminate the stair treads. Neat sidebar you can operate them from a standard dimable wall switch as well as control it from your phone as you have a partially automated home.
One thing that is really important to include in the A/C install is the UV filter. It really cleans the air nicely. I am glad to see that he has set the unit onto the rubber mat. I would recommend using straps to also secure it to the joists.
Interesting that Allie is craving red meat, because, when I was pregnant, I craved ice cubes and walking barefoot on the ground. When I told my Dr. that he thought my body was low on iron, so he tested me, YES! It WAS! Since red meat also contains iron, Allie may be low on it, as well. Just a thought! He also told me that foods that contain iron were FAR better for me than taking iron pills...so, I upped my iron and I was just fine, and so was baby!
That snow is crazy. I'm still happy that we don't get much snow where I live. I'm totally happy with all the rain instead. Plus, it stays green here year-round. Well, except for the deciduous trees and shrubs.
Maybe it would be a good idea to insulate the ceiling of the crawl space, to help keep the floors above warm.
Love to see the progress! That snow in the back is amazing. Especially outside the bedroom windows. I sure hope the snowmelt doesn’t seep inside the addition like it did in the garage last year.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this to you in the comments (I have not read them) but you have a "small black slash" on the screen (monitor) from one of your cameras. I don't know how long it has been there but I remember seeing it as far back as your last airplane flight. On my 27 inch screen (monitor) it is about 1/2 inch long. I don't know which camera lens it is on. It runs in this direction "/" and is about 1/3 of the way from the left edge of the screen (monitor). It is wider than this "/" and is more of a smudge than a distinct line.
When Trent mentioned to train Leka to Deliver boards for them, I thought of a time when my pup a lot smaller than Leka did that very thing in a lumber year that I was delivering to. Miniature American Eskimo that I named Kasper had picked up a 6 foot 2x4 and brought it to me
