As someone who has had spinal fluid leaks myself from a spinal tap, and I’m also a nurse, it is best to have your spinal leak repaired because if you don’t you are at an increased risk of infection due to the opening. I also have a rare disease called idiopathic Intacranial hypertension(means the cerebral spinal fluid pressure is too high, that makes leaks more likely to happen. Go to Germany where they will be better able to treat your condition. If I were in your shoes that is what I would recommend. Sending love and prayers to you beautiful people from the USA 🇺🇸.

My spouse had an episode with his multiple sclerosis while we were on our honeymoon in Germany, it turned out to be the best thing that could've happened because the doctors there changed his quality of life dramatically. We ended up having more precious time together because of them, so seeing another specialist in that field can be life changing. ❤
Time to dig into real cause of MS. Caused by same white coats who offer empty promises for fixing...endless circles of money by sold-out scammers.
My beautiful wife has been dealing with MS since around 2006. She deals with pain on a daily basis and she still manages to smile and laugh. She is definitely a strong person never giving into her disease.

My niece was treated at Cedar Sinai by Dr. Wouter Schievink who is a Dutch doctor that specializes in CSF leaks. We all want resolution for a health issue and just so you know, my niece is doing well, still running and living an active life (in her early 40’s).

I have a cranial CSF leak and have done extensive research. CSF expert is Dr. Ian Carroll at Stanford University Hospital. He teaches neurosurgeons and ENTs. If blood batches do not work then a non invasive fibrin glue is what is needed.
Sara and Luca need to have Turin specialist have a conference call with Dr. Ian Carroll.
If they participated in the "experimental jabs" over recent years, white coats will NOT tell truth about their situations or offer honest solutions. Millions around world are suffering from results of joining the "experiments". I watched their big, approval meeting before launching "experiments", and they OPENLY discussed KNOW serious results...and still voted it through anyway. Money and power talks louder than integrity.

I felt exactly the same. Coming from a family where touch is minimal at best, and support is non- existent, it really touched me to see his father reach out and show his love and support with a touch ❤❤❤ I would give anything to have that.
My son developed double vision a few years ago after a flight. He had to wear special lens and had little hope of a it being cured after brain scans ect. But s surgeon arrived in our city who could operate and rejoin the nerve . He went for it after a year of struggling to see . It worked out fine , medical breakthroughs happen all the time. Please do not feel as though it can't be fixed in the near future ❤
I don't know if Luca is aware that drinking cold caffeined drinks was recommended by my doctor when i had a CSF leak and i would get some terrible headaches. So i feel for Luca, as the headaches are no fun. My leak was caused after a spinal tab was done when i had GBS. Drinking ice cold caffeined Coke or Pepsi helped so much with the painful headaches. But you do need to drink at least 2 or 3 cans at one time. But they worked so well for the headaches and almost immediately they would be completely gone. I did have a second operation to seal the leak and it was successful. That was over 10 years ago. Of course for me i never fully recovered from the GBS.
But the leak was stopped, i just don't know why it didn't seal the first time. But the second operation was successful. i do remember being very concerned about the future and was sent to a different doctor/surgeon.
I was told that he was one of the best. So i think it is important to see someone who knows what they are doing, and that are experienced with it. i do think your best option is in Germany with an experienced person. And I have only heard very good things about health care in Germany.
Of course this is your decision to make. i do want to offer you hope that with the right surgeon it can make a huge difference. If you heard that the doctor in Germany is great, i would not waste time and just go to Germany as soon as you can. But this is your decision to make after talking to different people. If you can check with that doctor's office in Germany if they could give you contacts of patients that were successfully treated with him, and ask them for their advise, it will elevate any fears and anxiety you may feel. i hope i didn't sound to pushy but i just want the best for you guys. Sometimes there are support groups out there that have people willing to help with information and how to have a successful outcome. What ever decision you make for yourself and your family is okay with us. We just want you guys to beat this and we can then enjoy watching videos on olive production etc. Take care.

The Germany option sounds like the best option to me. Personally, I would not do anything strenuous until after you are well. Just walking and basically staying active without any physical stress. I would call Germany right away to set up an appointment just in case there is a long wait time. You can always cancel it if you should change your mind. ❤ I think doing nothing is the worst option. It’s always the worst option unless something can heal without doing anything. Whatever you decide, keep smiling and believing that you will get well.

Meanwhile, many REAL German healers LEFT Germany years ago due to persecution. The entire white coat business is a cess pool of corruption and sold-out minions. Would have ZERO faith in anyone wearing a white coat at this point in history. Real ones with real knowledge were driven out.

When I first took it, I ate a very small piece of seaweed along with 2000mg of propolis 4 times a day on an empty stomach (such as 30-60 minutes before meals). I reduced the frequency to twice a day once I was well, and eventually to once a day. I still do this once every day (in the morning about an hour before breakfast). If seaweed is air dried and preserved in salt, it can be used instead of fresh. Just rinse well and rehydrate in water. A 1 inch by 1 inch dry piece of seaweed is enough (it will get bigger in water).
I adored my two children, and relished every moment of their growing up (they are 35 & 39 now), and I can truly say that Luca and Sara love Luce so very very much. That child is taken care of wonderfully. I loved the "spa treatment" that they had on the lounge chair. Sara talking to Luce as though she were a client at a spa:). So very sorry that the news for Luca was not as good as everyone had hoped. But not all is lost, if it were me, I would go to Germany and at least see what the doctor has to say. I would not do the procedure he has had done twice before. But again of course, it is his life and he must do as he sees fit and is comfortable with. I wish you both a VERY VERY LONG and HEALTHY life, enjoying every moment with Luce. Such a lovely family.

In the USA, the top three hospitals that handled the most CSF leaks are the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, Duke Heath in North Carolina, and Cedar Sinai in New York. I am sure your doctor is very knowledgeable but these three facilities handle thousands of CSF leaks each year. God bless you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Yes. I was coming here to say the same thing. There are facilities in the states that have vast experience with CSF. We actually have a friend with the same illness and he was treated in Boston. I would think about coming to the States for treatment.
I had a CSF leak in 2015. We have such advance technology for these leaks.

Hi Luca, I also had a CFS leak from having a Miligram Catscan. I had it for 3.5 weeks prior to surgery and then after surgery. Because it was a few levels above the herniated disc I was having surgery on (L5S1), my surgeon didn't see the leak while fixing the herniation. One week after surgery, the CSF leak started leaking out the surgery site. I was then put in hospital for 3 weeks where they inserted a tube above where the leak was and the CSF fluid drained into a bottle that sat on the floor. He explained that they didn't want the fluid moving where the hole was in hopes the hole would heal it self with not having any movement of fluid around the flap of the hole. We are always making CSF fluid but I have to say it was not pleasant to have this done. I experienced the worst headache I've ever had, but thankfully the hole healed over. The headache was gone within a half hour of removing the drain. I apologize for this lengthy comment, but wanted to let you know how they got rid of the CSF leak I had. I pray you get through this very soon.

I don't even use much pain meds after surgery or cry from large kidney stones but the headache after spinal tape was excruciating for days on end. Wishing that Luca fins best doc and that you stay well.

I'm a Brit expat living in Berlin and 13 years ago I had a slipped disk, resulting in Dural leakage.
The operation required part of the vertebrae being removed and the leak plugged.
I had to spend 3 days on my back in the hospital bed before I could slowly and carefully get up.
I was sent for 4 (?) weeks of physiotherapy in a clinic and so far so good! But I'm 30 years older than you❤🤭☺️😘😘😘♥️♥️♥️

I had a CSF leak after cervical spine surgery in 1999 which was repaired with a patch. I’m 69 years old and I’ve been lucky that it has held up all these years, with no side effects. I would imagine they have advanced in the last 25 years. It is very difficult when the doctors don’t have a definitive prognosis. My prayers are with you and your beautiful family!❤️🙏🙏🇨🇦

You should surely avoid all heavy work and take a rest when needed as you have symptoms. Your health is most important and live your life the way is healthy for you. I agree with many comments below that doing something about your condition is better than expecting it to heal itself. New advances in medicine occur daily and you certainly deserve proper treatment. I would pursue that path. Good luck to all - Luce looks more like her mother everyday.

Hey guys, So happy to see that Daddy Claudio is doing well and you got to spend precious time.
Sorry to hear of the news that Luca’s CFSL is not resolved. I’m a nurse in the United States and I have seen the condition but mostly after epidurals for birthing mothers. Usually resolved with blood patch but obviously that method of treatment has not worked for Luca. I have witnessed the extreme pain it causes where the new moms cannot even tolerate sitting up at all. I don’t see that as an option to live like that.
I’m not sure if the Germany option included the same surgery they had never done in Italy or something different. It seems to me that this is not so rare that no one knows how to repair these chronic leaks. I would definitely explore other countries and make an adventure out of that. I know this puts your plans on hold but what’s the sense of trying to move forward if every few months if even years it becomes an issue.
I really feel for you all snd as a mega Al professional I feel the need to encourage you to find a solution. Unfortunately the way the medical business is now it take’s patients to do their own research and options for themselves. I know insurance is also a dilemma. I will pray and do my own research to see if I hear of anything that’s out there to help you,

Option no 1 is the same. You cannot keep putting patches on the same spot. Like a prized wine flask, covering with patches, eventually it comes off. Option no. 2, never done, I would not become the mouse in the lab. Option no 3., something to try. It means traveling, setting up a place to stay.
You two are such wonderful parents! Luce smiles all the time because her parents smile so much! Hang in there----healing comes with love.

Luca, we are HAPPY that you included us with an update on your Health issue's. We are very concerned over your spinal fluid leak as our youngest son, David has had this very issue. Of late, he has had a patch put on his leak, yet the leak continues. His Primary Care has requested surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and we await there decision. Mostly, this episode was truly beautiful and we are so thankful you all have shared your Father's Health issue's as well. God Bless this Beautiful Family and keep them HEALTHY!

In the US: Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC is one of only 3 centers working continuously on this problem over the past 10 years. Also: Dr. Schievink @ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, LA. A number of doctors and teams around the country and the world have been picking up the practices of those 3 teams as well as doing research and making great developments on spinal CSF leak diagnosis and treatment of their own. Most will refer complex cases to Duke or Cedars.

I miei amori piu cari, I could not bring myself to write yesterday. I’m sorry doesn’t begin to express how sad I feel that the CSF leak did not resolve. If there is any chance at all that you can see the doctor in Germany, please please get your records and at least go for a consultation. It’s no farther than what I did twice, during Covid, to go to Rochester Minnesota to Mayo Clinic, from Florida, for help with my long Covid, alone. You have to exhaust all resources until you find the answers. They may be the same as what your doctor in Turin has said, but please, you have to try. You know that Sara will be with you and stay right by your side. I understand how Daddy Claudio feels. Whatever he just went through, he is also there to help you, and Mama Brune too. Meanwhile, it was wonderful to see you all in the beautiful resort, having fun and eating beautiful food, and especially watching Luce run, swim, laugh, and be the “light” of not only your family, but countless others all over the world. If I push myself my heart tries to stop or my brain goes into black-out mode, I can't swim, Steep driveways defeat me, I walk in meters not miles. But Im out with my camera's every day, doing what I like, I take small steps, distance is 4 wheels, mountains are Dji, Big steps take you where you want to go, small steps make you enjoy the journey, The enjoyment of life is not a race walk with your family and enjoy life Be 90years old not missing, Get out of the fear mindset , reset how you think, Lots of love beautiful people xxx

My son-in-law had the same thing that you have and they were trying to get him to have surgery. His wife looked it up on RUclips and found that sometimes this can see caused by low testosterone. They convinced his Dr to test his testosterone and it was extremely low. The Dr prescribed testosterone shots every two weeks. It has been a few years now and no more leaks or debilitating headaches. My daughter gives him the shots. Please if you haven't already been tested for low testosterone ask your Dr for the simple test. ❤

Luca, we wish you had better news but it sounds like you’ve got options and although it’s not exactly what you hoped to hear, at least you have those and between you and Sarah you will figure it out. This will take a lot of soul-searching.

No wonder you look so tired, Sara! I so understand how you must feel the world on your shoulders. I had the same when my husband was sick. Everything came on me. The care of the house, the animals, the care for him! Once he was healed I crashed and I feel still fragile. You must feel the samebeing always worried abot Luca and the full care of Luce. Take care of yourself please and see you have down time from everything. I would suggest Luca to go the route of going to a specialist in Freiburg. Its obious that the Italian doctors don’t have enough experiance with your ilness.

Luca - the chronic illness community is so strong and we are here to support you. Don't give up hope...I became severely ill in 2021, and for a period of time could not really walk or get out of bed at all. I still have issues, but I have made giant steps from where I was. The one guarantee in life is change. Hugs.

I am amazed how well your father speaks English. Quite well and easy to understand. There are some channels I watch that have so many subtitles it can get your head spinning after a while so it’s nice to have a break. Your father has quite a positive attitude towards life, and yes, as an older person, I agree that we should enjoy life at this stage.
