Thanks bro! The only issue with this setup is how much it weighs. Makes it hard to use on a chest mount without bouncing around a ton.

Great video man, when you turn on the go pro does the go pro recognise there’s an external mic connected to it? Or do you have to mess with the settingsv

Great vid, exaclty what I was looking for. I'm thinking about getting this setup. GoPro 12 with Media Mod and then use ROD Wireless go. Do you think I'll still be able to mount the GoPro on my cap or will it be too heavy?
It will probably be too heavy at that point. I use the Insta 360 GO3 for hat clip shots

@@JaredHoff There seems to be no easy way to use the rode wireless mic with the insta 360. Do you know if the GoPro with MediaMod works with the GoPro Headstrap 2.0?

Recently got the GoPro Hero 9 with the media mod so I’m still figuring it all out. Based on your previous RUclips short of your setup, I’m assuming you can have 2 mic inputs at once? For example, could I use the media mod as like an interview mic while filming and have a lavalier mic for my voice? Will the camera record both mic inputs in the same video clip? Otherwise, I’ll just record lavalier audio separate via the good ole Zoom H1N recorder and sync audio later.
Rode wireless GO II allows you to record two audio channels as long as you have to wireless mics. Then you just plug the lab mic into on of the wireless mics and it would work.

In your opinion what is the best mic for gopro media mod? I have the 10 and 9 gopro.
Depends on how much money you want to spend. Rode wireless GO II is amazing, but pricey.
Any settings I need to do in rode app. And I used the transmitter with the deadcat facing near my chin. I caught lot of wind noise. Is it normal?
@@sbkkannadiga2535 placement of the mic and the direction of the dead cat into the wind, definitely affects the wind noise
@@JaredHoff Thanks. Can you please share any specific settings we need to do in GoPro under preferences? I did the following. I changed the setting to powered mic+, In rode central app, I selected the gain as strong and merged audio. So I just want to know when I record my motorcycle ride using the gopro with the setup you mentioned in video, the footage of gopro will have audio captured by the rode wireless audio or there will be two separate audio files which I need to choose in post edit?
@@shreyassv3290 the audio will just record like normal. I’d recommend putting the mic inside the helmet and see how that works to get no wind noise.
If battery die, and change the battery, do you need to set the mic?
When you battery dies and you charge the battery, it doesn’t change the settings. Just plug it back in and use it.
