Side-note: while trying to find a fix for the "lag issue" I tried already 2 or 3 other solutions, but they were referring to dead URLs (2005 and 2006 fixes) or utilizing some unnecessarily complex workarounds. Fully qualified kudos ;)
I don't have the game through Steam, just a CD. I have Windows 10 and I followed all the instructions, but nothing happened. Do the instructions only work for Steam games? Where can I find help for CD-ROM?
It works, thank you very much! The only issue is with the pointer, which leaves a trail on menus. That's tolerable, though, as the gameplay is unobstructed. I'm very happy that it is playable. That's what matters the most.
There is a better problem free solution :D 1) Get the latest dgVoodoo 2 2) Copy the contents of its MS directory to your game directory 3) Run the dgVoodoo2 setup executable 4) In the DirectX tab, select your emulated video card of choice (I suggest "dgVoodoo Virtual 3D Accelerated Card") 5) Check the "Fast video memory access" check box 4) Click OK (will apply changes and close the setup program) 5) Run the game
Both this and dgVodoo 2 works to an extent, but I am getting 22 fps (instead of vanilla version's 11, but it's still slow af) Any tips for how to resolve this? I read on some wiki that game's fps is capped at 20, but I think there are ways to uncap it, right? I've played it before and I don't remember it feeling so laggy

I have two monitors, a 2k and a 1080p one. On the 2k monitor the game didn't work so i decided to disable the 2k one and try on the 1080p one and it's working. Maybe this is the same for you, you cand give it a shot :)
I can't really get the resolution to work, my screen is 1680x1050, but i can only get it to fill like 1/4 of the screen. Any ideas why it is not working?

Turns out you can get the game to run with the latest version- I tried it- but nothing fixes it. I went through every menu like fifteen times, and believe me, that took ages- game remained the same. Seems 2.9 is the only known version to work with Robin Hood.

It works, thanks ! To avoid the mouse flicker, I ticked "Compensate Flip emulation" under the "DirectX" tab.
