    I know editing is time consuming but you missed an opportunity on the opening of the lid of the trailer. You could of cut to repo man where the police officer gets vaporized behind the Malibu leaving a pair of empty boots behind or cut to the scene where the faces get melted off when they open the ark of the covenant on Indiana Jones.

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  Год назад +2

      Shhheeeeeit, brah. That was 70% inspired by Repo Man. 10% Raiders. You missed Eraserhead infused sound creepiness and a touch of Pulp Fiction. I was gonna take a 10k watt generator to blast 20k watt lights, but that FX equipment wouldn't fit. Now go get some sushi.... and not pay!

  • @ShaneZettelmier
    @ShaneZettelmier Год назад +2

    Seems to work pretty good. Just make sure you pack the weight low when you fill it up. If it was me I’d still probably cut the axle and stretch it out a few more inches and lower it but I’m just weird like that. It seem to work pretty well as is. The Truck Nuts seem to work especially well.

    I designed a hitch to pull a trailer with my TW and the hight of the hitch makes a world of difference it needs to be inline and the axles not above and bolted to the frame not the swingarm

    • @OffGridandWhiskey

      Hang on... are you saying do not bolt a trailer hitch to the swing arm?

  • @harryfatcat

    Yeah, ditch the chains. I wonder if a few less psi in the trailer tires would help?

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  Год назад

      I agree. If the Heim Coupler failed, I'd rather have the trailer roll away and not be a big boat anchor. Good idea. I'll lower the PSI for the next test ride. Currently, beefing up the hitch. Thanks for watching/commenting, and stay tuned for more!

      The truck nutz could've been hanging a bit low when making that turn causing the rear tire to spin out... either way, funny as hell- glad you kept it in the video. BTW, how long did it take you to assemble your HF nomad?

    The the issue with most MC towing setups is that since the rear is lightened when braking, if you brake in a curve the trailer tends to want to "pit maneuver" the bike. Also, contrary to where a hitch is installed on a car, the mounting point is usually some un-sprung area like the swingarm, so the trailer transits a great deal of jerky input to the bike. But since I don't have an ATV I did rig up a pivot ball receiver on m y KLR to dolly a log splitter around the yard.

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  Год назад +1

      Yes. That makes sense. I haven't experimented with weight yet in the trailer. I'm beefing up the tow hitch 1st. It did tow pretty smooth, tho. In the meantime, the latest Tdub ride video is here: ruclips.net/video/ks8VBHzx0Fg/видео.html

      Cool! I'll check it out. I love it when people rig up things to motorcycles. There a video in which a guy has a frame to carry a paramotor engine/harness/prop assembly (!) on the back of his bike. About 10 years ago I put a Park Tool PRS-7 bike repair clamp on the back of my '05 DL650. I use it to carry a bicycle on the back!. 'Haven't lost a bicycle yet......

    From the movie Little Fauss and Big Halsy- I was going as fast as I could and fell off. Training wheels might have helped. The overhead view of the hitch looked like it moved off center of the rear wheel. I know that feeling off TMB's.

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  Год назад

      The hitch is built off center to compensate for the sprocket. Little Pocket and Big Rocket...

    Cut the inner tubes out of your old Schwinn Varsity and sleeve them over the safety chains. Might quiet the ride. Better idea is cut them off altogether. If that trailer comes unhitched it would probably be better to let it run than take you down. Waiting to see the mud flaps next. Cheers
