Super thankful for my Father In Law, Kenny, to take the time and share what he thinks of his 2022 TW200 and what he has done to it so far. This guy has put so many miles on 4 different TW200's and has a pretty solid opinion of them through years of ownership. I'm stoked and grateful that my family and I still have him around!
I appreciate both of you...
Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 💐🏅👌🏻
I bought an 86’ Honda XL250R just like the one seen at the beginning of the video brand new from the dealer in 86’. My son has it now. It has had hardly anything done to it. Still fires up and rides well.
Still think you have one of the best channels. I really like that you are real and just enjoy the bikes. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Great review! Your father-in-law seems like a good man - the kind of man that would make an excellent nextdoor neighbor!
Yeah, he's a pretty good dude! 😂
Glad to see the Tdub is a family bike! Thanks for sharing :)
Yep, there a 5 of them in the fam......so far.
I just bought my 1st TW200 today. Listening to your videos helped make my decision to buy it.
SWEET!! Congrats on getting the bike. That's awesome that these videos helped. I hope you enjoy your TW as much as we have!
I like how both of you make it so simple reviewing....thanks alot 👌🏻🇸🇦💐
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Kenny & Matt, this review says it all!....♥it
Thanks Jason! We appreciate it!
Great video Matt. I agree with everything he said. I run the same setup 47 in the rear. Better gas mileage and it really doesn’t take away from the low end power. Again great video.
Thanks Dave! Yeah, he has some good insight and a love for the TW200! Thanks for watching and the comment.
How do you think upping the counter shaft sprock one tooth would affect performance?
Hey Matt, say hi to Kenny for me. Nice to see someone my age still riding. Seems to me he’s the man that got all you fellas into T-Dubbing. Good man! Anyway as I mentioned to you earlier I wound up with a good (great) condition 2015 XT250 with a little over 3000 miles on it after literally years of trying to find a new or decent used T-Dub. I haven’t given up. Makes me happy to see another old fella doing what I’m doing. Everything Kenny said about the TW applies to the XT. Except little bigger motor, skinny tires, fuel injection but same super low seat height. It sure would be a cheap upgrade for Yamaha to transplant that power train into a T-Dub. Do you think that would ruin or improve the T-Dub? Really appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. Thanks again.
Hey Gary! I will let Kenny know for sure! He still has a lot of miles left in him and he loves getting out on the TW200 and just cruising around. I think that engine in the TW would be a lot of fun really. But, who knows what will happen. Thanks for watching and for the comment, I really appreciate it.
Thanks alot for the videos. Trying to decide on either this or a Honda monkey, lol. I am sure I will end up w a new tdub, thanks partly to your videos !
Thank you from Canada !
Hey Ricky!! Thanks for watching and for the comment, I appreciate it! I love the TW's and they are great machines. The Monkey isn't bad either.......check this one out! This belongs to a guy that rides TW's with us! ruclips.net/video/E4jDBYoQLYY/видео.htmlsi=Nyb7DG_z9Uvce4iN
thanks ken and Matt for the insight..and a word from the wise .
You bet Vinny! Thanks for watching.
You’re the biggest fan of TW and doing great for the TW community
Thank You! I love this bike! Looking forward to Tdub fest next weekend.
Nice man to carry extra gas for other's who may be in need. I have the exact same bike bought used with 250 miles on it. Stoked to mod it and ride it more. Hopefully see you at the next TW Fest.
Yeah, he'd be one you'd wanna run into for sure! Come out next September to Tdub Fest! It was a blast.
My 2024 is qll torn apart in the living toom with less than a mile on it. Going to be a sick build. Nice bikes practical and safe
I can't wait to see how it all turns out!
Heckova review. A++
Thanks Clark! I appreciate it.
It would be nice for kenny to do a video on lawn maintenance. Thats some nice looking grass especially around there.
Seriously! He won't even share his secrets with me!
The fourth one, that's a testament right there! Did he introduce you to the bike Matt?
Nice gas mileage and overall mileage. Sounds like a lot of happy riding. Little tractor bike goes put-put :)
Yessir!! I can't remember if it was him or my buddies. I did some mods for my buddies on their TW's and I can't remember if I really started to like them from that or if it was the one that he had.
I like the Vortex hat.
Uses the brand like crazy with all sorts of their gear!
Great bike for a lot of reasons. I owned 2 BUT you never mention the bothersome choke. Even here in Florida's weather, she's a pain to start. I prefer my KLX230s . Start her up and go. No waiting for a cold engine to warm up.
Honestly, I haven't really had to choke it in anything but the very cold and then you run it for a few minutes and it's good to go. I would actually prefer this over my KLX230s. I have the 2022 and that idle is what bothers me the most about that bike. But, I do love the Engine and Trans on the KLX.
I had been looking at one of these for months. And as I waited the price went up. So on the 19th of October 2023 I bought a brand new one. The dealer was easy to work with. No games, just a straight out purchase. Cheap payments. Nice bike, good looking and very capable. If you want a good all around bike this is it. So happy I bought one. Feels good to pull up to the gas pump and for less than ten bucks you fill up. In my truck it cost me 173 dollars to fill it up. Pass on that now. GREAT BIKE!!!!!👍
Sweet!! Congrats on finally getting one. Yeah, gas on these are way nice compared to our trucks! 😂
Well done talking about the tw 200...
I've found the stock jetting was pretty good up to about 11,000 feet. Above that it really struggles, but until you get to that point it works fine.
EXCELLENT! That's good to hear. I haven't ridden over 11,000' yet, but that is good to know!
What area are you in? State. Love your videos!
Thanks Joseph! Utah is home!
Any experience on a suzuki dr200 to compare?
not yet, but I will see what I can do!
what is the reason why he upgraded 3 times. Did he wear them out?
Nah, he didn't wear them out. He sold and bought different bikes to try and kept coming back to the TW200! He had the KLR650 and the Honda XR650s and just found that he likes the TW the best.
What was the HeadLight upgrade he got?
Tach industries! They are great headlights. Here is the link. tach-industries.com/collections/yamaha-tw200-parts/products/tw200-l-e-d-headlight
90+miles Per Gallon??? Seriously? Boy I could get to love that
Yep, it happened all the time on his bike!
I was going to buy the TW200, however the deales around here could not get me one. I en buying a Kawasaki 650. It is a great up grade
Yeah, I know what you mean. That KLR is a solid machine for sure!
I stopped by because i voted on the title earlier!
Awesome!! Thanks for chiming in and this title won out so that's what it ended up being.
Dang Hippies
😂
I'm going to assume the shot gun he puts in the gun rack is for hunting and not shootin' Hippies🤣
Yep, grouse season is open right now!
5 CDI's on mine
Stock CDI's?
@@MOBStreet83 YES
Worst motorcycle I ever owned, no suspension and a lawnmower engine
That's too bad. That lawn mower engine hauled me all over the mountains this weekend while I was camping. Carried me and all my gear and the suspension handled it all fine.
Put a pipe filter and jet kit on mine and i been playing with the carb ever since. Might try another jet kit. Love it tho
Nice! Good luck getting it all sorted out.
