Star Trek:
Through my life, it has taught me so much
Kirk taught me physical courage in the face of danger
Spock taught me to analyze the world logically
McCoy taught me to balance that logic with compassion
Picard taught me to show moral courage even when the whole world was against me
Crusher taught me to care more than might be safe
Sisko taught me to make tough calls
Data taught me to constantly move forward towards even the most unattainable goals
Worf showed me to balance strength with honor
Ro taught me that redemption is possible if one falls
And through it all, I learned that all life deserves respect because it is precious.
Janeway taught me to never, ever give up.
@@1701echopapa I just finished TNG and started voyager and I love janeway, not because shes a woman obv i just think shes a kickass captain more akin to kirk than Picard
@@hamzakhairi4765 Because Picard was more a Pacifist than a Warrior, on the other hand, Both Janeway and Kirk are Fighters.
@@davidfernandobacquerieestr4940 I would say diplomat rather than pacifist. When the shit hits the fan, Picard is not above standing up to an aggressor or using force.
This is going to sound absolutely stupid, but Wesley taught me even when the world seems against you because you’re younger, that doesn’t make you inferior.
This is the first TNG tribute video that really captured the essence of TNG's appeal: the gentle humanism, the wisdom, and inspirational quality. GREAT JOB.
There's another good video, entitled, "the vision of Star Trek, a video essay"
This is not just a tribute to a television show. This could be one of humanity's magnum opus moments. This show, warts and all, contains within a message we have surely forgotten: we are better working together then apart. When we as a species finally realize that we can do more despite, not because of, our differences...we can almost literally move mountains and part oceans. The message missing from us at this moment in time: we can be better even with our flaws. We can manage our dark impulses with more then just wealth or religion or power. We can even learn, if we just stop for one moment and listen to our fellow man instead of summary judgment blocking us from knowing both sides of the story.
Which is why you listened to vegans and became a vegan yourself just like in Star Trek?
I think your statement is slightly wrong.
When we work together we become the total sum of our individual strengths, and others make up for our individual weaknesses.
It is not despite our differences, it’s our differences that make us able to complete the pattern.
@@KerstinMamma Change takes time.
Shitty comment thanks
THIS is the sort of society we SHOULD be working towards. No more poverty, (theft related) crimes, monitery corruption, etc.
This dude casually drops 2 of the best Star Trek tribute videos in existence like it's nothing.
I had the scariest and darkest time in my life. When all was falling apart, just by accident (?) RUclips showed me this video. I cried, I do it almost every time when I'm watching it. You gave me strength, resilience and filled me with hope. This is the most beautiful message for the Humankind. Thank you so much 🖖🏻🌈☀️❤️
Same. Your disclosure gave me the courage to open up like I did in my comment above. Thanks for that.
Hi, Peter. It's a year on from your posting this comment and I hope life has treated you well. Keep the faith and remember that "the sky's the limit". ❤️
@@Martin-wh6um On the contrary, the sky is not the limit. Here's to what lies ahead for us all!
Of course it is a beautiful message.
At your darkest hour scream “there are four light.” Let it be known that life can sometimes beat you, but it cannot defeat you.
30 years later this is still the best TV show i've ever seen. A show that taught compassion, optimism, and teamwork - real world values we should all strive to live by. The writing and characters were top-notch, and it explored philosophy and human nature beautifully. Most modern TV shows (including the newer Trek stuff) will never hold a candle to it.
my favorite show of all time . i watch it over and over again
Hey, it's the funny edit man
I dedicate this video to my dear friend who died this past weekend (02-10-24) who loved star trek. Rest in Heaven, Vernon E Mundy. I'll see you again someday buddy 😔
My condolences
If only our modern leaders can be just like Picard... 😳
I know right..
When Picard says "I would trust each of you with my life" it's so sincere and true because there's 7 seasons that prove it. Each member of the crew of the Enterprise has immense respect and admiration for Picard and he gives them the same respect and admiration in return.
🤓 looking back if it wasn't for quarantine I wouldn't have binge watched Star Trek! Fell in love with the show and it's positive messages! ❤ I'm a trekkie for life 🥰 Live long & Prosper Everyone!! 🖖🏾
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity. I wish this could be true.
There has never been anything quite like Star Trek, my youth moulded, attitude shaped and imagination inspired. I long for this world.
Humanity has such potential, if we could only tap into ourselves to truly be something more than what we have been lead to believe. I have been watching Star Trek for 50 years and still desire to see mankind become more like what we see in all the Star Trek series. Working as one, no borders, no wars, no boundaries, everyone using their resources together to improve humanity rather than destroying itself. Hopefully someday we will get there. 🖖
I tell people all the time that humanity is biggest resource of untapped potential there's ever been...
They usually think I'm a crazy idealist...and they may be right...but that doesn't me I'M wrong. LLAP ;)
AMEN
Well said.. Work on yourself its all you can do..
Now this is Star Trek. The modern incarnations have forgotten what Star Trek is supposed to be.
SNW and lower decks is pretty on point still
I remember hearing about the backlash over this masterpiece of a TV series. No one wanted to accept this new ship and new crew. But TNG adventures and crew finally won us over around Season 3. And boy, the end of that season packed a wallop. It literally became the greatest TV cliffhanger in history
I love all of Star Trek, but I will always feel the closet to the TNG crew, what a great bunch of people. In character, and in real life.
For me it was
TNG
DS9
VOYAGER
and ENTERPRISE
After that I stopped because of Discovery that ruined it for me 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
I have seen hundreds of TNG tribute videos, but this one stands head and shoulders above them all. At least, for me. I share the sentiments in the other comments about how much we needed this video. I am going though a rough time right now---job loss, therapy, loneliness---and this video is giving me hope. Thank you so much. I mean that.
I hope things have gotten/get better for you. Wishing you well.
I hope you are better and you were able to organize your life. It's been 3 years now.
I NEEDED THIS WAY MORE THAN I THOUGHT I DID
TNG introduced me to Star Trek as a whole! During the first lockdown, I watched all 7 seasons, all 4 films and the spin-off series Picard! TNG is my Star Trek and this tribute really captured everything of that crew. Truly heart-warming! Good job pal!
Star Trek captures the human spirit in film, moreso than any piece of cinema I've ever experience before. TNG specifically. You know, before I actually sat down and watched Star Trek...I always assumed I would never like it, but it's probably one of the most important pieces of human cinema to ever be made. It captures in perfection, what we want to be, what we strive to be, and what I hope we will be some day; even if my great grand-children are the ones that see it and not I.
Needed this. No matter what they do to Star Trek, We will always have this to fall back to. Thank You
It’s not so much what “they do to Star Trek”.......It will always change and evolve. But you’re right that we will always have TNG.....and we must have all been good boys and girls because it’s coming back in the form of the new Picard series. I will guarantee you that we’ll see most of these characters again.
Rob In no way would I call the garbage that Trek has been reduced to “evolving.”
I can assure you that the new Picard series is going to be the same dumbed down action schlock crap as the JJverse films and the recent STD abomination.
Another once great franchise down in flames...
Billyboyjennings i agree that start trek has got worse however i think STD is a good series, but not a good star trek series. If you get what i mean
@@1978rharris Instead of coming back, the writers took us even further away from Trek when they made the new Picard series. :(
Nothing but blue skies... do I see...
Gene Roddenberry would be very proud of you! Makes me tear up every time.
Nice editing in which selected footages show full meaning of Star Trek universe and philosophy!🖖👍🙂
Captures perfectly what Star Trek is truly about
Forgotten yet not lost values that we all need to strive towards
I'm not crying, you're crying
As a lifelong Trek fan from the very beginning... I love this... so many valid truths in this. Thanks!!!!
THIS IS AMAZING OMG IM CRYING
Sherry Birkin me too xx
Same.

SAME
This is why I love this show!
THIS should be the trailer for TNG on all streaming services! Bloody well done
Wow. Just wow. A truly inspired video. Loved the animated TNG logo at the end. Kudos!
I don't care what both fans and non-fans of Star Trek say: THIS is what Star Trek always was suppose to be. THIS is why TNG was the BEST of what Star Trek ever was. And whenever any iteration of Star Trek failed, the root of their failure can be traced back to them forgetting to be just this!
👏👏👏💯❤👍👍 Magnificently done!
beautiful tribute for a great tv show and even the whole franchise. maybe one day humanity think that way
this is an amazing video when your feeling down it shows that humanity can get better and life can be better well done great job from a trekkie
Well... that's put a smile on my face.
LLAP🖖🏽
so this is somewhat of a trailer for this show. I just finished it, and I want to watch it again because of this. well done.
this came right in time thank you so much !!!!!!!!
Made my day
this is the kindest, most inspiring and warm video that I have seen 💛💛💛
I wish the show runners for Discovery would understand the meaning behind this compilation.
Absolutely incredible!! :D
Brilliant, thanks for uploading this.
Beautiful!
What a fantastic video! The world needs this!!
This made me tear up. Thank you!
I cried, this is beautiful. I know star trek TNG longer than half of my live, I will always love it
This is beautiful!
super cool video. thx for shareing. we need more of those. LLAP ☺❤
Great video love the message
Wonderful!
I just pulled this out of my Favourites list (while coincidentally going through TNG again) and this gave me shivers.
Amazing. Thank you for this!
This video gave me goosebumps !!
The d was never my favorite enterprise, but she was dam beautiful!!
This is so on point.
Thank you for creating it and not degrading ST to just another BattleCompilation.
BRILLIANT... This is so well made, good job... THANK YOU!
In the times we are going through now, we forget the wonder and rewards of being human. Star Trek, though largely about different aliens, shows us what we can become if we all come together. This is what gives me hope.
thank you
Congratulations...
You've manipulated the circumstances, with the skill...
...of a Romulan..!!
One of my favorite moments!!
Very well done. Props
This video is amazing! :D
It is obvious that the work of Gene Roddenberry, continues on, inspiring many lives to be better, re-shaping and many times, making us reflect about ourselves and others. I believe, that is what he wanted, for all of us to see that potential, and to inspire to it. Star Trek made a difference in many people lives, including mine, as I was motivated to study computer engineering and then medicine. But it also made me think more about life itself, and to cherish moments with the ones love, family, friends, and the community, as well as always strives to better myself. Of all the TV shows. I have seen, Star Trek has been the most inspiring and fun. My teenage kids love it, that tells you how good that is that still in 2020, some young minds are attracted to it. Just look at the comment themselves, that tells how much this program meant to many, and will continue to do so. “Let’s make it so”.
BRAVO!
Great stuff !
my dude that was beautiful.
Love that this music is playing, after seeing the first episode of picard
"Let's see what's out there...engage."
I still cant believe they didnt do more with The Inner Light storyline and the repercussions of that experience
Who let the onion cutting ninjas in again ????
this is amazing! wonderful video. i love these tributes. plsss do more of them.
TOS would be difficult. Voyager would be fun. DS9 would be so cool. Enterprise would be interesting.
DIS however i think would do my head in, but I would love to see this one too.
also the OG&Reboot films would be nice as well. PLSSS&TY sm in advance xoxoBEC
Holy. Shit. This is one hell of a tribute to TNG. I call that EPIC! Make it so, Vandar!
Just in case you guys haven't seen it, watch "For All Mankind," written by Ronald D. Moore. It could almost be a Star Trek prequel series and it alone is worth an Apple TV subscription!
I miss this
By any crazy chance, does anyone remember a star trek montage/tribute 20ish years ago that was set to the song "yellow brick road" by elton john? I saw it at a star trek convention in Phoenix 20 years ago and it would make my heart happy to watch it again. TIA
oh my goshhh this was so great! I'd love to see any other tributes you'd like to do, maybe a ds9 one? :D
My brother and I both went to the same uni at the same time and this year I've thrown myself into my studies and he into socializing. We drifted apart and it made me sad, but after seeing the episode with Picard and his brother...damn that hits different
The real star trek!
I fucking love Star trek ,it evokes every emotion I have
They're bringing the Magnificent 7 back to send off our captain. Should be a site to see.
If only the dilettante writers of 'Picard' had watched this video first, we would've had a rather different show. Star Trek remains a compass of our humanity.
Woah :O Goosebumps! TNG tv series was, IS, the BEST EVER!
Blows Destiny and Picard out of the water!
WOW ! I love TNG !!!! :D
Tng is my favorite Trek.
extremely well done. if you still have the build file for this, it would be interesting / fun to incorporate Picard Season 3 imagery into it as well.
Saw every episode ever made 🤷🏽♂️🤫 Holla
They sure don't make them like this anymore.
Moriarty, Q, and Lore disliked this video 😂
But Q is a fan of Picard, almost adores the guy.
I thought that It could have been possible that Data or Worf would have achieved the rank of Captain. Before the end of the NGST TV series
Fast land path
Mars
Came back to this after the Picard trailer, I'm so excited!
Please please do one for TOS!!!

This.
Can you make one of these for Discovery, but it's just video of you trying to flush a clogged toilet?
That was not necessary. Discovery gets better with every episode. I can't wait for next season.
