I might be drunk, but this is the future I want
amen
Amen
might! ^^
You aren't drunk. We, humans... We're all explorer at heart. Driven to know what's beyond the horizon...
It won't happen unless we Americans make it happen!
Star Trek: The idea of exploration.
Star Wars: The idea of good vs evil.
Battlestar Galactica: The idea of perseverance and defending all you hold dear.
Babylon 5: The idea that we can rise from the ashes to make something better.
Stargate: The idea that we have a bright future if we learn from the past.
All are amazing in their own right! And then... There's Andromeda
Wh40k: Star Trek didnt work god dammit
Thunderbirds: The idea that one of the most important questions is "How can I help"
@@SwordEncarmine it still can if we're all willing for it to work.
Agreed but just one correction: star trek: being the absolute best that humanity can be.
As a boy, Star Wars gave me a moral compass. As a man, Star Trek gives me the hope and inspiration to use it. Nothing but infinite diversity, connection, and love for who we may become as a species.
Precisely.
Same ❤
"Centuries ago, mankind sent it's first explorers into that void. They paved the way for the first colonies, the first starships.... for those of us who made space our home"
We can be these people.
Too bad we don’t have any new stuff :(
....as far as you know
We MUST be these people.
I wish we become these people🥲
@@matthewmcnerlin231nasa’s prototype ship design for the RL FTL drive looks like the first warp 1 enterprise so we might actually be close to making this possible in a while,e
It's 2023......and your video still continues to give me hope.
Thank you.
And now, it's 2024, and still, it gives me hope. Agreed. Thank you!
Still returning in 2024 as well
It is the unknown, that defines our existence. We are constantly searching, not just for answers to our questions, but for new questions.
Emissary was always one of my favorite episodes of Star Trek
"...That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence.”
― Q, All Good Things...
Questions such as, "How much heresy is one techpriest capable of?" and "Can I fit an entire chain-sword down this heretics throat?"

Fantastic. Just a brilliant tribute, very well done sir.
Bravo!!
100 Quatloos says CBS already DMCAd this amazing video.
@@Starch-Wreck Not yet
Thank You, Sir
This is such an excellent distillation of what makes Star Trek great: big ideas, wonderful characters, humanity bettering itself. You get it. Thank you for making and sharing this.
You get it, he gets it, I get it. Kurtzman doesn't get it.
@@kolar Seth McFarlane gets it
Thank you for all the nice comments everyone. LLAP :)
You're a truly gifted editor. This is art you've create here. Thank you so much for giving this gift to all of us. I'm so glad I found your work, and I hope you make more. Cheers!
Thank You, from the bottom of every Trekkies heart, for the most touching video i've, and many others, have had the express pleasure, and enjoyment, of watching. We might not be space explores, but in the great depths of RUclips to find this touches many.
Perfectly done. Got me very emotional.
Thank you for the hard work. Beautiful choice of images! Inspirational editing
The Vandar This video is fantastic, the first time I watched it, it made me choke up a bit!! I want to use it to get other people into Star Trek. Please can you update it with some Discovery stuff!! Well done LLAP 🖖
I'm not crying, you are crying! *damned allergies*
"Damned allergies _sniffles_"
"But dude it's not allergy seas-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP I HAVE ALLERGIES CARL!"
Neelix is cutting up Bolian Onions again
Exactly! We shall NEVER let history forget....the names....of the explorers! Both Earth, Federation's, and those that explored before humans......that truly star treked.
You make me want to crank up the Netflix and marathon me some Trek :)
Ru New I did it. Star Trek Voyager. 172 episodes plus Star Trek Discovery.
@@agushll74 leave out Discovery. It is a disaster.
@@rootehnix Not a disaster; just too often a missed opportunity.
they're taking Enterprise, Voyager, and TOS off of Netflix at the end of September 2021. Watch them while you can!!
@@skippythealien9627 no way! too bad for them that i got my emergency dvd packs ;)
"Buried deep within you…is the potential to make yourself a better man. And that is what it is to be human. To make yourself more than you are."
That should say Buried within you is the potential to make yourself a better Human. And that is what it is to be Human to make yourself better than you are. Not all the Human race is male, half is Female :) and then some are other Genders too like Trans or Non Binary etc.
I totally agree with you :) though the word 'man' derives from the Old English word 'Mann' which means 'human being', that's why I don't find this phrasing problematic :)@@sharonec5419
@sharonec5419 in that scene, Picard is talking to a clone of himself. Calling him a man is the correct word choice
This is so amazing. It's just a short recap of what life should be and an ecouragement to go chase that goal you've always wanted to reach. When Kirk said that it's time for a new crew to take over, I believe Roddenberry said to us: now it's time for you to boldly go, get out there, and make the world the most amazing thing it can be. I'm sure that if everyone would think the way Star Trek does, the world would be a much better place. Star Trek is my life, and this video portrayed exactly why.
Good comment.I agree
Every now and then I feel a little sad. And I come back and watch this and I feel less sad.
Voyager had some epic monologues damn
I sincerely hope that humanity becomes this one day.
I hope it's better than that...because this is a pretty low bar.
I literally have tears in my eyes right now! This is probably the most amazing and beautiful video I've ever seen.
99.9% likes. Holy crap. That is literally the highest i have ever seen. This is amazing! Awsome tribute.
Beautifully edited. Brought a tear to my eye. Bravo. Live long and prosper 🖖
To the creator of this video, just to let you know I am suing you for lost time. Because of you, I have spent 100s of hours rewatching these fantastic shows and movies.... This is a fantastic representation of Star Trek and you should be proud. Well Done!
I'm 26 years old, and Star Trek is the best thing ever happend to me :)
I've worked the past nine months (from october to july) as COVID-19 contact and trace investigator at my state health services. In those nine months i've seen more death and despair then most people do in a lifetime. Sometimes it was hard to see through the darkness of it all. When i thought i couldnt see through it anymore, I searched up this video and it showed and star trek (again) reminded me of the strength of humanity, and our ability to overcome great strife an do better ourselves
Very nice tribute! It conveyed perfectly what Star Trek is. Well done!
The world needs Star Trek. Now more than ever. 🖖🏻
Yup I agree with you. Now more than ever.
Two years after we need it more than ever.
Gene is looking down right now smiling at the community, the band of brothers and sisters, the culture the world he created
He's also saying "where are all the tits?!"
I was 7 years old boy when I saw TNG for the first time. I live in Poland and I never heard about Star Trek before. I remember that day, it was somewhere in 1990 right after 3 pm. I was sitting bored on couch and changing tv channels when accidentally switched to SAT 1. It was a German TV channel and they`ve always running TNG from Mondays to Fridays on 3 pm. I remember that it was a moment when Enterprise flew through the screen and Sir Partick was speaking his monologue. I was shocked. My mind was blown away how beautiful and majestic that ship was. You could sense how big, powerful and technologically advanced it was. Then it engaged into Warp and I heard TNG theme for the first time. Those five seconds made me fell in love in this franchise. Over 30 years later and I still love Star Trek, it has been with me every day of my life. I wanted to be smart as Picard, handsome as Riker, brawe as Worf and have a beatuful girlfriend like Deanna. TNG shaped my life. Back than I didn`t know about TOS and when I saw Kirk and his crew for the first time im TMP I was dissapointed. They looked silly, their technology was old, ships were obsolete and primitive, they couldn`t compete with Enterprise D and TNG crew. With time I started to enjoy other ST shows but TNG will be always a "true" Star Trek for me.
WOW! This Clip is what Star Trek is all about and why I love it for so many years! The possibilities for mankind are endless when we stop fighting each other and start working together to built a better future!
This video shows nearly every reasons why I love Star Trek - and science. I am looking for new questions too. I think Star Trek is one of the most important reasons why I found myself in working in science.
I'm honored to be part of this crew, not Just any crew... A trekkie crew 🖖🏻live long and prosper
The discovery only appears at the end, but whenever it does, I'm like: "Aww what a beautiful starship"
Damn, looks cinematic as hell. Even the shows that unfortunately aren't available in HD (yet).
tng and tos are
WOW! This is absolutely amazing! :) I can imagine the work that you put into this, and it's definitely the greatest tribute to the franchise I ever seen! :) You touched on all and every aspects of Star Trek, even touching the future with Discovery! Well done, great job my friend and may this video live long and prosper! :) _\\//
I believe there is no such a word to describe how awesome, moving and inspiring this video is. This should have been played during the 50th ann Las Vegas convention. Amazing video. Totally crying.
Even more than the video, the comments on this page are what truly give me hope that humanity has a future worth living in, and that some of us are living that future already. ❤ 🖖
This video just sums up star trek I got a lump in my throat when I watched it llap fellow trekies remember we are all explorer's driven to know what's over the horizon what's beyond our own shores 🖖
I seen Star Trek since it first air and love it. The message it give humanity is we can achieve anything as long as we can put our differences aside and work to better humanity.
If star trek ever gave me anything, it's the will to better myself and be useful to humanity as much as I can.
And you know what, I think that's a pretty good message.
If anyone ever wanted to know what Star Trek is about, just show them this video. Exceptional work.
I watch this and am at once so happy; and yet so sad for the world. Here is the truth of what Humanity could be. I only wish we could mirror this ideal as a species. Thank you.
This is still as fantastic as I first watched it over a year ago
There is one borg who has disliked this piece of art
And now theres another. Its so sad to see humanity being assimilated. One person at a time
Dragon Warhammer Probably CBS
That’s not the Borg. That’s those Star Wars fans, that is! 😂😂
@@Thermool cbs means collective Borg systems3
And it's definitely not Hugh
I have watched this over and over for such a long time and I just want more.
Thank you for this. It reminds me of why I decided to be an Aerospace Engineer
This Tribute is the soul of Star Trek.
We need to remember to be these people.
This is the 30th Anniversary of TNG. I watched my entire Blu-ray set in honor of it. I am definitely a Trekkie. That was a wonderful use of that Picard speech to Shinzon in Nemesis.
oh god ! that s amazing ! that cut almost make me cry
I wish I could thumbs up this more than once. This is the reason I love Star Trek above all other sci-fi. And Star Trek shaped my childhood, contributing to the man I am now. Thank you for creating this.
I might be drunk and looking up to the stars while listening to this . But this is everything I have ever wanted. Damn…
If anyone ever asked me to summarise Star Trek in 5 minutes or less, I would shut my damn mouth, smile... and play them this video. Bravo.🖖🏻
I started doing this thanks to this video 🖖🏻
so beutiful, i didnt reaise that its not a "X million views" video but actually made by someone with 130 subs...im gonna subscribe to you...this is a masterpiece
This is beautiful and inspiring and all the reasons why I love Star Trek.
What an outstanding tribute!
There are hundrets of these around, and all are beutifull.
Yet some are just even better, this is an example. Its what makes Star Trek what it is, and why everyone loves it.
This is INCREDIBLE. You made something that highlights everything that makes Star Trek special for me. Thank you. Seriously. So damned good!!
This made me cry... thank you... there's so much of me in star trek.
There are many superb Trek tributes. This one is in the top ten, may be the best. "The stars, our destination."
Honestly.. I've just watched this once again and all I can think of right now is: This is brilliant! So well done!! Actually better than any other ST-Vid. It captures the very core of Star Trek. And it's very emoional.
Perfect. Star Trek means so much for me and this tribute perfectly shows how amazing Star Trek is
this is the perfect briefing for someone who does not grasp star trek
oh my gosh this is my favorite star trek tribute ever. What have you done I'm crying now
I have tears in my eyes!!! A VERY WELL DONE TRIBUTE!!!!
Excellent! Although, I would re-edit that last STD scene for one of the 1701-G taking off instead...
After having watched this video a half-dozen times, I'm shocked it's not missing three decimal places in its # of views
This. Is. Amazing. Possibly the BEST 50 year tribute
Absolutely Beautiful 😢
Simply the best video ever. There's not a time that I don't see it, that it doesn't bring a tear to my eyes.
This is my favorite RUclips video ever.
Oh my gosh, this is wonderful, I almost cried!
This is what Trek is about. 🌟
Just when you thought no one cares about what Trek truly means. . . thank you
Simply the BEST ST Tribute ever made..
This is EPIC. Thank you for making it.
This is absolutely incredible! Thanks so much for the hard work putting it together.
the real star trek!
The producers of Discovery need to see this. Not that it wasn't an ok first season, but it wasn't quite right. This might steer them onto what the fans want. Well done!
@MonkeyZorr Don't like it ? Don't watch it. It's that simple.
@MonkeyZorr And everything you said would be wrong, there is plenty of Discovery that is Star Trek, the only thing that is changed is that they are telling the stories in different ways
BRAVO! Best edit I've seen in a long time! BRAVO!
OK i stand corrected. this is just incredible. huge trekkie fan +hearing all the captains talk is just breathtaking. whether its all with shows or films ~EPIC
Wow. Love this tribute. Great music choice and editing. Excellent work.
Really nice, thanks for putting in all the franchises equally!
A year after being uploaded and Just stumbled onto this. This is a fantastic tribute to what made Star Trek great and why many of us fell in love with. 😭😿.
Great job on this video.
This was amazing. It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Awesome video! Deserves way more views. Love the editing and music. Captures the essence of Star Trek perfectly!
This is Star Trek! A perfect tribute...
Thank you for a beautiful and brilliant tribute to all of Star Trek, and that genius move of having the captain's log play over the shot of the USS Discovery to pass the torch. BRAVO!
This is one of the most touching tributes I've ever seen. Thank you, you did an outstanding job.
I have never seen this tribute before today. As a fan of Star Trek for over 30 years I am floored by this video. Getting to visit with all our friends on the Enterprise, DS9 and Voyager just underlines how long ago all this great Star Trek aired and just how far we have to go right now. For some reason our world has been turning backward for several years now - undoing so much of the progress that would give us a glimpse of the utopian future of Star Trek. Thanks for letting us hang out with our dear friends again in this little clip.
Amazing. You've done the series an honor.
what individual lacking in brain cells, emotional capability, in humanity itself disliked this
this is one of the best things I have ever seen
the quality of this video is so good that it honestly wouldn't be out of place in an introduction to humanity for potential alien races in a sort of NASA's Golden Record kind of way
voloaquila it would make us look better than we really are
this is also true
I love this. Beautiful tribut to my favorite Show.
This is incredible....am I the only person that is at anytime always watching Star Trek? Like on Netflix I start with TNG then go to DS9 then VOY and end with ENT and then back to TNG over and over again and honestly it never gets old or repetitive Star Trek represents what I hope our future will be I also can’t wait to see what this new Picard show will be
This is staggeringly beautiful.
And I believe it truly captures the heart and soul of that which is Star Trek.
Thank you for sharing this with us old and new fans alike.
Let's Go! 🤣🤣
One of the best tribute videos I have seen.
BEAUTIFUL. I've no words to describe it. It makes me cry. Such a wonderful video
I miss Star Trek, I think we could all use it right now. Something to strive for. But perhaps that is why GR made the series ... to comfort us in times of darkness, and to instill us what we need to push through that darkness to what surely lies ahead of us ... a future worth living for. Good luck everyone!
As Doctor Phlox once said OPTIMISM!
This is exactly what I feel Star Trek is for me. Amazing editing! Soooo emotional. Thank you for sharing. Live long by staying at home!
Amazing compilation of the greatest shows ever made.
Great tribute. We need a new one for 2024!!
i'm 25 and i'm still a big star trek fan this is so awsome stuff all movies still amazing!!
Fantastic! What an amazing franchise!!!!!
