I think both are really good. Toru Okawa it's doing a great job at making him sound lost and calmed down as Weather usually is. But Yuichiro Umehara really captures the mysteriousness and coolness of the character, as well as having some amazing screams when he yells, that do a great job at showing the agressive side of Weather.

I don't understand that, Part 6 has a lot of fucked up murder, specially the ones perpetrated by Anasui, a Stand that casually harvests organs, and Weather gets to drown a guy with so much water that he inflates like a balloon, but mild electrocution is where they drew the line? Nevermind that scene follows after the drowning and is another good example of how unhinged his real personality can be. If I recall correctly, he doesn't even kill the girls, just electrocutes them because... he felt like it.
The old one is not bad, but I like the new one much more, as I got used to it because of the anime.

I know people usually like when the VAs are give more emotion and stuff, but for Weather I prefer how the original sounded, specially on the DHA/GHA, it just doesn't feel right to me that he yells "WEZA RIPOTO!" considering that he's supposed to be always whispering or talking low
Edit: just to clarify, I don't hate the new VA at all, I think he sounded great specially in the anime

Yeah agreed,and his heavy weather transformation's "I'm a curse of my own existence" just sounds way better when he's calm
Later in the part he is not as calm as the old voice makes him sound, so for me that's a win for new voice
That logic is fucking stupid, Weather screams often in a fight from Lang Rangler to Ungalo's fairytale book.

I prefer the old one simply because it fits weather’s actual age better, the new one is cool but it tends to sound too angsty, Weather is a 40-year old man, so I think the new one tends to sound out of place

I’m guessing before Parts 4, 5 and 6 anime voices were added, Araki hired random people whose voices suit better for the characters in ASB and EoH. Now that ASBR has the new voices from the anime, I guess they no longer need the voices and voice actors from EoH
Except they did use them, Okuyasu’s voice actor has always been the same, they used johnnys voice actor for koichi, they used diavolos actor for Kira in the anime, and hopefully they reuse the part 7 va’s for the anime because they did the voices perfectly
There's various reasons why VAs won't always be the same, but btw Araki didn't choose any VA, that's the studio's work, mangakas don't have time to watch over the adaptations of their work, when they do it's usually just to supervise a little when asked to, I feel the reason a lot VAs get changed is because some of the older ones were already established famous actors and I suppose they wanted some new faces around to impulse their careers, at least that gave the characters more unique sounds, for example in the original ASB Polnareff had Sanji's voice, but now you hear Polnareff as his own voice rather than recognizing a famous VA
Araki didn't "hire random people", the guys who made the game got the cast. Hell, nearly every character in jojo, even non-playable characters, got voices in the original ASB. The more likely explanation is that the anime people simply chose a different cast and now the game makers are going with it
Why do people think authors control every possible thing in the entire franchise? Why would Araki the manga artist be the one personally hand picking actors for a licensed video game
