Always thought the original EOH Josuke sounded too old. Great to finally here the anime VA in the game.
I agree I didn't really think the game josuke voice fit much either. The anime one fits the anime better but it's still good to hear him in the game

i think the old va of josuke fits more to the artstyle of the game but the new va fits more to the artstyle of the anime
Don't care what others say, new voice actors are really good. Especially the new Kira voice lines sound more in-character than before

It's cool to have the anime voice actors revoice the characters. I do prefer the older Josuke voice, I really love his delivery, but anime voice still does good work.
Yeah I like the anime voice actor more but I’m not a fan of some of his deliveries. I feel like some of the lines needed a second take.

I'm fine with that, the sound effects are good for the anime, but for a game (specially a fighting game with constant action going on), it would be too ear piercing to constantly hear all those bass boosted punches and stuff
Yukako is such a perfect addition to ASB, I'm so glad they added her and her voice sound really cool too
i prefered the old sheer heart attack voice, not kira, but the bomb itself. it sounded more aggressive

Old josuke does not fit the 16 year old teenager voice but if we get past that it sounds almost perfect, the delivery on that last DORA was phenomenal.
He sounds more like a delinquent that jotaro. It would be cool if he sounded like the old VA in his rage mode and the new VA for his normal mode
The problem with voices aren't only the voices, but how are directed as well.
In this video Yukako voice in ASBR spund good, but then there is Avdol who sounds terrible, or Josuke that doesn't sound natural at all or his Crazy Diamond lacks the "Crazy" part.
I think the worst cases of this will probably show on Giorno (would be a shame if anime VA sounded duller compared to ASB/EoH), Buccellati & Hol Horse (ASB/EoH voices are on another level compared to Anime), and Rohan.

Yeah, characters now sound like they're just bored. I still prefer anime VAs tho, just want direction to be better

@@mega4529 They put out a trailer, something to nab you attention. It’s fair to judge what they consider “the best changes to the game”. I dont hate all the new voices at all but MOST are lacking that feeling of authenticity u feel like ur playing a fan dub game cause the direction is so horrible.

Personally i prefer the older kira because it shows how serious he gets when it comes to protecting his quiet life. But the newer kira does show his composure which is what i like

The argument of Josuke always being angry during battle isn’t true at all, in fact him always being angry actually goes agaisnt his character. Josuke’s character is both charming AND scary, not just scary. He’s never stuck always being angry/scary during stand battles. Theres little to none exceptions to this rule: Josukes hair insult and Kira murdering his best friend.
Sources: Super fly episode, Red Hot Chili Pepper final showdown episode, Enigmia episode when Josuke gets released, the aqua man episode when josukes house becomes misted by the stand, and finally the doll mimic episode.
I absolutely HATE how almost every character is stuck voicing 1 mood/emotion 90% of the time when it should change to fit the situation.
Agreed, people focusing on the anger issues so much did not break down Part 4 in its entirety.

Honestly what it feels like is that the new VA’s coming from the anime had a much stronger understanding of their characters and contexts. The line readings from the original all star battle VA’s are all great, but you can tell there isnt any more energy behind it besides reading the lines.

Bro was there an English setting in the original because the way Kira's va delivered that Sheer Heart Attack line was fricking jarring. The Kiras are kinda weird, I like the new va as far as fitting the character but the old one delivers his lines with so much fervor.

Two different voice actors. In the original, Kira was voiced by the same person who did Part 1 Zeppeli

Yeah, I agree. I love the the old VA’s Kira, especially when he called out Sheer heart attack. It sounds so intense which fits SHA, as it’s like a last resort kind of thing, so it should sound intense and desperate when being called out.

@@williamkwl6153 Its a special attack not a distraction/catching tool like in EOH therefore aggression is better. if ur response is “kira is calm” well he’s currently duking it out with someone so i’d prefer more effort in the voice and kira’s old voice captured his cocky and confidence too. The new one only got his “in control” vibe and lost the rest of it. Again voice actor is 10/10 but direction is bad
I love both but I would say they both fit differently. The old one fits the game itself better while the new one fits the anime better. He was absolutely AMAZING in the anime. A lot of the anime VAs are great, the delivery just wasn't as good in the game this time because of the directing

It amazing to see people still didn't know that it was incredibly weird to have a Different VA for Josuke at the time. It was a common critique to hear that Josuke didn't have his anime voice.
