Just want to say great video. Love the fact when your photographing you post the images straight away you have taken. The low light is amazing on the r6 I am hoping to buy one and step up from my two DSLR’s shortly. Keep posting.
I've been using this camera for less than a month now and I can tell you that the dynamic range is absolutely phenomenal. The photo of them sitting down at dusk with the sky and building in the background is such a great example
One question, does it have crop factor or it maintains focal length of 50mm?
@@kokodaioh its a fullframe camera. it doesnt crop like apsc would. cheers
Nice video! I really like that you show settings and you say your thoughts about what setting should be great in specific situation ;)
Currently saving for Sony a7 II, I was always using Canon but I think it's not gonna be hard to get used to Sony. Or maybe you would have better idea how to spend about 600-650 pounds? Looking for full frame mirrorless :)
Glad you enjoyed the video! it means a lot - sony a7 ii sounds like a good shout man!
@@MikeChudley Thank you! So now I'm sure it'll be the right choice :)
does that cameras take this kinda photos or re they edited after taking
These are edited
@@MikeChudley can u share the presets
Another cracking one. Just found your channel
Are the photos that you show us you took edited or is this the raw photo your showing us
Edited!
Gotcha thanks for the reply
As a street photographer I'm surprised you leave the focus beep on. a bit intrusive.
Hey Mike, thanks for shout out for our Giveaway and Photography Competition🙌
Thanks for asking me to get involved!
Really nice POV mate,
but anyway, what kind of white balance do you use? especially at night
These shots are all on auto WB 👍🏻
@@MikeChudley ahh ic, thanks mate!
I only have the rebel t7 but just purchased this lens! Feeling inspired to try out street photography. Awesome video and amazing photos! ✨📷
Thanks for watching 🙌🏻🙌🏻
bro, your picture are breathtaking... mann... it's insane... amazing... good job!
Thank you so much 😀
Quality POV, Mike 👍; settings intro set up and commentary insightful. 50mm versatile lens. POVs differ - at 4:14 min looked like terrific spot for reflection shot (arch framed glass on your right - you came so close to it but were focused on corridor comp on left). Chinatown sensory overload a challenge, perhaps eased by slower pace. Clear you were using LED “tap to focus”, but were you also using tap to release shutter? Cheers!
Hey Mike, your videos are awesome! What do you think about the 20mp sensor of the R6? Would you take the a7iii over the R6 if you have to choose one of it?
Hey peter, thanks for subscribing! - the 20mp hasn't been a problem for me, I'm not publishing these images onto a billboard haha. I'm filming a a7iii vs R6 video very soon comparing the specs.
@@MikeChudley Thanks for your reply! I see and when you look at the picture quality is the difference very noticable in details compared to the higher mp sensor on the a7iii? Im excited for the video!
If you can, get the R6. Get it. Im upgrading to it from A73, never look back
Loved the photo of the sky on fire and the tables with the umbrellas that had the same colours! Were you filming the pov with that AKASO camera??? The video was jumping up and down!
The tables and sky and was such a nice scene! I used a GoPro 7 for this one ✌🏻 I’ll be using the Akaso camera for a POV soon!
Yesss! Another POV, loving these :)
Sweeet, got a vlog coming out next week and I answer your question from Instagram!
Great video, may need to look in to getting a 50mm 🤔 and I love that London is alive again!!!
Go for it! - London is popping, it's great.
Canon r6 😍 my dream camera... Im currently having the eos 3000d, my first camera 🤭
The R6 really is amazing! The 3000d would be great with a 50mm though!!
@@MikeChudley yeah.. would like to get one !
I love this! I'm going to buy a 50mm f1.8 for my Canon, and this helps me so much to see what I'm investing in! Thank you!!
dang mike getting sponsors nicee. Really do want a better camera to make POV street videos like yours, will definitely check akaso out
also love the street photos🔥
Thanks brooo! we moving up a little haha - all serious though, thanks for the support
What do you do with the photos you take during these pov's
I don’t know… it’s not that I don’t like those photos but compared to Fuji or Leica I find Canon uninspiring at least for lowlight and street photography, no hate or trolling I swear but that’s how I feel.
Yeah that’s totally cool man! Thanks for sharing your opinion and watching the video ✌🏻📸
Absolutely amazing POV video. Very inspiring! It was great seeing your process, and how you thought through different shots. Even the one where you said you missed the focus, I still loved how the background was clear with the lanterns and the young lady was out of focus in the front. I noticed that you captured everything on single-shot for the most part. Why did you use single-shot instead of servo?
Are you still using back-button focus?
I saw on your display that the images were usually quite under-exposed (based on your meter readout). Was that to protect the highlights, knowing that you can bring up the shadows a bit in post? Man, I'm more and more impressed with the R6's ability to handle low-light!
Thanks for a quality video!
Ahh thank you for the kind words. I also liked the "missed focused" image haha - my min was changed when I started editing it.
I change from single shot to servo from time to time. All depends on the situation.
I don't use back-button focus nope.
100% correct on the under-exposed comment. I love clean highlights - anything to bright is ruined (IMO). Dark, moody shadows is a style I like to run with anyway.
Thanks again, appreciate the comment.
@@MikeChudley I know you were using the touch-screen to focus for the sake of the POV, so we can see what you're doing. But when you're not doing a POV, do you use the LCD screen much, or only the EVF? If the LCD, do you use the touch-to-focus function while taking photos?
When's your street photography course going live?
M50 - r6 - eos r, so which one and why. rank them from 1 to 3 🙆🏻♀️
r6 is the best, r 2nd and m50 3rd. all because of specs.
love the work but the beep...
Subscribed! Love the POV vids! Bought myself the eos RP and rf 50mm. Two questions please, why do you use the AF tracking method instead of 1 point or zone for buildings? And do you use the dof preview button? Thanks!
Thank you! Glad you like these videos - i change up the auto focus method a few times depending on the situations but for this session I just kept on the AF tracking because I find it quite easy.
@@MikeChudley You inspire me to go out and shoot! Thanks for taking the time to reply! Good to know about the AF tracking. Do you ever use the Depth of field preview button to see what aperture is best on that situation? Thanks!
Instagang✌ can't wait for this vid!
Legend!
I really love this Video
Thanks Daniel!!
Hi everyone
Does anyone experience to narrow the aperture in ef 50mm f1.8 stm lens has a aperture blade sound while in electronic shutter mode
While in canon mirrrorless camera
👍👍👍👍
✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Focus beep cringe ughhhh… wonderful shots tho
you can turn it off I guess
Say Hai From Indonesia Guys 🇲🇨🇲🇨
Great as usual Mike. I love the 50mm :)
Thanks! 👍
Nice work
Thank you!
I have this lenses but only have a 600d need a better camera
Great video, great shots! Love it. What light metering mode would you suggest for this type of low-light photography? I’m using a Canon RP 🤗
Great video, is the ef 50mm sharp in video paired with the R6 and is the auto focus still good ? Thanks
Is there a way that I can make my photos b/w except for say red?
Yep! Desaturated all the colours using HSL in Lightroom except for red 👍🏻
@@MikeChudley thanks
Awesome video! One question, can this lens be used on Canom EOS M10?
Y’all wanna see my setup 📸 I’m from the valley mate 🙏🏾
Thanks so much.
Thanks for watching!
nice
Thanks
Thank you V much for making this!
is your gopro mounted on your shoulder or chest?
Quality POV! Videos like these should give us all the courage to take photos of people more.
Thanks for the kind words man!
Those were some really nice shots

Nice job 👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing 👍

Thank you so much 😀
How are you taking pictures with the 50mm without any blur in your photos?
