CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Tommy (Colin Farrell) plays "The Weary Kind" to an excited crowd while Blake (Jeff Bridges) watches from backstage.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A worn-down country singer and a burgeoning journalist form an unusual bond in this drama adapted from the novel by Thomas Cobb. His spirit broken by multiple failed marriages, too much time on the road, and too many nights with the bottle, Bad Blake (Jeff Bridges) had started to feel like he was headed down the path of no return. When probing young writer Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal) digs deep enough to unearth the broken man behind the legend, however, Bad realizes that redemption may not be such a long shot after all. Robert Duvall and Colin Farrell co-star.

Man I really do wish Colin Farrell had recorded a full version of "Weary Kind," the softness of his voice nicely complements the gravely nature of Ryan Bingham's (both are excellent in different ways).

I’m constantly amazed at Colin Farrell’s vast talent with every movie of his I see. When I saw Crazy Heart in the theater I assumed he lip-synced someone else, only to find out that he learned the song on the guitar and sang it on the soundtrack. Amazing!

@@UserX860 you kidding? How many films have you seen? Tigerland, In Bruges (Best Actor), Ondine IFFT (Best Actor), Triage, The North Water, The Batman. Go look at his comic roles in Daredevil and Horrible Bosses. Just for starters. Directors love him bcuz he’s a chameleon!

He never will, he has to sing american and after awhile its extremely hard for him to keep the irish accent under raps.but personally wouldlove to hear him sing w the accent. Guess that wouldnt work with country though ,would it? Lol

O man I wish somebody could’ve persuaded him to put this on the soundtrack. He refused to even let his name appear as featured. His name is way down list of end credits. “ Why not let everyone hear you sing on the soundtrack?” “Because it’s Jeff’s movie. I didn’t need to be any distraction.”

Ryan Binghams version is great but Farrels has that softness to his voice which gives the song a different feel
