Jimi Hendrix's playing and all his stylings must have been otherworldly to listeners of the 60's. As a child of the 80's it seemed like the standard by my time. It's easy to take for granted in the ages since but also as easy to listen and think "wow, this is WILD" particularly in the context of music at the time.

Life pre internet involved dep commitment to ones chosen interests, cars, guitars and everything in between. Love your work Richie, a true exciting live player, superb timing and feel. The majority of the songs on Invincible Shield are extremely fast! Faster than any Priest song ever written!!! The solo on "Halls of Valhalla" right after Rob's incredible raise in pitch register is absolutely insane!!! I've played electric/classical guitar for 40 yrs and I can't figure out what Richie's doing - what scales he's using, etc. He's all over the place!!!
