My favourite is Bunny from UK sitcom Drifters, which the vast majority of people haven't heard of. Although it's hilarious, it never had good viewing figures.

I Love Lucy as a whole was way beyond it's time. It was a female lead sitcom that had the first interracial kiss on TV, way before Star Trek.
