That "polly" site says I can put yellow and red rose directly next to each other spaced with other ones and its suppose to create orange A, it flat out lied to me....because days later nothing was grown, same with white and white which supposedly is gonna give me purple which never happened........granted Im a big time newb to the game in fact to the franchise but so far I thought I was doing okay until this. I can't seem to crossbreed in the game at all. Good thing to note that I time traveled, and I am literally trapping my self in the past, which may or may not screw up stuff like this....I am literally going day by day in the past. Got the game 3 weeks ago or so, started in Winter, wet back into Spring of last year and never went back to the future. So, unlocking and finding all kind of epic stuff. I wouldn't think "TT" would screw up how this feature in the game works or not...........I did the 4:24 methed and nothing came of it. They literally just stayed there and nothing spawned from them........I am past the May Day event now as we speak. I am in the first week of May still.

so it's like this : a flower first roll for a chance to reproduce ,if roll success, it will look for an empty spot nearby, found one, then look for an available partner, if found one, they make an offspring, in case of green mum, it will definitely be a green; if the flower didn’t find an available partner, it will clone one from itself. so which means, if you have 2 greens, you have double the chance of only one green, no matter you put them together or part them and let them clone themselves.

Something like that happened to me where I planted only yellow mums and two red mums grew the next day. I moved the reds and the next day the reds made a purple mum. True, however I don't think I said either was better than the other. I think it comes down to space constraint, as with the Pairs you would effectively need a space around the whole block of flowers making it 4 tiles wide, whereas the gaps at the corners in the intertwined Diamonds means you can have a smaller plot that's 3 tiles wide. You bring up a good point though!

You can clone flowers by putting them by themselves and watering them. You can put them with other flowers, but they *CAN’T* be within breeding range of another flower of the same type for it to work- ie. if you put a pink cosmo with a bunch of black lillies you’ll be fine, but if you put one with a white cosmo it’ll attempt to breed instead of clone.

Lucgrimm7200 to answer your question, yes, as long as you know the roses you want to clone are for sure the ones that came from seeds, you can isolate them and they will clone. But you will need red and yellow roses at some point if you’re trying for blue.

GNIHTYUGNOSREP thank you so much for the help. That makes this process easier since I don’t time travel. Lol. Thank God I can clone the white seeds and still have it’s original DNA. I know exactly where my original white roses (from the seed) are at. They have a special area. Lol. Happy wife...Happy life. This is the only game she plays.

I was hoping you'd explain how these are the best layouts, instead of just being told that these are the best layouts.
