I just had some Lychees from Payoa Thailand bigger seed but good the ones you had are called Jakapat they will be in season in another week or two. The lychee season just started this past week here in Thailand in Florida it's usually in June. I listen to a Garden show in South Florida and he said it wasn't a good year for lychees because it was not cold enough but maybe around where you are in Tampa Bay your getting them from that area thanks for the good video.
that's great Thomas! The lychees are actually from South Florida in this video. West Palm Beach I believe. Most trees in Tampa Bay didn't flower due to the lack of cold snaps most likely. Thanks for your kind words!
from what I've read it's unlikely they'd tolerate that low of a temperature for very long. Maybe a few hours, there would likely be damage on the tree though. You can always try and keep your tree warm during times when it's going to be that cold.

Is there any varieties that tolerate 25°F or about (-5°C) ???
