@@JTelli786thinking machines being outlawed is also the reason why the drug spice is so important in the universe. Without a thinking machine it's pretty much impossible to chart interstellar faster than light travel. You can get around this by giving your starship pilots a drug that allows precognition and seeing more into the future the more drug you take.
they could have made clean windows for earth variant
This thing is super fun
"i expected something a bit more futuristic" (rephrased) my man, the whole point of dune is that computers were banned due to an ai uprising houndreds of years into our future
This thing is too much fun
I'd love if you could fly the Ingenuity Mars lander aircraft in MS Flight Simulator. That would be interesitng!
I never quite figured out exactly how they made those wings flap like that. They must have been made out of materials that don't exist in OUR universe. They're meant to look like dragonflies.
Given it’s 20,000 years in the future, where they have force-fields, anti-gravity, and interstellar travel, I think it’s reasonable to expect some advances in physics and material science.
*Zoom in on a fruit fly muscles or the dragon fly muscles to see how the wings flap without wear and tear, and then just get ultralight wings*
It's great fun plus It's totally free in MSFS Market place
I'd like to start playing Flight Simulator. How good does your pc need to be for it to look like in this video? Otherwise, if you run, say on a laptop, is it playable? Does it look good? Thanks!
thats so cool
The wings do not create lift? Maybe think about that statement again.
It has glide mode too
Downloading it rn
I could see this replacing the Osprey V-22. If dragonflies can do it so can we.
Is there a button map for the Nose dive?
Directional pad up, and then directional pad down to get out of it, I think (or the other way around).
Also, directional pad left is glider mode, right is gear. X is the boost and Y is the wing brake. A throttle up and B throttle down.
Seems like a great vehicle to review terrain details etc but not great for much else. With the massively enhanced graphics MSFS offers though it's still a very valid use case
Waiting for the addition USS Enterprise NCC-1701
omg thats amazing
Great stuff.
4:04 - I can see my house!
Faaaather! The Sleeper has awakened!
Now i want a Dune Ace Combat game...
I foresee bunch of these flying around as commercial flights are trying to operate 😂
Bro… it’s a fucking dragon fly you can fly! Sick
11:34 you said it has no radio but when I played I'm pretty sure it had buttons to change radio frequency?
'Expecting more out of the cockpit for a futuristic aircraft'
You sir have clearly not seen the movie, watch that first
Miniseries of early 00s had those.
The books makes it clear too, there are no real "computers" as we know them as the major religion outlaws them. There is a fair bit of handwaving on how they can make some of the more complex equipment even work without computers, but it is still sci-fi fiction so that is OK (not everything needs to be explained).
@@Swarm509 Computers are replaced by humans with special mental powers. In the French translation of the books they are called mentas. Don't know the name in English.
You mean the guild navigators?@@CapitaineNautilus
@@BizmutFortin I checked. The English name is "Mentat". Thufir Hawat is one of them, working for the Atreides.
im still waiting for native shared cockpit
what button is used to fire the AB?
Nice video
Wait with some modifications this can be airwolf
Does anyone know what altitude this will hit? It seems like it would be good for chasing airliners...
Fast enough but can't fly well above 31,000ft
@@cmterocco3442 31k works, there's only a couple mountains in the world I'll hit at 31k. An autopilot would be nice...
Somebody also has the bug, that the afterburner fireanimation just went missing? I had it for a couple of days, then someday it was just gone. It still glows slightly to indiciate the afterburner, but the real flame is gone.
Somebody knows this and how to fix it?
Do these missions count for decathlon achievement ?
