Been to Puerto Rico, Guam and Northern Marianas. Got a trip to American Samoa planned for next month! Looking forward to USVI next year I hope. The territories are awesome and have a lot to offer, esp. awesome beaches and friendly people and a feeling of being both far away and close to home
I've been watching since the very start and have always wondered if you would do a video on territories now my wish has come true hello from the U.S V.I 🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮
I'm from Guam, the info you gave is spot on! The only thing that we would have controversy with would be Micronesians. Our lineage is a bit different from the rest of Micronesia. As native descendants, we call ourselves Chamorro. This came about after the Spanish colonized the island. The word Chamorro is what the Spanish called our male ancestors with mostly shaven heads and a pony tail. So we don't really know what our ancestors called themselves prior colonization.
But we are still Micronesians though. In Saipan and the rest of the NMI we Chamorros id as micros not bcoz of any political boundaries but bcoz we are Pacific Islanders from the region known as Micronesia. Just bcoz our lineage is different from our other neighbors doesn’t mean we should not be considered Micronesians
@@jasonsan6708 not sure where you miss read, but I never mentioned we are not Micronesian. I just mentioned that there is a significant difference between the people of the Mariånas and the rest of Micronesia, and that this particular matter is always in question. In the end it’s just your opinion.
Actually Johnston Atoll is an unincorporated unorganized territory. The only incorporated unorganized territory is Palmyra Atoll. the incorporated part means the full constitution applies and the government can't sell the territory.
Love from 🇬🇺 Guam! Also, you didn’t mention that we all also speak English. Our main language is English but everyone just knows some Chamorro and uses it time to time. Also a weird thing we do is say, “Leche” we use as like saying, “what?!” But it means Milk.
I'm from Guam, and whoa -- you pronounced Hagåtña correctly! I like the older name of our capital (Agaña) a lot more, but it is what it is. By the way, in regard to Saipan in the Northern Marianas, if you want to sound like a local, you can pronounce it "Sa-ee-pan" (the last syllable sounds like frying "pan," not "pun"). This content is a lot more accurate than many I've seen about the territories. Great video!
Thank you so much for talking about native Americans, and getting great images too. Most would just get the Long Plains Head dress but you got us in Pow-Wow regalia. In the USA episode it would be cool if you could do a segment of native speakers or just a segment alone to natives in general since we are true Americans
I used to live on Guam at the Naval Air Station (even though my dad was Air Force), back when Typhoon Pamela hit in the '70's. The climate was awesome all year round. Fun fact, there is another island named Maug relatively close by. I have some great childhood memories from living there and would love to visit again.
I'm from Orlando, AKA Puerto Rico north. Seriously they've taken over this city, its just as common to hear people speaking Spanish on the street and in the stores as English. ...and just to our south we have Cuba north (Miami).
I always feel Large when I'm around non-samoans. But when I'm around fellow Samoans I'm below average size, it's great. Looking forward to the samoan episode!
That would have to come after all the countries are done as Puerto Rico is not an independent nation though it would be cool for them to do territories more in depth the issue is then you're going to have people from other states begging to have it done for their state as well
Also in Arizona the Hopi reservation is inside the Navajo reservation. The Navajo reservation observes Daylight Savings Time, but the State of Arizona and the Hopi Reservation do not.

And who’s knows depending on how much I like or love the Americans I could be the like pilgrim fathers and emigrate to America. Where do you think I should go to go first and why? With lots of love from the UK 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
I think you should definitely go to Chicago, Illinois (where I live) It is a beautiful city with a lot of American history and museums to visit to, plus the Chicago deep dish pizza is something you need to try and the restaurant portillos is so good (it like the in-out of Illinois, but better). Plus I think going to New York is another good option. The state I least recommend is Califorina, trust me the traffic in LA is huge and homelessness is everywhere and to many crazy people. I mean we have crazy people in Chicago, but it not same as LA. If you want to visit the country side of America instead of the cities, than try going to Springfield, Illinois where Abraham Lincoln is buried and it also the state capital, there you get to learn about American politics when visiting those museums. The best one you should go to is the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, there you definitely get a taste of American culture and southern culture.

@@laylowxalex the reality is PR is the wealthiest Latin American “country”. If they became independent their economy and living standard would collapse. Remember the US spend a lot of investment to make PR better and wealth is tied to many US businesses in PR. Remember unlike their neighbors PR does not have any real natural resources or geographic advantage. Even worse PR government is both corrupt and incompetent.
The fact becoming independent would be the worst they could do. By becoming a state PR would have the reverse happen and a huge amount of investments would be made to improve their lives.

I approve what he said about Puerto Rico 😂🇵🇷
I hope that after GN finishes Zimbabwe, there will be episodes on territories like Puerto Rico! Love you guys!
Been to Puerto Rico, Guam and Northern Marianas. Got a trip to American Samoa planned for next month! Looking forward to USVI next year I hope. The territories are awesome and have a lot to offer, esp. awesome beaches and friendly people and a feeling of being both far away and close to home
Small thing left out: USVI are the only part of the US that drives on the left side of the road. All of the cars are right hand drive!

Love from 🇬🇺 Guam! Also, you didn’t mention that we all also speak English. Our main language is English but everyone just knows some Chamorro and uses it time to time. Also a weird thing we do is say, “Leche” we use as like saying, “what?!” But it means Milk.
Sois la leche tíos 👍🏽
The USA episode will be an hour long.
Only because it's his country and Americans will moan like hell if it's not really really long
@@Iamtheliquor ... nah, I'm American and we just do not have more to cover than Russia did. Twenty-five to thirty minutes is more than plenty. "Friend Zone" is pretty long, but so was Russia. As a British person I certainly have a lot of admiration for our cousins “across the pond” I have wanted to go to the USA probably since when I first of them.
@Stephen Puls Try Boston. And just as a tid bit of history, the Commonwealth War Graves commission (UK) maintains a portion of a cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama, the only one located in the USA
