I live around Detroit, and I love it. The Urban decay is actually pretty cool, to look at. Its sort of post apocalyptic, centered around a pretty cool downtown, reminds me of fallout. And with the steady swarm of hipsters moving here, there's a lot more art, good food, and craft beer here. Good area for music and comedy too!

Jacksonville is Florida's "largest city", yet only its 4th largest metropolitan area. In only its small developed section, Miami-Dade County alone has nearly twice the population of Jacksonville's entire metro. Jacksonville is among a handful of US cities that get its status solely from swallowing up hundreds and hundreds of square miles of land. Miami proper, on the other hand, is sitting on less than 36 square miles of land.

    Some facts about Boise, ID
    1. It's BOY-see, not boy-ZEE (don't worry, no one pronounces it right outside of Idaho)
    2. It's the fastest growing city in the country
    3. It's centered around the Boise River, one of the cleanest rivers in an urban environment in the country
    4. We have the largest Basque population in the United States (there's an entire Basque section of downtown Boise)
    5. We're really nice people and many people visiting the city remark on how strange it is that everyone says hi to one another on the street even though there are 500,000 people in the Treasure Valley
    6. No, we're not in Witness Protection (at least to my knowledge)
    7. If I had to compared us to other cities it'd be a mix of Portland, SLC and Denver. We have a thriving (though small) progressive area of the city (the NorthEnd), are heavily influenced by the Mormon religion like SLC, and are an outdoorsman's dream like Denver (seriously, nowhere can compete with our combination of hiking, fishing, camping, rivers, foothills, forests, etc.)
You should visit. Just keep it to yourself that you're from California. We're obnoxiously anti-California because many from the state are moving here and causing the cost of living to go up even though our wages aren't changing. Also, we're crazy conservatives (Boise is more moderate), so Cali politics are insane to most in the state.
Just stay away from Canyon County.

three things to note about connecticut:
    1) it has one of the largest income inqualities in the US. this means some of the richest postcodes in the country are right next to some of the poorest.
    2) towns close to new york and along the coastline *tend* to be nicer (so southern CT) (bit of a generalization but y’know)
    3) towns also tend to be nicer/wealthier than cities. so bridgeport is quite poor and depressing but it’s right next to the towns of fairfield county, which are very beautiful and wealthy.

Even if the name change is widely adopted, the e- of eSwatini is kinda equivalent to the "The" in "The Gambia" so you could certainly still argue for alphabetising under "Sw".
This is kinda also true of Lesotho, Burundi but the capitalisation scheme in siSwati emphasises the root as the primary thing (unlike that in Sesotho and Kirundi) so the alphabetising eSwatini under "Sw" is not that inconsistent with capitalising Lesotho under "Le" (rather than "So") or Burundi under "Bu" (rather than "Ru").

You've never been to Connecticut? I'm offended...
Honestly this state is kind of boring, but I like it. Bridgeport essentially is some big industrial city with a lot of poverty, so when most people think of Connecticut they are thinking of Stamford, Hartford, or New Haven. Other than that, we are a surprisingly flat state since we miss out on the Appalachians, we are also cut off from a lot of the Atlantic Ocean directly because of Long Island so our beaches have very little waves with a disruption of our view. It can make the beaches kind of disappointing. Most of the state is pretty suburban though, you're right about that. With that being said, there are quite a lot of abandoned and creepy buildings around here which you can find if you search hard enough. I've found quite a lot with my friends and they make for fun adventures. We're pretty small and right by New York, leading many people to completely forget about the state. I've had to remind people where Connecticut is on a map more than once. Overall there isn't much to note about the state other than some good sailing and some good seafood, but it's quite a nice state with a lot of pretty forests and parks.

I'm from Jackson, MS and this is the first time that i've ever seen a youtube video that pointed out some of the good of the city. basically everyone hates our state and our capital but hey, we don't care because it's absolutely beautiful here year round. We have amazing museums, great entertainment. great food, and we definitely have culture. Over the last few years the city has gotten a lot safer and the crime rate has actually started to fall for the first time in many many years. Not to mention the downtown revival that started in the late 2000's that has made downtown Jackson into a lively area where people come together all the time.

Aleksa Djordjevic The city limits for Miami are crazy small and really need to extended while for Jacksonville the city limits take up so much land that they really shouldn’t. In practice Miami is far larger.

I live in New London County, Connecticut. A brief description of Bridgeport and our state in general is that certain parts of the state are very clean and rich and preppy, other parts are farm country, and other parts are industrial wastelands. Cities are generally very poor and underdeveloped and not maintained, while suburbs are kept well. Schools in public cities are failing while suburb schools are thriving. Any questions? AMA.

As someone from Tucson, I can say even though I've never been to Phoenix, based off this, Tucson and Phoenix are very similar. Here in Tucson there are mountains surrounding the whole city, and you can see them at every corner. We also have lots of cactuses and we regularly drive through highways that wind up mountains and through valleys.
