Boone's self sacrifice for Shannon is incredible. He was always there for her, helped her when she needed him. saved her from abusive relationships which turned out to be scams, got used and he always forgives her, and always stays there for her. No matter how much she hurts him.. even in death he still is there for her.. I loved Boone and i still say it was a HUGE mistake to let him die so early.
It wasn't a mistake, Ian was the first actor in Lost to complain of not having enough screen time. Hence the death of Boone so early in the series. Both Ian and the writers agreed to kill him off so that Ian can pursue more opportunities in other films/series. And hey it worked, look at him in The Vampire Diaries. Ian is an absolute amazing actor.
@@g2nelson15 did he though? He'd admitted to being devastated when he found out he was killed off. He seemed genuinely gutted and for a long time after seemed to revisit it in his reflections - like how he maybe could have done Boone differently to keep him alive, as if he hadn't quite let that go, lol - but, yeah, seemed to work out okay.
No one was ever harder on Sayid than Sayid. He never forgive himself. Hurley, in one moment of grace, gave him an opportunity for Sayid to see who Sayid really is. In any lifetime, flashback, forward, or sideways Sayid Jarrah is not going to standby and watch an innocent get hurt.
Yes Nadia was who we felt was his true love BUT this was about the time on the island and sayid never felt good enough for nadia being her torturer but Shannon (being a fellow fractured soul) redeamed sayid
Yeah. And I’d say it’s not just because they met on the island. Regardless of where they met it is all those other factors why they remembered one another and moved on together. The island gave them the blank slate they needed, and with it it allowed them to become the best versions of themselves they could be, together.
To be honest that was one of the many things that disliked from the finale, I mean... maybe Shannon was Sayid true love, but what about Aaron for instance? he had a whole life after the island so why did he had to leave that gate at the end as a baby? it doesn´t make sense at all, no wonder why Lost is considered to have the worst ending along with HIMYM and Game of Thrones
beautiful moment for shannon and sayid, beautiful moment. Sweet w/ Hurley saying 'give em a minute'...too tortured souls finding each other again..one of the many magic moments in the finale...whoever wasn't touched by the finale..aint human
@sdisco02: Boone remembered AS he was getting his ass kicked outside the bar -- recall season 1, when he tries to defend Shannon from her boyfriend in Australia. Hurley probably told him to bring Shannon to LA and lose the fight ("thanks for taking your sweet time," etc.), in order to bring back his memories.
To answer everyones question. I think Boone had a flash of conscious when he shook Locke’s hand but just like Libby and Charlie he wasn’t fully awakened. The only two people that were fully awake at the time was Rose and Bernard. I also believe that if it wasn’t for Boone, Libby, and Charlie nowbody would have been awakened. The three of them together with Desmond and Hurley helped to wake everyone else except maybe Sun and Jin and Sawyer and Juliet. Jieon woke Sun and Jin up and Sawyer and Juliet woke each other up. Everyone else on the other hand needed that push in order to remember and to let go. 😀
that's the tipical sayid/shannon song i love it ♥ but i don't think boone would be so happy to see them together or at least that's what all season one and the "Tell Shannon..." part tells me...
@sdisco02 Well the main concept of it all was about the constants finds each other. And Boone didn't have a constant. So I think that's why they didn't air his flashes. But it is hinted that Hurley and Desmond were the ones who enlightened him. Maybe it'll be on the DVD.
@sdisco02 Isn't it because he died ? I'm not sure but from what I understand, the parallel universe is the place where all the losties go after their death. So if Boone is dead, he's there and he remembers his previous life because it is already over, he doesn't need to be remembered. (Sorry if my english is bad, I'm french)
@PerhapsPossibly Or some of my friends and I have a theory that Boone knew on the plane when he was talking to Locke. It's probably not right, but its an interesting idea.
I think he had a flash of conscious when he shook Locke’s hand but just like Libby and Charlie he wasn’t fully awakened. The only two people that were fully awake at the time was Rose and Bernard.
No we are not going to explain this scene. Even if we wanted to spoil this show to you we can't we don't know how to. But then again a year has passed so you probably already watched the entire show from start to finish right?
ok maybe i missed something, but how did Boone become in "enlightened" about his past life on the island? because it seems like in this scene he knows whats going on and i don't remember a scene when he had his flashes to his life on the island. did it happen off camera or did i miss it? please someone explain?!!??!
Yes this is the afterlife. It’s a place they created together so that they can find each other remember their past lives on the Island and move on together.
It's a temporary waiting period for the afterlife, which is basically the literal definition of purgatory. But the showrunners can't call it that because they promised the fans for six seasons that they weren't going to be in purgatory. Lot of broken promises with the show
stupid question cause i only wtached the first season cause boone was still in it ...... but now is he alive? im confused can someone please explain :)
Somehow I doubt Sayid would have wanted to spend the afterlife with Shannon over Nadia. Nadia was the love of his life, Shannon was someone he dated for about 15-20 days on the island.
Time spent together also doesn’t matter. Hurley knew Libby for around the same time, if not even shorter and they too also were soul mates in the end. It’s less about time spent together and more about the quality of time spent and how deeply enriched and bettered each person’s life was for it.
I don't get this scene at all. Can someone please explain?! Sayid and Shannon weren't even really dating when Boone was alive and Boone would NOT has been okay with it. EXPLAIN??
Sayid was able to move on in life and the after life with Shannon. He was looking for an illusion with Nadia. Someone he thought he needed to make amends to. Not who he was really in love with. His love for Shannon allowed him to begin to forgive Anna Lucia for killing Shannon. Nadia’s death he went avenging. Nadia was like an old love that was never meant to be. Shannon was his forever mate.

You've completely missed the point of Sayid's sideways flash message. He didn't deserve Nadia. He's better matched with someone with flaws/a darkside like him, (Shannon)
@@YodatheHobbit oh come on it has nothing to do with his dark side. In fact the whole point of the scene here is Hurley explaining that he is a good guy.
