😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

Actually real studies have been done and not a single electric car can get even 200 miles to a full charge and after about 5 charges their ranges which is already been proven to be seriously blatantly lied about drops by half to as much as 1/8 of what the already small distance is and the cars actually have to have major repairs to full blown giant parts replaced way too quickly for starters the range actually the best one proven was the Tesla model 3 S specialty of a select variation that only about 10 were made and that one could get 187miles while the actual average was only 87 miles to 143 miles. Real investigations have been done to these vehicles do to so many issues and the findings are horrible to where much of the planet is actually banning them. Also the charging times is bold faced lies and to keep the charging time down turns out the vehicles tell people to charge sooner so they don't lose as much power too quickly and make it seem like they are keeping charges whin in reality the engines require 37% charge at all times or the computer will lock the user out and not turn the part of the engine that allows the vehicle to drive on until its charged and the batteries will only charge for about 20 minutes using fast charge which ends up also the cars will not exceed 83% charge do to the fact that if the battery cells are fully charged they have a tendency of exploding the vehicles so in reality at most you are charging 44% of the battery not 100% and that is at most also the 20 minute time is a blatant lie and the real time is 2 to 17 hours. They are slow as hell charging yet so many people lie because they refuse to admit to themselves that they got scammed. Turns out electric vehicles don't actually turn off fully because the require themselves to always be running to keep the battery from freezing or seizing up so the vehicles have to always be running part of the motors to keep the vehicle from either exploding or never turning on again . They have so many issues that its not worth it. Also if the government stopped spending trillions to lower the cost of this garbage the actual value of them would be around $200,000 for the cheapest and the average cost would be around $5.7 million per electric vehicle but do to government over reach the actual value of the cars has been blatantly hidden to try and switch over to something that does not work because the government is failures at reality. This stuff gets worse and worse the more you actually do research into and you find out that the technology has not gotten better in fact there has not been any actual break throughs in electric motors sense 1953. The only technology that has gotten better is computers but the computers are not the engine that keeps it on nor what charge it what the computers do is regulate the engine from turning off and block your ability to control your own vehicle. The actual distance they travel and how the batteries and motors work in them has not changed at all in 71 years, The reality is the technology advanced to its peak in efficiency with this garbage before most grandparents were born. Sure they have put the motors and batteries into new frames and using new lights but the actual underlying fundamentals of how the vehicles run has not changed at all in 71 years while gas vehicles keep advancing and becoming better and better while the only thing that changes with electric vehicles is cosmetic adjustments and nothing else. It peaked 71 years ago and now rich people are wasting money on literal garbage. Also the actual value of these things drops by 98% after a year because they have to have the entire battery replaced every 180 to 340 at most charges. This stuff peaked almost a century ago and its never gotten better at all in fact you might say its gotten worse especially when compared to its counterparts gasoline and diesel. Hydrogen is even worse when you realize it requires its counter parts of diesel and gasoline to transport everything for them and to create and mine and make them functional. Basically they are worthless. Everything ends of proving that diesel and regular petroleum works better and has far less problems.

EV sales in China grew 31%, compared to the same period last year. Tesla Model Y is still the most sold car in China, while BYD sells more EV's than any other brand. China's EV market comprises 60% of the whole world's EV market. Which means that perhpas Tesla may face problems in US (and perhaps even close its factory), but not worldwide.
High, forefront tech is losing more and more in the US, compared to China, and is lagging behind in:
      Total cars produced;
      EVs and Plugin-Hybrids produced;
      Bullet trains and railways;
      5G and 5G tech
      Shipbuilding
      Hypersonics
Roboters in use (China has ca. 4 times as much in use as the US)
      Space tech
      GPS
      Construction machinery
      Tunnel boring machinery
      High-rising building tech
      Household appliances tech
      Lighting
      Drones
Green energy - Solar and Wind
      Etc.
The more the US refuses to modernize, the more they are doomed to collapse.

They don't make it thru the warranty period without having issues. My neighbor got sucked into this whole green b.s.. Now he owns an EV that he hates. The EV is sitting out in the driveway unused. A new Toyota Camry ICE vehicle has now replaced it and no one wants to buy the EV from him. He's upside down on it. Repo time. This is so common.

People have now seen how horrible electric cars are in winter. Ranger is greatly reduced in cold weather, and charging takes much longer.
Add to this limits on where one can actually go. If you want to leave major metropolitan centers, you better take a long a generator, because charging stations simply aren't there.
While depreciation is mentioned here, it can be difficult finding anyone who will buy a used EV at all. Many dealers simply don't want them as trade ins. Basically, when you buy one, you have to think of it as worthless down the road.
Oh, and don't forget homeowner insurance! Companies are dumping homeowner policies if you buy one of these fire hazards. EV's catch on fire waaaay too often for companies to want the risk.

  • @Dherkin_McGhurken

The EV "range" is worse than the EPA rating on ICE vehicles. EV range is based on even ground, low set speed (35 mph), low carry weight (1 passenger) and nice ambient temp (no summer or winter driving). So as long as you don't accelerate, brake, eat too much, go faster than a school zone, and you only drive on spring evenings you can reach the "300 mile range" but only if you don't "supercharge" the battery or else the damage will lower the range.

Charging times are not likely to improve anytime soon. The issue isn't the battery. The charger is the bottleneck. It's like filling a swimming pool with a garden hose. It's how fast the hose can deliver water that determines how long it will take, not how fast the pool can be filled.
Chargers are already close to the practical limit for how much power they can handle. The faster a battery is charged, the more current is running through the wires, and the hotter they become. They can only be so hot before they can't be used.
There is already a hack to use a wet towel when charging during hot weather. It helps dissipate the heat, thus allowing the charger to increase the current flow slightly.
That's a questionable tactic, as all that's happening is the sensor in the handle is being tricked into thinking there's less heat in the wires than there actually is. The issue of excessive heat buildup hasn't been solved. It's being masked.
And, there is a limit to how much power can be delivered to a given location. The more vehicles there are charging at once, the more the power has to be throttled to prevent an overdraw from the grid.
As it stands, batteries are already being charged at slower rates than they are capable of handling. It won't be a simple matter to change that.

If EV batteries are people, they would need 2 hours psychiatric sessions every day or they will burst into run away thermal rage in random moments 🤣 Lithium batteries just can't take the stress of everyday life. All the charging and discharging everyday and night, do not charge above 80 %, do not discharge below 20%, the bumps and sudden braking of everyday driving, the faulty busbar, the slow burning resistor made in china tucked in the most inaccessible place, the unseen arcing of battery terminal #4 at subpack 18, the rock that came from nowhere that hit the undercarriage, the pothole that suddenly manifested on the road, etc. They just can't handle it. EV batteries are the snowflake versions of power storage 😂🤣

GM back in 1997 actually tried to get a working EV the EV1 and the second California started trying to push absurdly unachievable and expensive mandates GM scrapped the whole project and destroyed all the cars.

EV sales are presently going down but the decline is even larger for gazoline cars.
To conquer the market, electric cars (EVs) only have to be technically superior to the Internal Combustion Engine cars (ICE). It’s clearly the case.
    1. EVs are simpler to make: Tesla, for instance, has reduced the number of pieces for the front part of the vehicle from 70 pieces to only one. (It’s the same thing for the rear part of its vehicles.)
    2. Tesla, BYD and Volvo demonstrated that it was possible to produce profitable EVs; something legacy producers like GM or Toyota are unable to do. It’s because they feared bankruptcy that many companies stopped producing EVs.
    3. The price of EVs is falling rapidly due to the rapidly falling price of their batteries (- 30% in 2023).
    4. No cobalt or nickel are used to produce the most modern EVs.
    5. EVs pollute much less than ICE cars, especially when they move.
    6. EVs are more stable on roads because their heavy batteries are located at the bottom of the car.
    7. EVS protect better their occupants when there is a collision due to the rigidity of their battery packs.
    8. There are fewer than ten (10) moving parts in an EV engine compared to more than a thousand in an ICE car. That reduction in the number of pieces means that less machinery are used to produce them. As a result, producing electric cars creates less pollution.
    9. EVs accelerate more rapidly than ICE cars when their drivers try to overtake other cars.
    10. The brakes on an EV last much longer due to their regenerative braking system.
    11. The dashboard of an EV is much simpler to produce since almost all the controls are on the on-board computer.
    12. There are fewer liquids in an EV (windshield cleaning fluid, battery fluid).
    13. EVs are roomier than ICE cars because their engines are much smaller.
    14. Most technical problems on an EV can be solved ¨over the air¨ without having to go to a dealer.
    15. EVs don’t need to go to the dealer for regular maintenance.
    16. Everybody can buy an EV on the Internet without having to go to a dealer.
    17. Recharging an EV is 80% cheaper than filling the tank of an ICE car.
    18. Nowadays, there are multiple ways to produce electricity. (N.B. In 2023, solar panels are the cheapest way to produce electricity. And they almost never need long transmission lines).
    19. Nowadays, charging stations are everywhere while the number of gas stations is decreasing.
    20. Contrary to ICE cars, EVs can be recharged at home.
    21. EV owners say they have no problem with the autonomy of their vehicle.
    22. If EVs explode from time to time, 200,000 ICE cars explode every year in USA.
    23. Finally, we need to replace ICE cars with EVs for two other reasons. First, because petroleum is becoming scarcer on the planet and, second, because we all need to stop depending on an explosive region like the Middle East for our main source of energy.
    24. Etc.

As a recent retiree from a Fortune 100 electric company, I'm surprised not many people are mentioning a critical piece of the EV puzzle: getting electricity to the chargers.
The piece of the electric infrastructure is _distribution_ - the link from the roughly 100Kv and up transmission lines (which are not a big deal yet) to the sections of user connections. A distribution substation - a sub that accepts distribution level voltages, like 69kV, and distributes consumer level power (below 1 kV) typically supports somewhere around 20,000 to 100,000 homes. That is what a charging center with hundreds of chargers needs.
Where does that infrastructure come from? I don't know about other states, but here in Arizona the provider (electric company) pays for maintenance and ratepayers pay for capital projects like substations. Unless it is an emergency the provider asks the Corporation Commission for a rate increase that will cover those costs. If the Commission approves the increase the provider can get the ball rolling. In as little as a handful of years later the feed for the charging facilities will be completed and the new, improved (he he) rates will be in force. If the Commission gets too much pushback for the increase the charging stations will be tiny, ineffective things like we have at present.
One other thing: the rate increases to pay for the capital upgrade will necessitate the end of "net metering" for the state - the dubious practice of forcing the electric provider to pay retail prices for excess electricity generated by residential solar rather than at competitive contract rates as federal rules have traditionally required. If net metering stays in force the solar provider would be evading the capital improvement costs that the bulk electric provider has to pay.
Yes, it is rather screwy but it wasn't my idea.

    - EV's pile up to be discarded (where?).
    - Purchase & Repair cost are more than 80% of people can afford.
    - Insurance rises with numerous expensive repairs.
    - Distance is shorter than advertised.
    - If you live in a city it may work for you, but for rural or traveling it's a massive fail.
    - Charge time is a nightmare.
    - Expensive to charge if you find a location when traveling.
    - Fires are horribly hard to put out once the battery sparks, it takes hours more water, ask a fireman.
    - Very little planning for the present and future with this experiment, but it's a 'money maker'.

I’ve been considering a small or mid-sized pickup to be a cool grandpa in, but the value proposition of those vehicles has been destroyed by all the automakers.
So, I’m certainly not considering an electric at this time-state governments with their panic-driven tax policies and insurance companies with their out of control premiums are just making any decision a problem only solvable by AI (hopefully not prejudiced by said state governments and insurance companies).

I would not count either on major BEV technology breakthroughs with significant market impact since everything easy to discover on a kitchen table is being used…and we would need a big electro-chemical surprise such as high temperature superconductors , blue led’s to induce a market shift. Today and without MORE battery power density while holding all other features , durability, efficiency, max fast charge current, etc..the vehicle autonomy will NOT improve. If you add battery weight for more autonomy the car holding this extra weight and volume is bigger and heavier and now requires more energy for the same distance as before and the extra gain is minimal without technical improvmemt.

If I was forcing market issues, and, EV public charging was expensive, I would force fuel prices to be twice as dear as public charging.
