- Time for a good sit-back Sunday Showcase. Hot Wheels Car Culture has truly ushered in the Premium Golden Age at Hot Wheels. The sheer number of cool models can't even be counted. But I did anyway. At least my 10 favorites. From Car Culture, Fast & Furious Premium, Boulevard, Entertainment, and Pop Culture, I attempted to pick my 10 favorite. Let's see if you agree.

Car Culture: The series that made me broke

What a great time to collect. So much variety and so much more still to come.
Golden age of premium, you just nailed it. Although 100% series, vintage racing, garage series, old "drag strip demons" series made some legends, this Car Culture era is beyond all of them.
No wrong answers, is in the eye of the beholder.
I’ve been enjoying this hobby for nearly ten years now. I always loved diecast as a kid many years ago! Incredible video as always Lamley. Keep them coming!! The 75 Snowman Kenworth Smokey and the Bandit is probably the best I’ve seen!

My number one is probably the Alfa Giulia GTA.

the Quattro Sport is beautiful. I've got it in my hands right now...video does it no justice.

I like the Benz 280SEL most; and it's ~1/64 in length. I think the Alfa GTA and Dakar 959 are my other favs.
John, beatiful show, so happy that I have 5 out of your ten favs, and to see my very 2 favs: the MB 190E and the RWB Porsche, these are just toys, but tells a story ....
the music is class the sound suit the show so well . luv it . the red Mercedes 300 SEL is the winner but the Nissans ,the Buick GNX and the Mercedes SEL are very nice indeed . although from what's in the cases behind i may have 20 other models .
Top ten from my own personal collection, in no particular order:
- Black Buick GNX from F&F Motor City Muscle
- Dodge Lil' Red Express Pickup, think it was in 50th anniversary packaging
- Blue and white Chevy 4x4 truck from Boulevard
- Red Buick Riveria from Boulevard
- Yellow Lotus Esprit from British Horsepower
- Chrysler Turbine from Boulevard (older series)
- Pearl white Nissan Silvia S15
- Red 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS from F&F 1/4 Mile Muscle
- Deustchland Design Red Pig Mercedes
- Simon & Simon Dodge Power Wagon
There are several out there that I may like even more than these, but this list is what I have been able to obtain. Quite frankly some of these may have turned out to be pegwarmers, but I likes what I likes.
The vintage racing and rally cars are really good. Some very good Porsches as well.
Ironic how after watching a Lamley showcasing I suddenly find myself interested in castings I may have passed on!!

BMW M1 Procar, BMW 02, Porsche 993 GT2, Porsche 964, Alfa Romeo Gulia, 33 Stradale Lancia 037, Stratos, sooo many Skylines R32, R33, R34 in different decos... Maybe a TOP 100 would make more sense

I love the look of the Baja bruiser I'm starting to start a premium collection and have a very nice collection that catches my eye
Always wished I had gotten that black RWB. About a month ago, I stopped by an Advanced Auto Parts (in the middle of nowhere) and they had the Gulf Fiat hanging by the register. I asked if they had anything else and they came back with the Silhouette RWB and red Skyline. Nearly passed out!
I am a 61 years old collector, and trust me, I know the feeling .... they are just toys, but tells a story ....
Lucky-ass!! lol I'm in the same boat, maybe ill score 'em someday... the "Silhouette" cars are hard to find under like $15 anymore, sometimes +$20. Doesnt feel right paying that much for them... Because it ISN'T right lol.

The black R32 and yellow civic ef would've been in thier for me but can't argue with any of your choices. Top 10 isn't an easy thing to figure out!

Nice picks from your end! You chose from a wide variety which was nice to see. I would add the ‘97 Audi S4 saloon from Deutschland design to my list because it is one of those iconic, sleeper cars that one would never think is very fast. Next would be the beautiful Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. Gorgeous subject and well replicated by HW.
except the 33 Stradale wasn't in *Car Culture* it was in the Boulevard series (unless I'm an idiot and blvd is PART of CC but i dont think it is lol). But yeah, they did a pretty good job with that one👍
Sir all of the ones that you have chosen for the top 10 are magnificent, but yet there are so many others out there that deserve to make the top 10 also. I pretty much like them all and I sure am looking forward to the future and seeing what we get. My number one favorite out of the ones you showed is the skyline van, wow it is at least one of my all-time favorites. No matter what 10 any one person should choose, they are all correct because they are all so nice. Thank you for the awesome show sir

John - I love your channel. Keep up the great videos! You need to convince your friends at Hot Wheels to inject some of their passion for giving us great collectors sets (Car Culture, Boulevard, TH, and STH) into the Hot Wheels ID series. There are so many great cars from the various collectors series that could be picked up and made unique for the ID series (which I feel splits the space between Treasure Hunts and Super Treasure Hunts). Some of the models you picked - 1969 Skyline Van, the Mercedes 190E 2.6, Nissan Skyline C-210, Nissan Sylvia S-15 and the Audi RS6 Avant are great candidates for the ID series. HW can change the colors, add the ID base and add some interesting tampos. I have collected all the ID cars so far yet feel some of the more recent cars - Speed Dozer, Sting Rod, etc - are just not interesting and out of step with the series. Also, HW seems to be in a reissuing mode for many of the ID models - Twin Mill (3), Bone Shaker (4), Huayra (3). (Plus, I don't think kids are collecting the ID cars.) I have to say some of the more recent IDs (Mazda RX-7 and Nissan Sylvia Drift cars, the 2020 Corvette and Porsche 918 - have given me hope!!) Either that, or HW should incorporate ID technology into one of the other series (TH, STH, CC, Blvd) or higher end mainlines, and kill the separate ID series. (The issue may be the plastic base required for the ID cars.) Thanks for the support,

Also, as far as Car Culture, definitely the Grateful Dead T1 VW(love VW buses), the 72 Mercedes is unbelievably tight; line wise, the lowered ride height, wheel and color choice; absolutely stellar example, and while there are so many other great models I think the Fast Wagons green late model Volvo captures something special and delivers something truly special from an early era of a n iconic brand.
Grateful Dead VWT1 was released before the Car Culture era of Hot Wheels.

The Mazda 787B from Circuit Legends is absolutely deserving of being in this top ten.
Nice line up. I'm quite surprised not to see the Datsun Sunny Pickup or the Trucks Datsun 620 in there.

Historics 2 got me back into hunting and currently love the white gtr set. Oh and hot wheels needs to remake the hks Toyota altezza to go with all the great hks cars that have come out
Love them all! The Mercedes are really nice. Gotta go with one from the Drag Strip Demons series, One of the M3's (probably the Fast and Furious E36 version), but these are all beautiful.

Google "HW WIKI": HotWheels Fandom page has every casting Hot Wheels has ever produced. EVER. Just go to the tab/link that says "Premium", or "Car Culture", etc. you can organize it by name, release date, series, I use it ALL THE TIME.
I love car culture. I have purchased several models but I'm still really selective because i truly love lowriders. I'm not huge into exotics and certain other cars. They look incredible but i don't feel like purchasing them. I'd like to see a lowrider set in car culture. I'd buy multiples of that for sure😁😎

My favourite Line is still Hot-Wheels Classic and of course Boulevard.
The Artwork is so much nicer on Boulevard.
When you start Car Culture, it's impossible to go back to regular Hot Wheels.
I pretty much only collect premium now.

I'm surprised so many of your favorites are fairly recent(ish) releases! Then again *NOT* surprised because HotWheels has been absolutely killing it past year or 2, especially CarCulture! Also it seems our tastes are very similar...Insanely similar in fact lol.

Give them time, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Team Transports Team Honda/spoon/mugen something-or-other, or with the EK9 coming maybe they'll do a diorama like the NISSAN box sets... EG/EK Hatch, S2000, Prelude Si maybe?
