Maybe if Mattel actually got these in stores I'd vote.
They seem to have bare stocks the whole year.
ALWAYS
Yeah. Most of these never saw in stores.
That's not even a scalper related problem; most of these sets straight up never landed in my state. Their distribution is TERRIBLE. I didn't have an issue collecting AW this year!
The scalpers are wiping out all the JDM stuff. Mattel needs to start selling everything direct on their website. Screw the big-box stores. Walmart and Target are the worst.
STOCK NOT THERE GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER MATTEL SCALPERS NOT TO BLAME HERE
@@oneshot740 lol plz. definitely scalpers
the group 5 capri and 320i,altezza,and the land cruiser are definitely my favourites will try to get them soon
Im actually amazed at how many models i never seen on the pegs.
Man distribution has been whack since covid in a lot of countries + scalpers, as always
This. Disapointed more than amazed though. So many really nice models this year and I've barely seen a single one of them.
@@davebeatI'm from europe, so that's definitely an issue, but in an entire year of collecting I've only ever seen 3 premium sets on the pegs. a F&F, Team transport and pop culture set, the one with the jaws chevy. And what a surprise, the RS2 is completely missing.
@@sunniboi7105 Oh yeah the shortage of premiums is another issue they're too highly priced here so you end up with the premiums no one wants like the Disney Onward van or for 14 euro (30 for team transport) and they won't order any new sets until the garbage is sold.
@@davebeat 14 euros is crazy, they are 10 here where I live. And yea, that's pretty much what's happening with the aformentioned pop culture set. The RS2 is the only one looked after, and so everything else has sat on the pegs for weeks.
I have come into terms with the fact that I won't see premiums around here, so I'd have to resort buying them online.
When I go to the store I always think "what if that set is there?" But it never happens, and most of the time not even mainlines are present.
For me, most disappointing is the Countach. It's a beautiful car that was very poorly represented in Premium, specially with those small front tires. Its just makes the entire car look like one of those things you put underneath doors to stop them from closing. Very disappointed.
Totally agree, such a beautiful car and they ruined it
Ford Anglia racer I voted best of…great casting, color & deco, with the white 4 spoke mini RR’s 👍🏽👍🏽. Most disappointing for me is the ‘99 Maxima because the side windows look kinda weird, other than that it looks fine.
Highlights - Fiat 131, Escort Cosworth and Anglia. Disappointed with the JDM casting choices except for the Honda which closes this great video 🎉
Hard to argue with that E34 M5. Factory colour and spec, executed nicely just like the E39. When I heard HW was doing a Corrado, I was so excited to get my hands on it. Really wanted a clean Red version as a callback to the OG Forza Horizon. What I didn't want was a pimp my ride special that barely resembles the original car. Was so disappointed in that one, and hope they retool it in the future.
As soon as I bought the M5 and had it in person, I had a feeling it might be my fav premium of the year
There's more of a possibility of Matchbox making a proper stock version, rather than Hot Wheels making one anytime soon imo.
@@JohnSTF72 - Would be happy to see that.
Yeah I was really excited for the Corrado, especially when I heard it was going to be purple. What they produced was such a disappointment.
Fingers crossed for a stock version later on.
Yea I also would have loved a stock version. I totally passed on it, when I was excited for it
I made sure to take your advice from last year and vote for my favorite overall model and worst model goes to one that missed the mark of what it should be. NOT what I least liked/hated most. Capri and the 320 stole my heart but it ultimately went to the Capri! RCF GT3 missed the mark real bad in my mind
Maxima is EASILY most disappointing for me. I can't wrap my head around the fact people snatched it up like crazy. It doesn't look good at all. It looks more like an Impala than a Maxima.
2023 was the low-water mark for me finding premium Hot Wheels in stores thanks to local Ottawa scalpers vacuuming the pegs. I only caught a fresh restock of Boulevard once this year, otherwise that series might as well not exist anymore for me. I can't speak for anyone else but I was finding more premiums even during the peak of CV-19 compared to now. The only new premium in this video that I have is the Chevy C-10 ramp truck from the Team Transport Impala set and it's nice but I also have a C-10 ramp truck from Greenlight in Shell livery that's even nicer.
Less folks going out when covid 19 was in its peak
I agree, I never saw them either. Scalper special is what they are now. I gave up on collecting Boulevard.
@@cheder6 I know that but, on the flipside, there were also serious supply chain disruptions.
@@blainejenrette9334 I wish Mattel would do the plastic shipping container sets with each wave of Boulevard the way they do with Car Culture.
@@SteveBrandon Walmart has the 25 Blvd car set for cars released in 2023 and 2022 if you want to buy that. My area has a lot of scalpers too so I can never find Blvd on the peg. If you get the 25 cars set, the 2023 comes out to be roughly 8.3 dollars a car, which is so much better than buying it from resellers for like 15-30 per car. The only downside is that they aren't in the card if you're looking for carded sets.
7/8 of models shown I've only seen on your program. I live in Utah like you, and work for Walmart I should have first crack at any car however, scoring a ZAMAC our stores models has been impossible. I'm an avid collector my collection is over 6,000 and premium is worse to aquire which raises the overall price for all premiums. Can you address these concerns or am I smelling a conspiracy? Btw what no American muscle, hot rod, or classics? Foundational cornerstones Lamley😮
I still need to vote on the pole but the Holden is the winner. The vw icorrado s a very close second. I know some people are disappointed with the way the vw was done but I like it. It opens up a number of options like racing deco on it. The Citroen van was a surprise to me. I liked that hot wheels did this one. A different deco would be nice down the road to keep it going. The Nissan Maxima is a weak one. It is the little details that do not work on it.
Wishing that I could find the Holden Torana in Montreal and the Capri.
The Capri is my favorite of the year. Still looking for the Toyota Azerra.
altezza is the best and hot takes i really like the fiat 131 abarth(kinda wish it got white rims color tho like in dirt rally 2.0)
Nice to see that I ACTUALLY HAVE some of the casting Lamley Group is showcasing
Abarth 131 best choice for me, thanks.
bast car culture mix sounds cool
my favourite is the Citroen H van because i've been waiting for either a hotwheels or matchbox version for what seems forever. Glad its finnaly here for everyone to enjoy :)
13:45 That’s such a big F you to the ones who bought this version…
Biggest disapointment is the plain plastic wheels, still.
Nice to see Spettacolare represented, all the cars are nice, especially the Lancia Stratos!
I actually have an old casting
Great set, although for me the Lancia was the least favorite ...
To me they're all good castings.👍
This is the way!
I’ve always liked Mark Jones designs. Two killers here. The Porsche Cayman is nice, but a bit vanilla. The Delorean - ugh🤦🏻♂- How can you call this a “casting”? There’s barely any metal on it now, wait till it becomes a mainline. Under 30 grams, for sure.
I absolutely Love this lineup and for me the most difficult to pick the BEST. Hot Wheels really did an amazing job however the Corrado VR6 may just be my most Disappointing only because I prefer the stock look of such an iconic car.
Being left hand drive the Integra Sedan is in fact US spec
The boulevard series pisses me off the most. They have become the scalper special in which they are not to be found in stores. Literally, these selfish people come in and wipe the pegs clean leaving none for true collectors. So because of that, the only way to get them is to over pay for a damned toy car. End rant.
Would love to see a stock 320i S package. Black on black. Really enjoyed stumbling upon that Jaws Blazer.
72 chevy ramp truck is beautiful
Hell yeah, that n van is bad ass
Im not at all a fan of stock cars unless they look interesting from the start, so a few of these I just didn't care for to begin with. I wanted a non tooned Altezza for a good while, even just a small spoiler and a splash of color would have been enough for me. Instead we got the equivalent of a guy going to the bar by himself and ordering water, just so dull and the chase didnt improve anything for me. For me Id say the best is the Holden Torana cuz its not a common car you see around here, its not excessively modded, good color balance, and the small wheels actually work with its proportions.
And that is why Matchbox is handling the job in terms of stock regular cars, but everyone is trying to Matchbox-ify Hotwheels for no good reason
Most disapointing has got to be the Integra it's already such a gereic looking JDM car like many of that era. Not to mention we've already had the 2 door Integra since 2016 which looks way better.
I have the Capri on my Blue Wonder. The Chevy hauler is great but there's loads left on the pegs. I liked the Impala it came with. The Fiat Abarth was disappointing for me as it looks so disjointed between the body and the rims. I love the escort as well
Great video, really quality videos!
Best: Mazda miata Disappointing: Ford Anglia, disappointed to see it in racing livery and not in the same color from Harry Potter movie
My most disappointing is definitely that Nissan Maxima from The Fast and the Furious. I LOVE the car in the movie, definitely one of my favorites and was so excited/happy to see that Hot Wheels was doing this car… but something about those proportions, it just isn’t adding up.
Thats because its not even based on the right version of the maxima to begin with
Lots of fire this year, but that new lambo front wheels looked too small for me in person but that vw Corrado really disappointed me...
That Chevy hauler is kind of cool, but there’s tons of them left on the pegs. I guess it’s because the car is was hauling. I thought it was cool. I bought one but I guess nobody else liked it that much.
I love the altezza but I wish it was a lil smaller
I like the Citroen a LOT. I almost took it apart for the wheels, but I was only able to find one on the pegs around me so I am happy I left it. Its too bad the blister was broken when i bought it however, so I am still looking for another.
In transports, it's the C-10 of course. I have been waiting on one of those for a long while, now I need a few to customize!
I am personally disappointed in the Maxima and the Integra and I really think it is only because of the wheels on them... The Maxima wheels are too large and the fenders too small, that car needs to be recast to more closely represent the card art, and drop the wheel size.
The Integra wheels are just too small, maybe it's just me but I think the wheels need about 1mm in diameter more with the tire sidewall staying the same, only making the tire bigger to fit the wheel.
Well said about the Integra and Maxima
The VW Karmann-Corrado is a quite good looking Sportscar ...still in 2024.
I really wish we could get that Holden Torana over here in the Philippines.
Personally, Escort is the best!
How are some of those vehicles disappointing ? they seem pretty cool.
Altezza is the best and now we need an altezza gita and a new hks altezza
Not gonna lie, up close the detail is kinda disappointing. The printing of the lights are on par with Matchbox, which isn't really a compliment. Most of the paint jobs look great but not consistent! I LOVE the off-road tires! Race Day is my favorite!
Blaues is two syllables.
Blau= German for the color blue
Pronounced like “ow” when you get hurt.
Blau-es are the two syllables. “Es” like you are saying the letter “S”.
Jay Leno had his custom built.
I love the Mercedes blue wonder but I hate the j Leno set
Yeah, no car really belongs to this Transporter.
That Corrado still wins hands down in my book.
Very cool castings lamley group
Best: Ford Capri Gr.5, followed by Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Both perfectly executed imo.
Most dissapointing: Easily the 1999 Nissan Maxima. Looks like it was rushed to release and looks barely better than a mainline imo.
Why was the Liberty Walk 2000 gtr from the Skyline Diorama not included? New collecor here but I'm pretty sure this was it's first time in premium.
I wish will get Honda Accord here in Canada, I hope.
BMW M5 '91 Toyota Alteza,Nissan Maxima.
Favorites, BMW E34 and Escort Cosworth. Least favorites easily the ugly white Lamborghini with the 2 size wheels and the Maxima that doesn't even look like a Maxima.
Great!
Good morning!
Great video
Most disappointing is easily the maxima. The proportions are so off . Really a shame . For the best ive gotta go with the torana
😢 Finally a Honda accord. I need it. This is why I started collecting in the 1st place
Mercury Capri, built by Ford.
The Toyota Altezza rear bumper is too big , I voted that for my most disappointing
Wasnt the Honda Civic from boulevard considered a new casting? But as a premium?
The disappointment is the Nissan Maxima
altezza !!!!!
The Altezza is undoubtedly the best, it's q great car that looks more real than any of the others and has well proportioned wheels that dont look a bit off like most of the bmws
They Gave Us The Toyota Altezza, Then The Soarer, Then Where Is The Chaser (Not The Elite64 One) And The Aristo
I've never seen you put the cars on display in such a mess, ever. Good video non the less. I'm an old collector.
If I can't even find the cars on the peg pointless to watch . Distribution still sucks. Might be best to pick a new hobby for 2024.
Maybe not a new hobby but a different brand of models.
We need that lamborghini revuelto hot wheels premium 👀
Best : Prado, BMW M5, and Lexus
Worst : Maxima, Integra, and Anglia
CHÉVERE..... FURGÓN DE CITROEN ... DISNEY 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I really don’t know what to pick for best new model, as there are so many I like. But the most disappointing/worst is easy : the Maxima. What a complete joke that one was. The Citroen Van is a close second. I love that van in real life and I just can’t get behind the way this tooling is put together. I don’t mind the stance and the huge engine in the back. But that big gap in the front to allow for the headlights is just poor engineering.
Do you have Supra?
You still rule Lamely.you still rule.
John needs to start watching movies, i mean damn, like dude.
1/43 not 1/24...
No muscle cars 😢
I have to say, the most disappointing element of HW premium models that I have of late are the wheel colors. Am I really the only one who finds the flat grey plastic wheels gross? Why can't HW use plastics that have a satin finish on them? Honestly, the only wheel colors that really look good are chrome and black. The others just scream PLASTIC.
The Maxima is one ugly casting! Love the 2 new haulers and the BMWs!
The Maxima is terrible, looks like a Caprice. Still, the Miata is most disappointing; I love the NB Miata and the front end is all wrong.
The Maxima was downright horrendous. If you took all paint and tampos off of it you'd have a hard time differentiating it from the 96 Impala SS. Bad proportions, oversized wheels. Just awful execution
Lamley. Awards. What. The. Best. and. Most. Disappointing
The most disappointing for me actually is the H van, lol. I love the H van IRL, lots of cool customs have been made from them, plus food trucks and whatnot. I have been wanting one for ages but hot wheels kind of ruined it. The front gap between the body and base is so big and the hole in the back is also really annoying. I get that it was done to save money but its just so gaudy. The red glass also didnt help but that can be changed.
As for best I stand by the Capri, nothing really much to say besides its just about perfect! Its also kind of a deep cut for hot wheels so bonus points for that.
No new video for 2 weeks and counting? No results from Best of 2023? No reviews/previews of new sets? What is going on?
The worst is any classic car ruined by Hotwheels
Butthurt mutch?
@@jan-hendrikdejager6315let the man give his opinion
The best is every hyper car
That's what they do better IMO. Specially muscle cars
What classic car did they ruin here there’s no classics here my guy
are you alright?
What's with the gloves now, copying Ministry of diecast or what? What's most disappointing is the crappy tampo printing now, it's just plain awful. The Accord wheel wells, like many now are just so ridiculous. The wheels should fit better to have the body overhang so poor.
First!
It’s odd to expect us to vote on models that most of us have never seen in real life.
BEST IS IS300 WORST IS BMW GROUP 5 CAUSE ITS NOT A M4 GTS
Doesn’t that make the IS300 the worst as well because it’s not an M4 GTS???
@@tomm6752WELL NO CAUSE ITS NOT A BMW
The White Countach Wheels loo stupid, mini GT is way better.
