I was happily surprised to see that exhibit upstairs! It's been fun on YT to be exposed to a lot of World bird species that I didn't know about before- and very happy to learn about these Raptors and the WWF in India!! Thanks :)
India is very rich in so many amazing historical places..culture, food etc..Just an amazingly wonderful trip... I visited only once very long time ago but India is still on my radar LOL.. In the meantime I will watch through your lens...Take care!

Thanks Brenda - yes I think that was a vulture! We saw quite a few during the trip. It was a fun surprise to see the Raptor exhibit, and think about the World Wildlife Fund in India. That is a beautiful looking "Retreat". Many husbands try chocolates and flowers when their wives are upset. The ruler here must have really upset his wife. The views were wonderful, (especially over Udaipur and the lakes), and the Palace a great place to visit. There are so many wonderful Palaces and Fortresses especially in Rajastan. Another great glimpse of this amazing country.
Thanks Robert and Ivor! We enjoyed a casual walk around the Palace- the back veranda is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the countryside. Did you get to tour much around Rajasthan? @@JenniferLupine After leaving Delhi we stopped at Mandawa which had been on major trade routes and was full of wonderfully painted buildings and old Haveli that catered for the merchants passing through. Our route then took us to Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaipur anf finally Agra. There was so much to see in each destination and also along the route between each place. Jaisalmer was amazing and really was somewhere I would love to see once more. We stayed in Haveli`s, small hotels, palaces and even one night in the desert. I will try and get Ivor to put some of this trip on RUclips sometime. When we retired we had booked two more trips to India and Sri Lanka but then Covid arrived followed quickly by my own mobility issues. Hopefully these are now receding and I will have opportunity for another visit to this amazing country. Best wishes Robert & Ivor
Morning Jen I finally get round to watching as we were away all last week. Your trip looked amazing. Tne palace is beautiful, haha Upset Wife Palace, thats so funny, your friends are really lovely and it was great that they showed you around for the 2 weeks. Loved the location of it, the views were amazing for miles around and the lake system was interesting and so old, good thing they keep them rennovated. The music was fabulous, I love music from around the world. I reaaally enjoyed this and need to catch up on your previous India ones . I had internet during the trip so I had emailed him just a photo or two while we were gone. Sri and Vini were lots of fun to travel with and they know the ins and outs of traveling in India so our logistics all went smoothly. It was fun to have a casual, self guided tour this time. I loved the views and I’m happy it wasn’t too busy. Me too, the music was great- I enjoyed hearing the different instruments and songs, plus seeing the musicians. 👌💛💛 I can only imagine how much it costs to maintain the Palace now. What a beautiful area and so rich in history , their music is pretty cool too. The Aravalli mountain range sure must have tempted you to do some hiking or did you? Very interesting about the 12 lakes. Those monkeys in the trees look to be so carefree and really kind to each other. What an awesome experience for you.☮👍
It sure was an amazing experience, thanks! There are some trails in the Aravalli mountains, and we considered hiking, but the weather was just too hot, boo. That would have been fun. I was told that the 12 lakes had gotten very low earlier in the summer, and had just filled back up by 10-12 feet. It’s a very interesting and useful water system. I found a great video online about the Thar Desert, which isn’t too far away from there, and how they designed retention ponds for farming, where one spills into the next, so that every bit of water can be conserved and used for farming. 👌 I’ve really had a great time learning about India! I’m happy to share- thanks so much! 😄 Jen
Whenever I see palaces and castles, I wonder how much that would cost to make today. It's a crazy amount of money poured into these things. The views up there were great😁

Thanks Brenda - yes I think that was a vulture! We saw quite a few during the trip. It was a fun surprise to see the Raptor exhibit, and think about the World Wildlife Fund in India. The Fanta orange was perfect and refreshing in the hot weather. Weren’t the views great, a perfect place for a palace! You’re awesome, thanks for taking the time to join us! 😄🌻🌻🌻

Me too! I think we’ve watched all the old James Bond Movies! It sure is a pretty Palace, seemed like it would be a very relaxing place to live in the old days! 😄🌻🌻

That is a beautiful looking "Retreat". Many husbands try chocolates and flowers when their wives are upset. The ruler here must have really upset his wife. The views were wonderful, (especially over Udaipur and the lakes), and the Palace a great place to visit. There are so many wonderful Palaces and Fortresses especially in Rajastan. Another great glimpse of this amazing country.
Thanks Robert and Ivor! We enjoyed a casual walk around the Palace- the back veranda is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the countryside. Did you get to tour much around Rajasthan? @@JenniferLupine After leaving Delhi we stopped at Mandawa which had been on major trade routes and was full of wonderfully painted buildings and old Haveli that catered for the merchants passing through. Our route then took us to Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaipur anf finally Agra. There was so much to see in each destination and also along the route between each place. Jaisalmer was amazing and really was somewhere I would love to see once more. We stayed in Haveli`s, small hotels, palaces and even one night in the desert. I will try and get Ivor to put some of this trip on RUclips sometime. When we retired we had booked two more trips to India and Sri Lanka but then Covid arrived followed quickly by my own mobility issues. Hopefully these are now receding and I will have opportunity for another visit to this amazing country. Best wishes Robert & Ivor
Morning Jen I finally get round to watching as we were away all last week. Your trip looked amazing. Tne palace is beautiful, haha Upset Wife Palace, thats so funny, your friends are really lovely and it was great that they showed you around for the 2 weeks. Loved the location of it, the views were amazing for miles around and the lake system was interesting and so old, good thing they keep them rennovated. The music was fabulous, I love music from around the world. I reaaally enjoyed this and need to catch up on your previous India ones . I bet Steve was fascinated seeing all of your footage😃So good Jen ~ Anna 👍

I had internet during the trip so I had emailed him just a photo or two while we were gone. Sri and Vini were lots of fun to travel with and they know the ins and outs of traveling in India so our logistics all went smoothly. It was fun to have a casual, self guided tour this time. I loved the views and I’m happy it wasn’t too busy. Me too, the music was great- I enjoyed hearing the different instruments and songs, plus seeing the musicians. 👌💛💛 I can only imagine how much it costs to maintain the Palace now. What a beautiful area and so rich in history , their music is pretty cool too. The Aravalli mountain range sure must have tempted you to do some hiking or did you? Very interesting about the 12 lakes. Those monkeys in the trees look to be so carefree and really kind to each other. What an awesome experience for you.☮👍
It sure was an amazing experience, thanks! There are some trails in the Aravalli mountains, and we considered hiking, but the weather was just too hot, boo. That would have been fun. I was told that the 12 lakes had gotten very low earlier in the summer, and had just filled back up by 10-12 feet. It’s a very interesting and useful water system. I found a great video online about the Thar Desert, which isn’t too far away from there, and how they designed retention ponds for farming, where one spills into the next, so that every bit of water can be conserved and used for farming. 👌 I’ve really had a great time learning about India! Whenever I see palaces and castles, I wonder how much that would cost to make today. It's a crazy amount of money poured into these things.

@@SetForAdventures Hi Simon- I had quite a bit of fresh fruit at the restaurants- including fresh watermelon juice! Yum. It seemed like the fresh fruit was in season- didn’t drink much tea. It was just a big cooler up at the Palace- loved the views!! Thank you! 😄🇮🇳🧡☀️

Isn’t this a great place to build a palace! The views are amazing! It was fun to have a casual walk around… no I can’t imagine what it took to build- they did a great job with the design and that big open terrace out back. Great to chat! 😄☀️☀️☀️ Jen
