Yep, those Kastmaster spoons will work on any fish that will hit a lure, and you’re right: they’re perfect for bluefish. Great for mackerel, too. Redfish seem to like the gold color best.

The blue fish bite has been pretty good there, I’m still trying to find a good hard plastic lure that won’t get chewed up too bad
paddle tails are not plastic its silicone-based material. But where I'm from blue fish here are shad. spoons works very well for them. to catch GT, known by us as Garrick. likes a fast retrieve.

O yea, if ur tryn to cover water with metal and are lookn for bass or fluke take a flippn tube and slide it over the spoon. You get the swim of the spoon but the color and profile of a soft plastic, I have more confidence in that for bass unless im trying to get under schooling blues to bass
Bluefish fillets make awesome flounder bait
Hey now, Bluefish can taste really darn good if you cook them with the right techniques for oily fish! Bleed em out first of course to save time and effort prepping. Smoking especially is the best way to cook them up, as the oil keeps them moist throughout cooking, allowing long smokes and better holding of smoke flavor. I turn bluefish into fish jerky for snacks and fishing guests. Tastes like bacon with very little fish flavor!
Yeah, Kastmaster lures are pretty cool. I've got a few for trout fishing here in Wyoming. Not sure how much you guys like fresh water fishing for trout, but Colorado and Wyoming have some very good places to fish.

Good blues smoke zmans jus like any other soft plastic. They hold up better but sometimes they get halfed. I don't throw good hair or plugs with paint on at blues unless Im searchn for em. As soon as a school comes thru the kastmaster n Hopkins are getting thrown

Get a cobra proweld, it’s meant to repair soft plastics on the move. They are worth the money.
Yup even the pros are naive about tackle only about the Money. I use Poppers Bucktails spoons and Suspending jerkbaits for anything.

I go fishing here at least once a year when I go to OC, MD on vacation. Decent popular spot but be prepared to get snagged on those rocks and the changing of the tides current is strong.

you need to use a lighter rod reeling in fish has fast and has easily has a sinker isnt fishing. youll have more fun, for exaple catfish, really fun on ultra light tackle
Can't flip a blue on the jetty with an UL. Even if you have a MH or mag med. You need about 8 feet and a strong blank even then you have to be careful not to highstick the rod.

Can you please tell me what's the difference between fiberglass rods and fiber carbon ones which one is the best. Thanks in advance Senko
Carbon fiber has a faster stiffer action and fiberglass is more flexible. It's all about what you like and how aggressive you cast and what timing you like. I like my fiberglass glowstick and it's one of my cheapest rods but my carbon fiber rods are lighter and more compact for the same class of rod. My best rods are carbon fiber but they are expensive and I don't have anything fiberglass in that class because most new rods are carbon fiber but I keep reading old timers going on about how they still use the same rod from the 70s and out cast the young fellers.

How do you fish for bluefish and not some other fish? Why wouldn’t any predator fish out there go for the same bait or lure? I could ask the same question about how do you say you are fishing for reds, or trout, or whatever, and not bluefish.
