Why do you think directors are not using many one-takes for performances? I think nowadays they’re used as gimmicky tools than saving time in the editing room like back then, although both one-takes and multiple-cuts have their ups and downs.
@@CitizenHenry-tc1vn yeah, I think it’s that but also it’s the way we consume content now on much smaller screens. The best way for a performance to read is in closeup (obviously not the case but maybe that’s the subconscious justification) than in the sides of the past that were 60 feet across
