- Welcome, to the first TACKLEBAGS Rugby League vlog, well sort of!! The first episode in the series sees Dennis packing down for a Rugby Union match. What better way to benchmark the pies of both rugby codes. Exeter Chiefs provide the entertainment for the first TACKLEBAGS outing, where Dennis is joined by May Rears for analysis of the Rugby Union Matchday Experience. After a charge down the motorway, arriving 6hrs early to find the most suitable pitch for the Tackle-van. (25ft from the bar), they go about exploring and discussing the merits of attending a Rugby match. The pre-match banter takes them from fluffy blanket hospitality at the Blue Ball Inn, to the wonderful Sandy Park, where the good old January weather attempts to dampen the EXETER CHIEFS party. Fortunately the crowd can rely on the best Cornish Pasty in the southwest to raise their spirits against Dennis's cynical RUGBY UNION outlook. With the game done and dusted, it's back to the pub for analysis and the decision of who sleeps in the pop top. The next morning following a windy night, Dennis & May stop off the for the TACKLEBAGS review meeting, and with the aid of a parrot, forward their sliding defence and a breakdown of the experience,. All before Dennis shamelessly starts flogging tee-shirts and plastic cups before the hooter sounds.
