So glad you got experience a grand final. As I Queenslander I was disappointed that the Broncos didn’t win but they fought hard and the best side won.🎊🎉
@JG-bw6lu That's odd, there were 16 different nations at the last Rugby League World Cup and 20 different nations across men's, women's and wheelchair tournaments. Rugby League players don't roll around on the ground like schoolgirls whenever they get just a tap or even an imaginary tap. Societies are pyramid shaped with the weak mass at the bottom, that is why more people play soccer.
It was the best game of footy I’ve seen in years. The comeback, the grit and determination of both teams, the Ref was great, and my Panthers got the threepeat. I live about 500m from panthers stadium and leagues club, it was going off down there. Thousands of people lining the street just having a great time. And cudos to the police for just sitting back, closing of the road and letting everyone just enjoy the historic moment. Don’t get me wrong their presence was huge but just chilled out and kept a close eye on things. I walked back home at 12.30am but still hundreds of not thousands of people still hanging around waiting for the team to come back to the leagues club. 😊
It was my First ever Grand Final too. I've only been to two regular NRL games when i was a child now in my 40s as a Panthers supporter I decided to go to this one all the way from south Australia (five hour drive to Adelaide then a flight to Sydney) so glad i did. I was on the other side of the stadium from where you. were.
Thanks for the comments re: those of us who travelled from Brisbane. We were devastated on Sunday night but we are all so proud of this club and hope to be back again next season.

Was at that game as a neutral supporter, what a game of nrl to be apart of, and credit to the panthers and broncos supporters they were all extremely well behaved on the train home, they all knew they'd just witnessed one of the greatest grand finals of all time
As a Broncos tragic it kills me that the two best GF of the past decade have been Broncos' losses, but that was one amazing game. You got some great footage Rob, well done. Really fun to watch through the eyes of a league newby. I hope you watch some more in the future. It is simply the best.
Great video. The recent stadium upgrade which switched the lights to LED (for instant on/off), upgraded sound, and the massive new Great Southern Screen have really improved the spectator experience and atmosphere, particularly in the pre-game phase.
Great vlog guys and what a game it was - please get yourselves to a big rugby league game in the UK too it’s a big sport in northern England we love it

Welcome back to Sydney. Your first nrl gf was one of the greatest of all time. That stadium was supposed to be rebuilt at $1b in to a more “closer to the pitch” venue like the Arsenal or Millennium stadiums with a roof. But covid hit and they cancelled the rebuild. As someone who lives in Penrith I’m glad they won but as a Wests Tigers fan it doesn’t matter what I think.
What a starter for you! I was in Melbourne two weekends ago for my first, although it was pre-season, NHL games. I was there for both games and enjoyed that weekend as a neutral. The only thing that topped it was having a photo with the Stanley Cup.
Hearing Charlie talk about sweating at 9pm and thinking it's not even summer yet. Western Sydney summer sweating at midnight because it's 35 degrees, lol
Dang, really stoked you guys got to experience, not only a league game but a Grand Final ! Imma Warriors supporter but I also back the Broncos.. so kinda still hurts lols but GGs Panthers, yous played the whole 80mins 🫡💯
While I was saddened you missed the AFL GF like you wanted, I was thrilled finding out you were going to the NRL GF. I've been waiting for this video and it didn't disappoint... So glad you both enjoyed yourself. NRL is where my heart is and I've only been to one gf myself... in 2016 to see my beloved Sharks finally get their hands on the trophy. Best. Day. Ever.
As a Bronco's supporter, the correct team won on the night. Great game. It had everything. There are 4 games a year you don't miss. the 3 x State of Origins + Grand Final.
My brother played in the Parramatta Eels winning team the last time a team won three in a row, then their team backed up for another three years later. This game was almost as exciting as those.
Wow, what an awesome vlog guys! As someone who doesn't really watch sports, I was smiling watching! I can feel both your excitement and the crowds through the screen, a job well done by you guys and the crowd and players! The crowd was so loud. Great atmosphere. I love that stadium. Last time I was there was in 2020 (a year before I moved to Qld) for the firefight charity music festival. Nice salute to Tina Turner too. Oh and love the cameo by the enthusiastic kiwi next to you!

To put the crowd in perspective, once you take out other teams supporters picking sides, it would take over 1/3 the population of Penrith to fill that stadium, while it would take less than 3.5% of Brisbane's population to do it. And yes I am a Penrith supporter feom Penrith
Top shelf! Great experience of a great spectacle. These two sides were far and away the best two sides of the NRL finals series and the 2023 season in general. Penrith should NOT have won the grand final, but they did because of some reasons. The Broncs were 'wooden-spooners' just a couple of years ago, it's worth remembering. Let's Go Broncos! 🐴🐴
What a game! For once the referee did a terrific job! And surprising enough my first live nrl game was 2017 gf where I went for the storm, they ended up winning and now I’m a big nrl fan and has bought most of the possible storm merchandise! Congrats to the the Panthers for the 3-peat and good try to the Broncos!

As a panthers supporter, who couldn't get into Sydney for the game, I spent it at the Penrith leagues club (Panthers home club), and I tell you what the mood change in the second half was insane! Falling from ecstatic mood the first half the place fell depressed and gloomy through the second, but then the boost of the first try, then the second try, the nerves started setting in through out the club.... The eruption into a raging party following Clearys final try! A mood I won't forget quickly! Not to mention the parade of cars through town going mental. All you can say is, Up the Mighty Panthers!!!
Haha that's brill. It was incredible at the stadium!
Great Vlog guys 👍
Was at that game as a neutral supporter, what a game of nrl to be apart of, and credit to the panthers and broncos supporters they were all extremely well behaved on the train home, they all knew they'd just witnessed one of the greatest grand finals of all time
As a Broncos tragic it kills me that the two best GF of the past decade have been Broncos' losses, but that was one amazing game. You got some great footage Rob, well done. Really fun to watch through the eyes of a league newby. I hope you watch some more in the future. It is simply the best.
Cheers mate. Yea that must be painful
Great video.
The recent stadium upgrade which switched the lights to LED (for instant on/off), upgraded sound, and the massive new Great Southern Screen have really improved the spectator experience and atmosphere, particularly in the pre-game phase.
Great vlog guys and what a game it was - please get yourselves to a big rugby league game in the UK too it’s a big sport in northern England we love it
Wigan Vs Catalan this coming weekend. I may try and go if I can get tickets
@@CharlieandRob That would be class if you both did manage to go if you manage to get some tickets … to be honest the attendance isn’t expected to be as big as normal for this years Grand Final due to the French team getting to the final as they don’t bring big away support.. usually 65,000 to 70,000 for GF in Super League but will be about 50k this year I’d imagine with it not being two of the big English clubs … PS - I’ve subscribed to your channel I found it from searching about rugby league - love it - been watching some other vids you’ve posted too ! :-)
0:11 love the punters and dribblers hat
Excellent vlog, nice work! I’m glad you both enjoyed your first Rugby League experience. It’s a great sport! 👍🏽
Brownie!! You'd take anyone to follow your fledgling suburban sport mate 🤣🤣🤣
Wow , you picked a GREAT game , one of the great games for your first game .
I missed this being uploaded - glad you both enjoyed it.
Ah you missed a goodie! Hope you enjoyed it!
What a game was going for the broncos sick of penrith i actually seen tha panthers first ever win in 91 at the old SFS. You guy's are so very lucky most people in Australia never get to experience both the NRL and AFL grand finals in their lifetime. Love the video great content
9:23 Yes it was hot the day of the grand final. I cant imagine how the players handled it, 30°c at kickoff at 7:30pm is crazy.
I don’t follow the footy but you made it all look so exciting. Great video! 👍🇦🇺
Haha I'm glad my video could do that!
It is exciting. Get into it
great game glad you could make it. hope you are enjoying your visit. getting a bit warm now. summer on the way .
Best. Day. Ever.
is really special to be able to say I've been to both now!!
Steve Ella, the zip zip man? What a legend!
@@87CoronaFender They were all amazing - a team of champions who formed a champion team. Truly electric Eels.
Wow watching this, I should be in the stands right under, what a game in the flesh
The crowd was absolutely buzzing the whole way through. No songs like I love about football, but more noise than Aussie rules!
@@CharlieandRob I'm not sure what their usual pre game entertainment is or songs they sing but I guess this year was a special thing to honour Tina. haha we got to hear you guys sing a bit though too 😆🙌
I don’t follow RL but I watch that game and wow it was a great game to watch
You were so lucky to see live the best final and watching history made. No team has come back that far to win and 3 in a row for medern era is something thatmight not happen due to thesalary cap now in place.
Great camera bud!👌You both witnessed your very first NRL gf with a team that made history in many ways. The undercover Pahs supporter@11:25 cracked me up😆
Haha he didnt stop all game!
Great video 👍🏿
I'm glad that you both were able to enjoy another Grand Final, this time in my team's home ground. 👍
It’s ours too
Rugby League is a game that is excellent on TV and as a spectator I prefer it that way but it's still fantastic live. Aussie rules is probably the other way round. Better to see it live so you can see the whole field. I've never seen a game live though of Aussie rules
hope you had a good visit you lapped up the rugby league , now i guess you are heading back to uk. come again rob and charlie there is much much more. best wishes. p
We arrived back in the UK this morning but lots more Aussie vlogs to be released... just got to edit them first 🤣
Aw hell yea brother that game was the best too. Haha nice one mate!
That would of been such a great game to attend wow. I’ve never been able to get to an NRL GF.
Hahaha the Reece Walsh switching off is captured so perfectly here. Look at him in a world of his own 🤣🤣🤣
Oh no wayyyy, you went
What a stadium, I love it.
We did!
I love it when the Bronco's loose,..
To the Cowboys.
Great vid, with great atmosphere, thanks.
11:37 - 11:45 ...."We love the NRL, we love rugby league, I'm a Warriors fan, but I bought this today and I guessed right!" Haha way to go! One of THE best finals imo.
UptheWahs! 😄
Haha he was a bit crazy. He only bought that top because there were so many broncos fans
@@CharlieandRobWas wondering if that guy was your friend or a stranger haha. Also yes Warriors fans are crazy lol harmless tho.
To put the crowd in perspective, once you take out other teams supporters picking sides, it would take over 1/3 the population of Penrith to fill that stadium, while it would take less than 3.5% of Brisbane's population to do it.
And yes I am a Penrith supporter feom Penrith
To be fair alot of people don't live in the place of the team they Support.
Your first NRL match and you get to witness a 3-Peat 🔥 How good is life 🙌
While I don't barrack for either team , you sure picked the right one to attend as it was only of the best Grand Finals in the last 30 years .
Love how small the ground is !
Im not sure I would say it is small when its an 83.5k capacity
What a game! For once the referee did a terrific job! And surprising enough my first live nrl game was 2017 gf where I went for the storm, they ended up winning and now I’m a big nrl fan and has bought most of the possible storm merchandise! Congrats to the the Panthers for the 3-peat and good try to the Broncos!
Great video you two. It was a great grand final. So glad you had a good time. Did you get there in time for the NRLW Grsnd Final (I assume not as it want in the video) it was a great game too.
The tall guy on the trophy is “an Immortal” Norm Provan, from St George (my team); the smaller guy is Arthur Summons from Western Suburbs.
We watched the women on TV while getting ready as we was at Bondi before hand.
Can’t see if it’s already been commented but you definitely need to go to a state of origin match at Suncorp. It’s on a completely different level of atmosphere to anything. You won’t be dissapointed
just being there the atmosphere must have been electric i backed the VFL and and the NRL teams fantastic matches
It’s great that you got to go to a grand final this year, though this is the only time I would ever watch rugby.
@@robstorm3403 to this southerner, it’s all just rugby, and tbh, I don’t care which code is which.
Back again. That was a great game.
