The thing is that it feels like Xbox mislead their customers. They said multiple times that they were acquiring all these studios "to deliver great exclusive games for platforms where Game Pass exists". Finally we are seeing some of those exclusives games release and now people may found out that they didn't really need a Xbox to play these games. They could have just bought a PS5 and play Xbox games there while also having access to PlayStation exclusives.
" Finally we are seeing some of those exclusives games release and now people may found out that they didn't really needa Xbox to play these games." This says to me that these people would have preferred to buy a PlayStation but begrudgingly bought an Xbox because of a particular game. In which case, can they truly be counted as Xbox's core audience and given the special kind of consideration they're asking for when it comes to making games multi-platform?
Was surpised to come here and see a better convo than what was on podcast unlocked. Actually discussed what the playstation response should be, recognized that PS gamers had the same reactions for spiderman on PC. And didnt just try to chastise people for caring about their hardware. Going to watch more of these now
@38:37 Travis mentioning playing Returnal with no Haptics is quite baffling to me when you can play it perfectly fine without haptics on a playstation and it even supports Xbox controllers on PC heck even mouse and keyboard, neither of which have haptics whatsoever 🤣Great episode as always though!
It's a spit in the face of legacy Xbox customers. If you bought a console on the assumption that the games would only be on that box, you're making the choice that you won't have access to the games only coming to the other box. If the games you bought the system for come to the other box, you could have had both games, therefore you wasted your money by not buying that other box instead of this one.
for a platform that supposedly "doesnt have any games" , its sure been funny to see all these sony fans get so obsessed over getting xbox titles all of a sudden.
All these games! How do you guys find the time? + XBox games coming + FF7 Rebirth + Dragon's Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin coming. What a time to be alive!
I've a series x and ps4. I'd love a new pc but the price is soooo prohibitive. A pc build matching a series x/ps5 would cost a fortune. Even with me able to build it myself and acquire a windows license. Console gamers are not going to suddenly going to buy a pc. It's a completely different beast.
Lmao but Gears of War with those analog sticks next to each other on the Dualsense nah man doesn't feel right to play Gears in that config of a controller😅😅😅😅 true though
Just like Sony, Xbox is losing money every time they sell an Xbox so why not stop selling consoles and become a power house of a publisher? This would make them way more money but Sony not having competition will severely hurt the industry.
Once people look at the prices of cpus and more importantly gpus, they will say feck that. If you enjoy gamepass, series x is your best bet. Regardless if you can play the same games on ps5.
This is no different then being able to play a game on their phone. Putting these games on ps (at full price no less) is still money in Xbox’s pocket. These games are not coming day and date to other platforms it’s a year or several down the line.
No Alan Wake 2 hasn't sold well. It would've sold better if it had a PHYSICAL release. You guys really need to stop smh. Doesn't matter if it's inevitable, you video game media people are going to quicken the process with all your pro-alldigital nonsense.
It sold well and also would’ve sold better if it had a physical edition. Four people on a podcast are not gonna speed up the process of physical media going digital.
With no xbox exclusives, console gamers will just buy playstation hardware letting you play everything. This means Sony has no competition. This is really bad for consumers. Sony are desperate for more profit. With no competition Sony don't need to invest massive amounts in AAA exclusives. They can reduce the budget for their AAA games and will sell more copies with so many xbox players moved to playstation. They can also release less AAA exlusives. There is no pressure to reduce the cost of their hardware. There is no pressure to release new generations of console. It will be like waiting years and years for switch 2. They can also bring in unpopular changes sooner - like stopping all physical media. There is no pressure to be innovative. The huge backlash is because Microsoft have released infrequent and disappointing exlusives for a long time but they have constantly promised that great AAA exclusive experiences are coming. Trusting xbox promises and not buying a PS5 with it's higher quality UI, working trophy sytstem & world class exlclisives. Means xbox fans feel like they have sufferened for lies/false promises. That would make anyone angry.
It’s incredibly sad how soft people have become over the decades. Console wars is half the fun of being a gamer. Picking a side is not necessarily a bad thing. Not everyone has the time nor money to dedicate themselves to every game & platform in existence.
Everbody believes phil lying spencer he knows More than 4 games are Coming to playstation xbox cant even sell their own consoles and games which is sad and pathetic😮😮😮
A lot of people will just buy an Xbox after getting a taste of Xbox games on other platforms. This could really damage Sony and Nintendo if they don’t be careful.
win-win for the people with a playstation
Crazy to me that the Playstation podcast guys seem to understand why xbox players are upset better than the xbox podcast.
Ryan McCaffrey gets it. He just needs to find co-hosts who also get it.
You should watch the Defining Duke if you want to see some real Xbox fans talking about this
@@berealbud2963cool will looks em up
Not really

6:07 “is the problem sharing? Or is that other companies don’t share?” lol 😂

why would they talk that much about playstation on an xbox podcast you bafoon
Hey, thanks for rocking with us
We now have confirmation of an initial batch of 4 xbox games coming to other platforms.
Brian in the house, brap! Brap! 😎
Housemargue should make a Alienation 2 in third person 🙏🏼
Really appreciated Brian's analysis of all of this stuff this ep. Interesting perspective well articulated 👍👍

But there's barely any first party games.
@wilko9396 So....?
for a platform that supposedly "doesnt have any games" , its sure been funny to see all these sony fans get so obsessed over getting xbox titles all of a sudden.
Yeah after being salty about Xbox games like Indy etc
All these games! How do you guys find the time? + XBox games coming + FF7 Rebirth + Dragon's Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin coming. What a time to be alive!
Yeah I'll still be going through my 2024 backlog by the time the ps6 launches.
It's only a win win if it pushes sony to do the same
Yeah then truly all consumers win!
Lmao, why would they do that? There's no reason to do that.
@@sirmel11 money is and always will be the reason
Helldivers is in a rough state to be getting on this praise. Quick play is awful still a week after launch

This is a win for PlayStation and Nintendo 😂.
Its not even a for sure thing wait till Thursday.
Start port beginning boys sony has no big first party games until march 2025
When someone says a game feels weird on another system, you better believe they are talking from a position of privilege.
Anyone playing a $60+ video game on a $400+ box on a presumably good TV is "privileged" by that definition.
Lmao but Gears of War with those analog sticks next to each other on the Dualsense nah man doesn't feel right to play Gears in that config of a controller😅😅😅😅 true though
So childish that ign still censors cursing on air lol
Sony says "no first party titles from older IPs on PS5 until April 2025". What does everyone think about this?
Thats not what was said he said no existing titles meaning sequels their are new ips coming like concord
Can we at least get some old PS 4 games in return? lol
will give you Knack and the Order 1886
Travis nailed it.

No it’s not….why eliminate competition…so foolish
People are sleeping on skulls and bones.
If xbox games are comming to Playstaion. We need PS GAMES comming to xbox❤

Love these guys, great podcast
This is the most intelligent conversation I've heard about this topic. Thank you.
If they make forza on Playstation its over 🤣🤣🤣 and dont say they never will its 2024 anything can happen
Over for who?
@@nuno3887for OP, as he will have too many games to play now.
Forza horiazon 1 to 5 for PS5 and switch and Forza motorspot on PS5 and Switch
That will not happen probably only horizon 4, 5 and motorsport on ps5
That would kill Sony's Gran Turismo series
Phil already said they don't need Sony to make they money off call of duty....they doing cause it's the only way to pass the deal
Playstation is gonna end up funding Xbox AAA games. This is a genius move by Microsoft.
Hahaha 😂 Xbox fans grasping at straws over here lol
Most people have all 3 consoles if u like vid games anyways. Let's just make better games in general regardless of the game console.😢

PlayStation has no 1st party games til the middle of 2025 dude!!!😅😅
Yeah but they have interesting first party games.

Interesting that Xbox going semi-third party neatly dovetails with an apparent dearth in PlayStation first party games - nature abhors a vacuum…
Xbox as a distinct brand is clearly on the way out
A lot of people will just buy an Xbox after getting a taste of Xbox games on other platforms. This could really damage Sony and Nintendo if they don’t be careful.
Killer Instinct on PS5 please, and switch.
