Daemon and Rhaenyra line gave way to some of the best characters in the story line at this time and I’m not just talking about House Targaryen if you follow the bloodline.

Maybe it's no coincidence Targaryens began to see less silver hair and purple eyes after Daeron I married a Dornish princess, and his sons and grandsons following tended to marry outside the family (at least until Jaehaerys and Aerys).
Rhaegar fumbled a beautiful dornish wife and ruined the dynasty. Can't get dumber than that. RIP Elia and her children. Side note: Y'all think Daeron II was ugly? I'd like to think he was just lackluster compared to Daemon but not bad looking.

U definitely can’t blame Rhaegar for ruining the dynasty, there are far more liable candidates for that, Aegon ii, Rhaenyra, Aegon iv, Aerys ii, even Aegon V all played huge roles in the downfall of house Targaryen

They are some of my favorite characters and wish it had worked out for both of them. Imagine if the Blackfyres were a successful cadet branch that managed to create a bunch of members from the 9 children of Daemon and Rohanne of Tyrosh. They might have even been married into the House Targaryen to strengthen ties. To The King! 🍻

Now the real question. Would house martell apply dornish law and push rhaeny's to be rhaegar's heir? I think they would. Man this tumultous time in westeros with plots and schemes makes me all the more grateful robert threw a literal hammer at it all and solved so many problems.
Why would they push for rhenys? Aegon was set to be king after rhagar their blood would be on the throne regardless , the fuck do you mean? Robert didn't solve anything of anything made the political situation in westsros worse especially after his death .
