- House Blackfyre, the cadet branch of House Targaryen created by Daemon Blackfyre one of the legitimised bastards of King Aegon iv is as important in the years after the dance of the dragons as House Targaryen themselves. The black dragon rose up against the iron throne multiple times. The First Blackfyre rebellion tore the realm apart, ending with the death of Daemon Blackfyre on the red grass field. The second Blackfyre Rebellion also plays a huge role in the Dunk and Egg stories involving the likes of ser duncan the tall, King Aegon V and Bloodraven. The Black Dragon would plague Westeros even into the events just before the main books start and they may even play a role in the events to come in the winds of winter.

LONG LIVE HOUSE BLACKFYRE 🗡
FOREVER THE TRUE ROYAL FAMILY KINGS OF WESTEROS!!!!!!
The King Who Bore the Sword.
@@KaiHung-wv3ul 🗡
Good to see you again
BOOOOO! GET OFF THE STAGE!
@DaBloodRaven nah uh-huh boooooo you!!!!!
@@DaBloodRaven Ah, Lord Brynden, I have been expecting you.
"Beneath the gold, the bitter steel"
💛💛💛
The bittersteel
Blackfyres done 5 battles. All lost. Now they send a spy master. His plans are working.
For now but if there's anything gourge is consistent on is that plans and schemes rarely go as planned.
For the lord commander !
And for the brothers in black
For House Blackfyre!!!
Something I realized, Aegon the Unworthy is the grandson of Daemon & Rhaeyera…
It’s almost
As if he was born with both of their worst characteristic
The length of this video is something to behold !!!
Perfect for listening while doing housework cheers for the content..
Cheers to you hope you are well.
🖤
Big facts, he had their worst aspects
hearing or seeing the sword Blackfyre is so chilling knowing what happens years later after Aegon The Unworthy
The Black Dragon will rise again
“We don’t know how…. But Daemon was able to escape by secret means…. Daemon’s plans were not widely known…” I just put it together. IT WAS BLOOD RAVEN! “A brother that I loved. A brother that I hated.” We might assume he loved King Daeron and hated Aegon, or Daemon. But what if he loved DAEMON and hated AEGOR for persuading Daemon to rebel? Wouldn’t that be the kind of twist GRRM loves? Maybe aiding Daemon’s escape is what changed Bryden into a more of a Machiavellian character seeing that saving Daemon’s life did not one any favors….
Why is the ridge from which the Ravens teeth slew Daemon called the weeping ridge? Is it because Brynden wept?
betting 10 bucks that Daemon was the brother Bryndon loved, Aegor was the brother he hated, and Daeron was the brother he was loyal too.
Here comes my bedtime listening! Thanks again mate.
Wow 45 minutes.. For House Stark of Winterfell Wardens of the North🐺
It’s really hard to Dislike Daemon Blackfyre, he was largely content with his life and was pushed to rebel by the ambitions of other men, and by the gods was he a warrior worthy of the title Dragon even if he was a black one
Indeed, in the Dance of the Dragons, both Aegon and Rhaenyra were terrible, but it seems that both Daemon and Daeron were very good rulers.
@@KaiHung-wv3ul well, I’d say Daeron was probably the better ruler as a whole, he was after all called the good, but I think Daemon would have been a good strong king but also a generous one, just probably not as smart as Daeron was politically
Where is that Bittersteel Profile guy
I’m so well versed in the lore now thanks to you. I’m also currently reading A Game of Thrones. Thanks for all the info sir we APPRECIATE YOU SO MUCH
Im waiting for aegor to appear in the comments😂
Wait can you not see my comment?
I can’t find it Bittersteel
@billychops1280 noooooooo this is terrible how could it happen on this video of all videos.
Thank you for letting me
Sorry I am hijacking comment section because mine disappeared
LONG LIVE HOUSE BLACKFYRE 🗡
@@aegorbittersteel2154 o wait nvm man I just saw it, it was just hidden at first for some reason
I've started to think that bloodraven actually only killed one Blackfyre personally (Aenys). I think Daemon and his two oldest sons were killed by random archers, I think Daemon II died naturally in the black cells, Haegon was killed by Aerion, and of course Dunk killed Daemon III.
And daemon IV if you even call him that was killed by Maelys, another blackfyre and he himself was slain by another knight of the kingsguard, Barristan the bold. Maelys’s son Maenar was also killed by Maelys when he tried to bring back dragons. Gods I wish the other blackfyres were written about more.
THE KING WHO BORE THE SWORD
Thanks for the video
What I’ve been waiting for ❤
Thanks for keeping me company during my Sisyphean exercise regimen. I think I may throw a playlist on.
I’d love a video like this about the golden company
YES longform video
Keep up the good content
Now where is that certain Bitter dude whose goth half sister rejected him for their magical half brother emo twink 😂
Jokes aside had things gone perfectly House Blackfyre could've been the Targaryen's most loyal cadet house similar to the House Karstarks to House Stark.
Where is aegor, in his absence I shall take the Black
Awesome! Thanks. Keep up the good work
isn't it interesting that north didn't get involved in blackfrye rebellions.
Weren't they dealing with the island of Skagos and their rebellion?
Tbh they don't have a reason. Rebellions like the blackfyre cause would dissolve with Daemons death. By the time they mustered the troops, marched south and what not the war would be decided either way. Raising troops unnecessarily wastes food and needed manpower for taking in the harvest. The north exists in a state of razor thin subsistence farming, fishing and hunting
Do we think Bloodraven actually used magic arrows full of EVIL!!!!! or did Daemon and his two sons just die from random arrows fired from random archers?
I support the random archers idea btw.
Blood Craving
Or Craven
I'm pretty sure it was mentioned that Bloodraven specifically killed them, but as for the magic part I'm unsure, but it's certainly possible.
@@KaiHung-wv3ul but who said that? My question is how would we know for sure? A lot of arrows were loosed that day, and you're telling me it was specifically arrows that came from Bloodraven? That's a pretty convenient story is all I'm saying.
Oh man I wish I had this map. Please does anyone have a link to it?
Will be a great followup show after house of the dragon
given we are getting Dunk and Egg i 100% suspect they are laying the ground work for this after House Of The Dragon. I mean they could still call it House of the dragon if they wanted and make it an anthology
Is this all those small videos combined
some of the middle section is taken from the Daeron ii / Aenys i series with some stuff cut out to make it more focused, the opening section is new, The Great Council of 233 is different from the Maekar Series with much more focus on Bloodraven and Aenys rather than Aegon V, 4th Blackfyre Rebellion and War of Ninepenny Kings is new. i'd estimate 50/50 new and old.
House Baratheon heads the call
Nice
🏰🖤
Why did Aegor mistrust Daemon II’s dreams? Is it because he knew Blood Raven messed with dreams? Or did Blood Raven only mess with dreams later in life? Or was Daemon II just a dud and Aegor knew it?
Sucks they chose Civil War instead of being a loyal, crucial vassal house for their Dynasty
Long lives of rebellion!
I would like to hear on the side characters like fireball and bittersteel
Where did you find this map ?
I made it myself, once i fixed a few errors and typos there will be a link to it in video description
@@WorldOfWesteros oh then nice work love it !
“Cadet branch” = bastard branch
No one ever talks about maelys bastard son who rules bloodstone in the current time of GOT
Hey look a video about the traitors
I thought their house word was “The king who bears the sword”
i thought this for a long time, then i read somewhere it was Blood and Fire, but when i started making videos on House Blackfyre and dug into it there words seemingly have not officially been mentioned yet with 'the king who bears the sword' and 'Blood and Fire' apparently coming from the Crusader Kings 2 mod and that slowly seeping into the fandom. My best guess is it will be one of the two
House Peake are the worst
Peake performance
Why is daemon called daemon the first if he was never king and why do his heirs get numbers? Is it bc he was legitimized?
That is why they are called pretenders
i think it's more to do with a retrospective history thing, namely that there were three Daemon Blackfyre's and they needed a way to tell them apart.
More like House Trash Fire.
NO
😠
