    This is probably the most beautiful RUclips-vide I have ever seen. My father, from Norway, as I am from, asked for this tune to be played at his funfral this yar. Not noral, only musical. And as one of victiim of Germany in 1940-1945, also for him so good to see that Berlin is again the human and capital of Europe. Bravo.

    Very often , when I walk to my job through the streats of my city in the morning I imagine Mozart music in my head. That makes me very calm and energetic. This video reminds me on that.

    great and creative concept. The rose petal (to me) signifies the music love offering Mozart and the performer are giving to the world through the music. The performer looked at the world from high above and threw out the petal as an invitation to any sensitive soul to join and continue the music art. The fact that a little girls picked up the pedal makes the performer's point very clear... The music will live for generations to come...
    Very beautiful idea!!!

    What a wonderful video. I love how the child picks up the petal and carries it off. Classical music is something that all can love and cherish. A pinnacle of creative forms that when seriously shared with younger generations, is inevitably respected and becomes new again. Truly eternal. Great video.

      We don't need to 'SEE', classical music is all around the world, it is truly in the modern city life. But somebody sees it, other people ignore it. We don't need a fake music video to prove classical music is on the roof of a modern high building or then it so belongs to the 'modern city life'!

    The Toronto Star newspaper critic wrote that J.Lisiecki plays with crystal clear touch a velvety touch.How about that?? A.Rubinstein E.Gilels R.Lupu they played with a velvety touch.And the crystal clear players are M.Perahia and M.Pletnev(his Scarlatti sonatas C.P.E.Bach sonatas and Rondo) J.Lisiecki his worst playing is the first mvt of Chopin piano concerto no 2.My home town city libary have bought this record.I have a LP Radu Lupu playing Mozart piano concerto no 21 with a velvety touch!!!

    The tight-rope walker in Jan Lisiecki's Deutsche Grammophon video above of his building-top rendering and street-scene motis of Mozart's piano concerto,..not an idiot at all, lest you forgot the film from which these motifs are drawn, Elvira Madigan...

  • @d3poln
    @d3poln 11 лет назад

    I agree completely. What we can can hear is a technical mastered piece, but not a 'b' from the brilliancy of an interpretation. Student's work, clear, no phrasing, with none or with the limited emotions and depth. If this Mozart's CD was a pinnacle, his Chopin is even more apaling. Remember what was once said for the Alexander Brailowsky playing?

    Interesting on this recording, pianist Christian Zacharias, who has performed Mozart piano concertos and recorded them aplenty, is CONDUCTING now. Never has Zacharias been on DG. Still young, while well practiced, Lisiecki gives a lifeless D minor. The orchestral ensemble is beautiful. Stingy on time 59 minues for a CD. The Elvira Madigan theme here is treated in too "dainty" a fashion. Try Brendel for a energetic rendition.
