- Jan Lisiecki puts the spotlight on rarely recorded orchestral works by Chopin, the repertoire that became Lisiecki’s calling card and kick-started his international career.
These utterly compelling compositions crammed with exquisite melodies, youthful exuberance and dashing display were recorded in the studio with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, conducted by the Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbański. Jan’s sensitivity and musicality really suits the ‘fragile’ Chopin. Marvellously played!
I have just discovered this young pianist. He is so mature in his interpretation yet maintains a freshness in bringing out so many nuances of the composition. What a find!
He has a very sensitive and mild manner of playing that is rare and soothing. I would really love to listen to him playing Debussy and Medtner's Fairytales.
There is a very special, unique flare, a very elegant vibe about how this pianist conducts himself and plays the piano.
I love the way you play... your intelligence and Polish soul...

My Piano Instructor had me perform this work to a large audience when I was a teen. Though my stage-fright was intense, it was lost while my being became immersed in the beauty of this piece. Though sounding difficult, this work is actually pleasantly easy. I love 2:20, (approximately) in. I miss you, Olga!

Sin embargo, quisiera destacar de él no solo la calidad técnica trabajada de forma excelente, sino también, sus inmensos atributos interpretativos.

I first saw and listened to Jan playing this work a few months ago, when by chance I discovered his miraculous talent. He was 14 years old at the time and from the reverse angle views of the stage it appears it may have been for a competition. The exquisite performance one hears exhibits a leap in his virtuosic skills at the keyboard, but I miss the younger Jan for his body movements with the music. perhaps the outdoor film setting was a bit cool, temperature wise. But this studio recording is something to behold, serene, calming at peace in my personal world. Bravo Jan! ...Bravo!
La poésie de ce clip est excellente : la lumière, l'eau, le son, correspondent harmonieusement. La beauté de l'artiste et celle de l'Andante de Chopin touchent et reposent l'esprit, le coeur, l'âme de celui qui écoute. Il naît une amitié entre le pianiste et ceux pour qui il joue, c'est toute une communauté ; celle des amis de Jan Lisiecki ! Elle a certainement de l'avenir, même s'il faut laisser au pianiste la parfaite liberté de devenir professeurs de piano, s'il souhaite avoir une femme et des enfants. Après tout, c'est aussi grand qu'être concertiste, n'est-ce pas une autre manière de donner généreusement ? Merci !

風景非常好看 ! 結束時的黃昏氣氛更是迷人 ! 看到港口讓我想起以前我也曾做過基隆港的白描風景古典詩,自認用的點子還不錯😅 ; 而看到仿金字塔的現代建築,也忽然感應到,古代金字塔似乎都建在少雨之處!？古人根據祖傳經驗(？),誤認為尖端易引電,有雷電就會有雨水,殊不知這可能只是倒因為果的錯覺!？所以驗證失敗後,人們只好被迫撤離該貧脊之處,不知道有沒有猜錯？猜錯就糗大了😅

where is this beautiful location shot?
Hamburg, Germany. One of the buildings seen in the various background long shots is Hamburg's Philhamonic Orchestra Hall; It is easily identifiable for its roof composed of numerous undulating sharp, high peaks. Jan hinmself is playing the piano at the staircase of a newer, far more dramatic addition to Hamburg's low rise skyline, a harborside structure known as the Dockland's Office Building. A pity its side elevations could not have been captured.

Wow it’s in Hamburg, i”ve spent 3 months in Germany in 2018 but i was not able to visit Hamburg, never mine i’m planning to visit again my sister in Frankfurt in your summer next year and definitely i will include Hamburg and Munich in my lists, thank you again for the info you provided.
And also of course i love Jan one of the best pianists in his generation.
@@Restavit64 Hamburg has undergone a largely unnoticed revitalization over the past two decades. Its old harbor canals are no comparison to Venice, but still the restoration has been striking. Worth a visit. As for Jan Lisiecki, it's impossible not to love him. Of his three performances of the Andante spianato I've been able to find, it's difficult for me to determine which one is the best. Sometimes I think the 2009 recital is the one.

The very defintion of a music video. A taping of the studio recording for the CD, one camera or two, precisely what we are hearing, would have been to me infinitely more preferable. I could count all of the classical musical videos that are worth viewing on the fingers of one hand; thumb excluded of course.
