The US House of Representatives does most of the policy functions (economic, foreign relations, military) while the US Senate is mostly the administrative wing (confirming federal positions, hearings, etc.), although they both have to sign off on legislation for a bill to pass and both can initiate legislation (except for the federal budget; that has to originate from the House). The House functions as the voice for the people (for the first few decades of its history, a US citizen would only vote in state and local elections, and their only federal election would be to elect their representative) and the Senate functions as a voice for the states (they were nominated by their state's legislature until 1913 when the Constitution was amended to have senators be directly elected by their constituents).

As you did a cut off to remove outliers with the high population density (only allowing countries with over 10 million people) then you shouldn't do the same cutoff line for low density, instead you should make a maximum area (500 000 km^2) for example, that would remove the extremes to make a comparable list to the restricted high population density one.

Why don't you talk about Java Island? Are you forgot it?

Been watching ur videos for years and didn’t know u were Portuguese like me 🤣
how about a series about coat of arms?
Interesting that the US is still one of the less densely populated countries on earth (obviously not super sparse but still).
It might be useful to get up to date information, but Pat Buchanan (conservative writer and broadcaster) once claimed that the population density of India was about that of the US State of Pennsylvania.
great video!
Thanks!
I like how he can make the funniest/worst of puns with such a monotone voice.
As you did a cut off to remove outliers with the high population density (only allowing countries with over 10 million people) then you shouldn't do the same cutoff line for low density, instead you should make a maximum area (500 000 km^2) for example, that would remove the extremes to make a comparable list to the restricted high population density one.
If you look at density population of the US, you see population on east coast and west coast. As for interior, you can draw a line at 100 degrees. Because agronomy stipulated the line of good amount of rain for crops stop at 100th meridian.
The reason each US state has 2 senators regardless of population is that they represent the government of each state and it's interests to the president while the members of the house of representatives directly represent the people/voters in their districts which are determined by population.
If you compared im pretty sure your find that the world density map pretty much matches up with most of the ancient civilizations areas
3:35 why isn’t Vatican City on there it has a population of 825 people and area of 0.44km2 so 825 divided by 0.44 is 1875 so it should be between Malta and Bahrain
It’s 762 km2
Fun fact, the Vatican has the highest immigration rate in the world because 100% of its inhabitants are immigrants
@@zavproductions858 what do you mean
Perhaps becouse it isn't a part of the un.
Thé Vatican can is a permanent un viewer state as well with Palestine. The Vatican chooses not to be in the un as it’s a lot of work and stuff for a small population they were offered a seat but declined

Sup General; It'd be really cool to see another "what if" video.. such as, "What if every continent became a country?".
I was born in America, and lived in one of the denser populated Areas. I now live in Japan (ALT) and I still live in a densely populated area (not Tokyo, another area). But I love visiting areas that aren't as populated. I love taking pictures of the mountains and forests (as well as wild animals).
Actually, even living in a denser populated area, it's still awesome to see the juxtaposition of different things. Maybe it's just where I live, but I live in an apartment building, next to traditional Japanese houses, with a forest park, and a temple nearby. It's quite amazing!
Did I miss Greenland? Or did you? I mean - if you consider it part of Denmark, then our Danish population density is not on par with Czhekia anymore - and if you do not, then surely Greenland would take the 1st prize the least densely populated area?
Please don't just ignore the elephant in the room 😢
"Australia basically doesn't exist" I'm dying!
It's interesting to see how different population densities are.
That Tenchong line is fascinating.
Mongolia is the world's least densely populated country
But it doesn't meet the 10M+ population threshold (to filter out island nations and city-states).
That "Australia basically doesn't exist" phrase just killed me 😂😂😂
The tree biggest cities in México have the same (more or less) population than the entire Canadá, México city 24 million, Monterrey 5 million and Guadalajara 5 million. Crazy!
3:31 I never heard of that country, is it a popular place to visit?
2:09 Como português posso dizer que contribui para este mapa e não foi em Lisboa nem no Porto! 😌
Eu tmb não
I'm a simple Icelander, I see Iceland, I click ;)
Maltese person here! 🇲🇹
Australia granted independence to PNG and Nauru far too early. We left them to become third world states. We should have spent more time building the infrastructure so that they could be viable nations.
Hi, the regional divisions in the two Portugal political maps you show around minute 12:20 have different inner divisions, why is that? Greetings from Catalonia
Just to say I know other Examples
Speed = Distance/ Time
Distance = Speed × Time
Time = Distance/ Speed
But of course there are Many Examples
I excluded but anyways Great Video

Why was the Great Britain missing from the map of Europe at 1:23 ?
I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I assure you 1,000,000 of us do not live on an ice sheet and it was 33 degrees Celcius today
Our US Congress has two houses: the Senate, which has 2 people per state, and the House of Representatives, which has a variable number of people per state based on population. The two parts of Congress thus balance out the needs of interstate equality and overall population. No reforms required. :)
Very nice video

Population density in my house is more dense near TV and sparse in study room.
I am Maltese like you mentioned in the video we are ver densely populated. Due to our religion we had families for example my great grand parents had 12 children and the other more but that is not the case. In 1950s to 1970s a lot of Maltese have emigrated due to no work in fact in 2021 in Australia there are about 100 000 people that are of Maltese descendant.
The main problem is immigration where people from mainly Italy Syria and Serbia come live here
thanks for the video.👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Love to Kurdistan, from Israel! 🇮🇱
As a maltese,i can confirm we have more people than iceland (i mean thw thumbnail)
9:08 ~> Is because of it that, in Portugal, 'Malta' means 'a group of people' or 'a lot of people. Exemple: 🇵🇹"Olá malta!" = 🏴Hello guys! *&* 🇵🇹"Aqui, há muita malta." = 🏴Here, there are a lot of people.
im from norrland (the northern 60% of sweden), norrland has only a population of about 1.1 million people making it about 4.5 people per km2 thus placing it only above australia and canada
edit: but that list might have been only places with over 10mil people
