The Portuguese Empire, unlike, say, Spain, didn't discriminate subjects based on geographic origin (it did on many other grounds, but that's another story). Plus, the term Brazil, back then, was used mostly as a general denomination for a poorly defined geographical area, much in the way we say The Guyanas, the Caribbean or the Southern Cone nowadays. In all likelihood, de Gusmão never thought of himself as being anything other than a Portuguese from São Vicente/São Paulo.

A country like that would be extremly diverse and weak, so i think it would be better for it to have more autonomy in Brazil (Yes, even if it ruins the federal spirit). The guianan state however, would actually be Venezuelan majority, which would probably mean that it has a really short lifespan. Out of that, not really much to complain about. Yes, the borders within Argentina and Chile could have been more detailed, but argentinian losses aren't really dramatic, while Chile's losses are crippling, but very survivabe (There is a huge legal problem with giving Colesuyo to Bolivia, but Peru isn't really able to do anything about it. South Peru may complain, but just that. I would have given Bolivia sea somewhere else, but nothing too dramatic). Overall, the map is alr.
As an Argentinian I understand the spirit of your game when you cut away parts of my country but you made a mistake when you talked about the referendum in Malvinas. Those types of referendums only have value when you're polling the indigenous peoples of a territory. Malvinas was uninhabitated when discovered so they have NO indigenous people. England is polling the people that they themselves put in the islands. The answer is obvious.

We have our unique words, phrases and customs. Although I have permanent residency in Brasil I feel more Gaucho than Brasileiro.

Hooray for Riograndense! I am an American who now lives in Rio Grande do Sul. The three southern states also have a distinctly different culture than the rest of the country. We have our unique words, phrases and customs. Although I have permanent residency in Brasil I feel more Gaucho than Brasileiro.

of course some people are getting mad about fictional content. but these videos are great just the way they are and have to stay - unchanged. even if i´m not on board with every idea, his videos gave me new ideas and things to consider. there are probably millions of ideas out there on how to change and redraw borders. and who knows how the world´s borders might lokk in 10, 20, 50 or 100 years from now?

i would be completely on board to split Brazil into a dozen smaller countries, and to turn everything west of the Tocantins river into an Amazonian Protectorate... a huge national reserve, where only indigenous people would be able to live in (without modern technology). Keep everything united with an union similar to the Europeuan Union, with the other LATAM countries as well.

Hello, not sure if you are aware, the automatic dubbing is activated by default on your channel so if your international viewers do not want to hear some AI voice over your original audio track, they have to change the setting every time manually since YT doesn’t allow viewers to deactivate it and only content creators can do it, it is extremely frustrating to hear the AI dub and am forced to change back the language every single time, more accessibility is not bad per se obviously but it should be not by default and should be the other way around
