While i disagree that a story driven single player experience like Mass Effect needs a MP mode, it's actually pretty well made and decent, i found my self addicted to it after playing the shit out of ME3 in multiple difficulties and across different characters from the previous 2 games. To this day i still play the ME3 MP mode on 360 and PC.
This was some of the better co-op experience I had. Wasn't to happy about getting weapons and characters from pack. I though it might have been interesting if we unlock the character after getting related assets in story mode.
I think they avoided the assets thing because they didn't want that impacting your choices for example maybe you didn't want to cure the genophage but hold up you really want to play as a krogan so you do it anyway
I honestly really liked the packs, you get them enough that you never have to buy them, and it honestly feels like its just a leveling up part of the game
@gamingdevil800 In Mass Effect 1, you had your entire team within the first 3 hours of the game unless you put off rescuing Liara until the end. In Mass Effect 2, the entire purpose of the game was building a team for the final mission. As far as we're aware, in Mass Effect 3, you'll more or less have most of your team available fairly quickly on and it'll focus primarily on the conflict against the Reapers. The only game centered on building a team was 2.
I have been waiting ever since ME1 to play multiplayer with my friends Its just such a great universe and with this Bioware has made it even better! consider me a day 1 buyer!
I love Mass Effect for its Campaign, but I will admit, this Multiplayer look amazing. It looks as if they've put in as much effort into the Multiplayer as the do for the Campaign's storyline. I cannot wait.
Looks freaking nice. I don't usually get excited for MP but that looked good. If they can keep a 30-40 campaign in the mix that's been in the last 2 games then I'm definetely sold.
@Domanese Slightly mistaken. The N7 weapons (shotgun, Pistol, Sniper, SMG) come in the N7 edition. Preordering gets you the heavy armour and N7 assault rifle.
@QGfk1 You thought wrong. Some races can can certain classes. Each class, you pick either human male, human female or two other races. You pick from the races given in that class. Also the other races have different powers.
Need to say that it's pretty fun to play the multiplayer. While i have no friends that plays ME3 i been lucky enough to get in servers with people who helped me since i was level 1. I had no idea of what i was doing(i'm only playing Solider as i kind of know that class from the SP and i like that class) and often got downed i still redeemed myself by being the one who took the enemy fire so the others could revive or get an intel before the enemies noticed. That has been my role since then. I always rush to try to take an objective or revive an teammate, or i be the one that takes the heavy hitters aiming at me such as the Atlas, Banshee, Brutes and Scion. However the mode does get boring quickly but if you stop playing it for like 1.
@UltimaCINC It's the one to the left with the red armor, it's really only a spoiler if you know what you're looking at but the character has been leaked none the less.
@wm927 I think there might be two or three classes available for each race. My memory's fuzzy, but I think I recall a source saying that for asari you could either pick adept or vanguard, for salarians you could pick either engineer or infiltrator, etc.
@Zain844 When you think about it the demo/beta is on February 14th, and the multiplayer part of it lasts till the game comes out. Kind of cuts the wait in half.
@panzerking1 Interestingly enough, a list of Mass Effect 3 achievements has been officially released...and you can get one of the achievements if you kill a brute while he's in the middle of charging at you.
@Mordio91 false u won't get any bonus thing for the multiplayer segment, one of it's purpose is to achieve the best ending possible which is also possible by not playing multiplayer too. It's an option, nothing else.
@Ekaros Well the fact that you actually see your decisions from ME1 carried over and effect ME2 storyline, I think I can safely say that the decisions you made in 1 and 2 will carry over and effect ME3
I played with a guy who was using a Volus Mercenary character. The little automatic one-liners were hilariously psychotic. It was all very amusing and awesome,
@davehowellman The difference is ME1 was not about building a team, the main story line was to stop Saren from doing whatever he was planning. You just built a team on the way. See I understand but what you need to understand is that the Mass Effect series is designed to be 3 act each game being 1 Act. For Narrative Storytelling Act 1 is about bringing the viewer/audience into the world Act 2 is suppose be about Character development of key players and Act 3 is the climax.
@Gabsterssss That chick is an enemy phantom. You'll run into her at higher waves, if she stabs you like that you can't revive for the rest of the wave.
@gamingdevil800 Actually Mass Effect 1 was never about building a team. You just happen to make a team while doing the main storyline, which is Stop Saren. ME2 is all about building a team because its a very character driven story, which as I stated before, WHAT ME2 IS SUPPOSE TO BE Because ME2 is ACT2. And anyone that has taken a narrative storytelling class will tell you ACT 2 is always suppose to be the character development section. ME3 is all about the final conflict
@davehowellman there actually wasnt much to do after you were done in ME1 than drive around on random planets (nobody did that) and finish all the side quests. and while there were more side quests in ME1, the side quests in ME2 were more detailed and longer, with cut scenes as opposed to the "Go into the same house and kill all the mercs/geth" in ME1. ME2 actually had more post game content than ME1 (unless, again, you enjoy driving around on random planets.)
@telekiller7 Co-op with some special integration in to the single player, but you can still get the full game experience from single player even without the co-op bonuses.
@Archris17 I doubt it, the briefings by Shepard are almost certainly from the single player story, BioWare are just being naughty and putting them into a multiplayer trailer. The multiplayer will just be players mindlessly killing enemies without any storyline. Fun for a bit, but it will likely get dull quickly.
@MultiFreaknik Correction, they send an armada to capture the point the 4 people are holding. They sent a fleet of Reapers against me, and I'm still here!
HOLY CRUD . . . . its as good as they said . . . i didnt understand what they meant by it being linked to the success of your single player, but this gives a but of a hint, can't wait for feb 14th
I wasn't too excited about Mass Effect 3's multiplayer... But if I'm right in my thinking here, we get briefed by SHEPARD?! HOLY-! YES! SIGN ME UP! I'M IN! Special forces all the way!
That'd require whole new animations and skeletons. Even the Volus character used the same animations and skeletons as all the other characters. It's not BioWare ignoring fans or being lazy, it's just that when there are so many other unique races and characters to play as, creating whole new skeletons for a tenticled, floating alien and a race than runs on all fours, plus new walking, running, shooting, melee, dodge and ducking animations for those two races takes up valuable development time.
@a0classcriminal that's because ME2 is not made to be a stand alone game. Its Part 2 of a 3 Act Trilogy. It was clear as day that ME2 story was simply to set up what was to come with ME3 but that doesn't mean the story overall wasn't great. And it had by far the best character development from squad members compared to ME1
@Mordio91 i agree, the weapon/ power management is better on pc. However, my computer is slow so I need the 360 version to really feel the tension of combat and to keep the framerate buttery smooth
@ubermaster94 The multiplayer works right now if you got special privileges, or if you have Battlefield 3 and have activated the online pass. If not either of these, ur shit outta luck til the 17th(i think), cuz that's when the multiplayer opens for everyone who has the demo.
@feliciano2040 it's like essentialy a brute force biotics class..where the other biotic classes like adept would use powers like singularity to make enemies vulnerable to attack, sentinals use powers like Biotic Charge (and the shotgun doesn't hurt either) to close in on enemies and absolutely destory them
@epicwoolstar Don't patronize me, get it? I reprogrammed them in ME2 as well. However, in this trailer and other Mass Effect 3 trailers there are Geth fighting against Shepard and other anti-Reaper soldiers. While I do not know their motivation, it outwardly appears that the Geth will be an opposing force in Mass Effect 3, but perhaps in a limited capacity.
@Domanese i saw on the website for ME3 it said that for the UK you have to preorder at game and i said you get the n7 armour and 2 weapons with the normal order
@epicwoolstar I am perfectly chilled. And yes, that it what is most likely to be happening in terms of the Geth, as there may be separate "platforms" of Geth who have no knowledge of Legion and Commander Shepard's rewriting of their brethren.
@ItIsTheInvisibleMan The gaming world needs more people like you and I. Too many immature children run around and fly of the handle with hate for the sake of hating, and let us not forget the pseudo-intellectuals. Single player will always be first on my gaming checklist but I will never condemn mp if it is fun and contributes to the game.
@sandercohen1 Yeah, the first two games are awesome, you can get them at a low price. Plus you will be able to experience those three game with the same shepard meaning all the decision come from you and not the canon
@MartialArtsMaster This video is just to show off a party and the races, these aren't the specific setups for each race. I'm fairly certain each race can be any class.
@JJO117 I play as a male in Mass Effect, never felt right paying as a female,I honestly dont like the armor in Mass effect 3,mainly because of the shoulder pads but I think the weapons are preety cool.I understand if you dont like space games.I used to think space games were for nerds and played COD all day.But now mass effect has become my favourite game of all time. Its funny how things change :D
@Gabsterssss That's a phantom. You can't actually play as them. That's just a scene of the player getting owned by one. Misleading, I know. When I first saw this trailer I thought you would be able to play as them to.
I'm interested to see how crazy the Krogan husks will be, seeing as the Turian ones are already monsters. Quarian husks would be interesting, too. Something makes me think they'll act like the Geth Ghosts of ME. Drell, Volus, Elcor, and Salarian husks? Any suggestions?
God. All these memories. Hard to believe its already been well over 3 years.
It's nine now. And it's still pretty good.
it's 2015 and i still have the feels for ME and still play the shit out of MP. never forget.
Same :)
Agreed, just unlocked the juggernaut, its time to face tank >:D
Lol, now it still have a player xD
@@desolator4662 still playin
While i disagree that a story driven single player experience like Mass Effect needs a MP mode, it's actually pretty well made and decent, i found my self addicted to it after playing the shit out of ME3 in multiple difficulties and across different characters from the previous 2 games. To this day i still play the ME3 MP mode on 360 and PC.
And now they've removed it in the Legendary Edition. Such a bad decision, it was really fun and unique and this trailer summed it up perfectly.
This was some of the better co-op experience I had. Wasn't to happy about getting weapons and characters from pack. I though it might have been interesting if we unlock the character after getting related assets in story mode.
You're right, the multiplayer was fun, especially with friends but the packs made it feel like a £2 mobile game which was really demeaning.
This looks so good. I cant tell you how many times I wish I could play as a different race. I never thought i would get the chance. Thank you Bioware!
I don't care what anyone says about the multiplayer I got to play as a Krogan and that made me happier than Conrad Verner when he sees Shepherd
by far the best mass effect trailer ever made!
Thing i love about EA is that they know how to make a good trailer.
Thing I hate about EA: Everything else
@gamingdevil800 In Mass Effect 1, you had your entire team within the first 3 hours of the game unless you put off rescuing Liara until the end. I cannot wait.
@PolishCatholic1 This is co-operative multiplayer, which also links in with the single player and changes the main storyline
Multiplayer is so awesome. I hope the cooperative have more gameplay's mode and really much maps, on the known and new locations.
Looks freaking nice. I don't usually get excited for MP but that looked good. If they can keep a 30-40 campaign in the mix that's been in the last 2 games then I'm definetely sold.
I'm so glad that they came out with mass effect games. :)
@Domanese Slightly mistaken. The N7 weapons (shotgun, Pistol, Sniper, SMG) come in the N7 edition. Preordering gets you the heavy armour and N7 assault rifle.
This is going to be AWESOME!!!!
The gameplay is actually amazing
I.....AM....KROGAN!
dan roberts "FOR TUCHANKA!!!" *goes on a melee killing spree laughing all the way*
keelah se´lai!!
I don't need luck I have ammo
I don't think I've ever been this excited for a game
I just can't stop watching this
BEAST!!! i cant wait

@TheOnlySonicFan The only species that can SMELL their greatness!
I have to admit, i wasnt too thrilled when i heard about Mass Effect multiplayer, but this . . . looks really good.
It actually looks fun and kinda revolutionary. L4D2 type survival gameplay with power skills. Sounds reaaally fun!
@Mordio91 false u won't get any bonus thing for the multiplayer segment, one of it's purpose is to achieve the best ending possible which is also possible by not playing multiplayer too. It's an option, nothing else.
What a great birthday gift of my month
Loving it! Quality video, can't wait to get my hands on a Krogan in MP. =D
It was all very amusing and awesome,
0:45 awesome Drell, be playing as one of those, and thats put my hopes up for Thane being in the campaign
0:47
"sentinal".

@Cavalier100 I used to be a commander like you, but then this is my favourite meme on the internet.
@Gabsterssss That chick is an enemy phantom. You'll run into her at higher waves, if she stabs you like that you can't revive for the rest of the wave.

@Aurewing If your into importing saves from the previous games then I suggest getting it on the Xbox 360 since you have Mass Effect 1 and 2.
@Mills997 Actually, Bioware IS having a team of their own on the multiplayer task, their offices based in Montreal ^.^
I'll admit i had my doubts but this looks amazing. :D
@SeaJayRiley Agreed.
Of course, either way, this game is going to kick ass.
@GaltarDude1138 The MP in ME3 is 100% Cooperative play. It is story driven multiplayer.
If this is anything like horde mode in Gears, I'm gonna love it!
It's surprising how enjoyable multiplayer is on Mass Effect 3
@davehowellman
there actually wasnt much to do after you were done in ME1 than drive around on random planets (nobody did that) and finish all the side quests. and while there were more side quests in ME1, the side quests in ME2 were more detailed and longer, with cut scenes as opposed to the "Go into the same house and kill all the mercs/geth" in ME1.

I like how they send a couple enemeis at a time for shepard and like an armada after 4 unknown people
@telekiller7 Co-op with some special integration in to the single player, but you can still get the full game experience from single player even without the co-op bonuses.
@Archris17

Still holding the line in 2024. Remember Virmire. Remember Captain Kirrahe. Remember the Normandy.
AWESOME.
@B9Killer Well I didn't know that and hopefully it's true. Also ME was about 50+hours but i would say ME2 was about 15-20 (not counting DLC)
To the people that don' realize it: 9-3-12 is D/M/Y, it still comes out March 9th American time.
0:47 They spelled "Sentinel" as "Sentinal"
i was wondering what other enemies you could fight against. Looks epic
I wasn't too excited about Mass Effect 3's multiplayer... But if I'm right in my thinking here, we get briefed by SHEPARD?! HOLY-! YES! SIGN ME UP! I'M IN! Special forces all the way!

@stroudify pretty sure it's vanguard b/c of biotics, although there are supposed to be biotic grenades, so who knows.
@a0classcriminal that's because ME2 is not made to be a stand alone game. Its Part 2 of a 3 Act Trilogy. It was clear as day that ME2 story was simply to set up what was to come with ME3 but that doesn't mean the story overall wasn't great. @Zain844 Kaiden's old mentor in biotic training was a turian.(ME1)
Oh this one will so pleased if this one can play as Blasto
I was worried about this part of the game they added, i thought it may ruin the franchise, but this trailer has changed me! Damn!
@killerX7565
You can't get the demo now; it won't be released until February 14th. On that date, you'll be able to use Origin to download the demo.
@feliciano2040 it's like essentialy a brute force biotics class..where the other biotic classes like adept would use powers like singularity to make enemies vulnerable to attack, sentinals use powers like Biotic Charge (and the shotgun doesn't hurt either) to close in on enemies and absolutely destory them

well, all my doubts are gone. if shepard gives me and my bros a pep talk, im already cool with that.
@Soaringeagle78 this is just the beta. there might be more in the full version! :)
Only got ME2 a couple weeks back, my aim is to complete it before the demo's release- GAME ON!
@sandercohen1 Yeah, the first two games are awesome, you can get them at a low price. Plus you will be able to experience those three game with the same shepard meaning all the decision come from you and not the canon

That Asari's dodge was sexy as hell!
@ReconSpartan1171 I dont think so, i think it's more like you get to chose race and class before the co-op match
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
Awesome. I only wish that hannar can be playable in the future too, since Zaeed and Thane say that they can and even are be lethal in combat.
@Aurewing 360. I know, the online community is kind of lousy, but transferring your original Shepard from the first game is definitely worth it.
@PolishCatholic1 its optional so please don't hate on people who actually want to play it
@ffinfinity1 Again the reason why is because ME2 is suppose to be the character driven story section of the trilogy
Badass!!!!!!!!!!
(Been sold since mass effect 1)
ending krogan charge LIKE A BOSS
That Asari Vanguard was bad ass...
So I get to kick ass as a turian, but meanwhile my fellow krogan is headbutting all the other guys? AWWWWWWWWWWW YEAHHHHHH!!!!
@Gabsterssss
That's a phantom. You can't actually play as them. That's just a scene of the player getting owned by one. Misleading, I know. When I first saw this trailer I thought you would be able to play as them to.
Maaaan. I won't be able to get past the screen where I have to choose my species...THEY ALL TOO COOL!
Turian, Human, Asari.
IN that order.
Im gonna die of excitement before March 6th arrives
I'm interested to see how crazy the Krogan husks will be, seeing as the Turian ones are already monsters. Quarian husks would be interesting, too. Something makes me think they'll act like the Geth Ghosts of ME. Drell, Volus, Elcor, and Salarian husks? Any suggestions?
I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of Asari players.
