- Check out the latest trailer for an exciting look at the voiceover cast in Mass Effect 3. Martin Sheen reprises his role as Illusive Man along with other fan favorites like Seth Green, Keith David, and Jennifer Hale. Jessica Chobot makes her in-game debut as Diana Allers, and Freddie Prinze Jr. is Shepard's latest recruit, James Vega.

Sheen was brilliant as the Illusive Man. His voice fit perfectly. Really they did a great job with the cast all around.
Weird how I still haven't seen Brandon Keener (Voice of Garrus) being interviewed yet about his roles throughout the series.
He was busy with some calibrations.
Jeniffer Hale voice is so calming..

Should've replaced her with Garrus or even Male Shepard's VA least they might've had something worth saying .Or Mordin's so we could wonder if he'll sing
Honestly Allers just cheated us out of having Emily Wong on the Normandy which was clearly the initial angle. So mad.

Waste of time and Allers as a war asset has little contribution. I wish they gave the extra time for Kelly Chambers. She was hela underrated.

They don't even have Male Shepard's VA in here. It was mostly the female characters that got spotlighted. They even put Jessica Chobot in.

@TFlynnVideo immersion. Most people who love ME2 did not care for the missing rpg elements, they just played the game, let it draw them in. However, it's being fixed in ME3 to find a balance between the two games. The major reason they haven't covered this with marketing is because of PR and the issue people had with ME2 marketing (spoilers)
That would be Michael Hogan. He voices Captain Bailey in Mass Effect 2 & 3. Also known for playing Colonel Tigh in Battlestar Galactica.

If it makes you feel any better, the "Diana Allers" character that Jessica Chobot plays is not a squadmate; she's just a reporter, just like Emily Wong and Khalisah Bint-Sinan al-Jilani were just reporters and not squadmates.
I really don't see why people are complaining about Jessica Chobot; I met her at one of the Halo ODST events she was covering in Vancouver. Not only was she really cool and nice to fans, but she does play these games. I know it's rare, but she really is steps above those standard 'prompter reading hot chicks'.

@TurkeyJones91 They use a translator, I think it's in the omni--tool. There has been reference, not sure if in the game/codex of being unable to understand certain Batarian dialects and such.

They could make so much more money with this franchise, to stop now would be stupid. There will be at least an ME4, maybe a 5 and a 6.

Personally I like male and female Shepard equally, and I have an equal amount of playthroughs of both genders I'm going to import to ME3.
However, I should point out that according to a Cinema Blend and VG 24/7 poll, only 18% of players actually use a female Shepard. They're just much more vocal about it than the male players.
I refuse to serve the aliiance and defeat the reapers unless I have a certain set of quarian hips on my ship!
Martin Sheen not done yet? Maybe a prequel for mass effect? First contact war maybe?

When I first watched this video before ME3 was released, it gave me goosebumps and filled me with excitement in anticipation of the game. Watching it after seeing the series come to such a disappointing and unrefined end is saddening; thinking what could have been, had EA not placed such a stranglehold time constraint on BioWare.

Thane was the only angsty one, and yes, Yhatzee actually does offer legitimate complaints, what you said is often said by people who cannot handle said complaints. But I guess you ignored everything in the game because you were too distracted by the game not having an inventory.

Jessica Chobot works for one of the most biased game news media out there, IGN, a corporation infamous of buddying with game studios. Journalist ethics are extremely low over there. Their reviews are poorly constructed and they tend to give more favorable scores to bigger and richer studios, while being jerks to lesser known studios. Why acknowledge that poor game studios might have the occasional good idea when there's no money to be made? (I can name examples if you ask, but I feel we're getting off topic enough as it is)
Jessica Chobot became famous for licking Play Station Portable (feel free to google), so EA or BioWare figured she now has the voice acting skills to match Seth Green and Martin Sheen. Ooor, maybe BioWare just wanted more favors with IGN in hoping for some guaranteed, great reviews.
So when Jessica's character introduces herself as a fair and unbiased news anchor in Mass Effect 3, most players chuckle and shake their head. An informed player guesses there are some sad artists at BioWare who vomited when they learned they had to include an IGN employee into their 'work of art'. The more I think of it now, looking back at Bioware's track record, this was probably a result of EA meddeling because BioWare has never done something this stupid before on their own, aside from the ending I suppose, but now I'm speculating, so I'll call it quits here.

I love James. There was always a rivalry between him and Shepard. Martian Sheen is perfect as the illusive man. Anybody would think they cast him, then made the character.
Ali Hillis does, Liara's voice, Lighting's, Claire Redfield, and many more. What a great talent she is.
affter watching the anime Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, I have so much more respect for Vega
Problem with Vega is that his character is suddenly already in Shepard's life. There is no introduction of the character to the player, he's seemingly already familiar and even friendly with Shepard, but then he do things that anyone following Shepard wouldn't dare to do. Questioning Shepard before Mars, getting into confrontation, etc. He's 'bad' because we misunderstood him.

The vast majority of my play-throughs of the Mass Effect trilogy have been with female Commander Shepard because of just how GOOD Jennifer Hale's voice acting was for the character. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Mark Meer and being a dude, I'd rather be playing a male character but Mark's voice acting is much more flat for lack of a better term, it's more rigid and it doesn't always convey the right amount of emotion, or vocal inflection, etc. I always used to play a Male Shepard when I first discovered Mass Effect. But then on a whim, I made a female character in ME2 and I was amazed at what I perceived to be a huge leap in quality, in terms of the voice acting for the character. The emotions of each scene she was in came through much more clearly and it felt extremely grounded in reality. Like what a real person would be thinking and how they'd talk in certain situations, where as male shepard was more stoic, and almost robotic in pretty much every situation, whether it was humorous, serious, sad, angry, etc.
So yeah, that reason alone pretty much forces me to play fem-shep whenever I replay the trilogy which is at least once every 6 months it seems lol. Jennifer Hale did a fantastic job and female Shepard will go down as one of my absolute favorite female video game protagonists ever.
