GTA V - Rhino Tank Storage (Grove Street Garage)

- The Rhino Tank can be stored in Franklin's Grove Street Garage (a bonus given to those who have the Collector's Edition of GTA V, the Beach Bum Update or a gamertag linked to a Rockstar Social Club account) with a little trick. (Michael and Trevor will also get their own garage in Vinewood and Pillbox Hill, respectively. This video was captured early on in the game, before Franklin's second mission, before Michael and Trevor become available.)
When pulling up to the Grove Street garage door in the Rhino Tank, a message will display indicating that this vehicle cannot be stored. The trick is to exit the tank upon receipt of that message, which will then display the notification to press right on the directional pad to enter the garage. When this is displayed, immediately enter the tank and press right on the directional pad when the character is in the tank, and before the message disappears. If timed correctly, the game will finish loading the garage interior and the Rhino will be there, as shown in this video.
NOTE: With the latest update, the garage trick of storing vehicles will not work. To solve this, delete the title update and play offline.

At first tank was on hanger after an update it was stored on garage is there any other way that we can store it in hanger? Pls tell me ...when selecting special vehicles ....my current vehicle which was on the spawn place just dissapears

It showed it to me but i went to Trevor and bought it, then I went to the hangar it didn’t show "Rhino Tank"
Happened to me I closed gta v and open it and it got refunded

carl elgario If you are on last gen, you should be able to store it there, but you'll have to delete the latest title update and play offline. (The developers patched the "garage trick" with the current title update.) Haven't tested on new gen, so I am unsure if you will be able. And, sorry for the late response.
My tank was stored in the los santos international airport hangar which micheal buyed
But i played offline

+tim Pobega Sorry for the late response. On PS3, if you are able to delete the latest title update and play offline (without updating GTA V), then it should still work.

Morbo Zim Sorry for the late reply. As for storing vehicles using the "garage trick" on new gen, I believe the developers patched it. For last gen, deleting the latest title update and playing offline works.
EKGene Thanks, I learned the hard way it was patched out after anout 3 hours of trading tanks and buying garages. Just kept a "carnage" save file now for when I want to destroy! :)

Yeah will it works on michael and trevor garage? After the newest patch update it doesnt work
+Made Dharma If you are on last gen, you can still get it to work by deleting the latest update and playing offline. (I believe this doesn't work on current gen.) Trevor's garage should work, but Michael's will pose a few issues, as there's not really a lot of space to navigate some of the larger vehicles.

How did you get that "select a special vehicle " ?
+Patrik Vajgel That prompt should pop up automatically while in your Story Mode character's personal garage. If you press [right] on the d-pad upon receiving that message, a list of vehicles from the various DLCs should show. Also, sorry for the late response.

+Patrik Vajgel The version shown in the video is old gen (Xbox 360). It's quite possible that the current gen versions don't have this. (I haven't played much current gen Story Mode, so I can't confirm.)

+Patrik Vajgel The "press [right on the d-pad] to select a special vehicle" message should just show up a few moments after you enter a personal garage for one of your Story Mode characters. If you press it, you can select from the Collector's Edition vehicles (if you have the Collector's Edition of GTA V) or the numerous vehicles provided through the various DLC/updates.

+John Clement Cequna With the most current title update, the "garage trick" used to store larger vehicles like the Rhino tank in personal garages will not work.
If you delete your title update and play offline, so that your console doesn't prompt you to download the latest GTA V title update, then you should be able to perform the vehicle storage trick.
I tried & didn't work. Not sure what special effects you did to make this video. But it's garbage.

+Agustin Brianese If you are playing Story Mode, and you have unlocked the ability to purchase properties and own the airstrip or hangar, I believe you should have received some notification on your in-game phone upon delivery of the vehicle. Maybe, select the character that you purchased the Rhino Tank with, and check that character's emails on their phone? Not sure what else to do.
If you are referring to Online, then after purchasing the Rhino Tank, you will receive a text message from Pegasus when your Rhino Tank becomes available for delivery.
