Watching this using my HP Victus 15 that i upgraded to 16 gb of ram awhile ago. Satisfied.
Probably should have disconnected the battery connector first :P
why? I just repeated what he did? Should I be concerned that I did not remove the battery before upgrading the rams? The laptop is working fine though
imo you should definitely remove the battery Incase of electrical issue chances are 50/50

@@AliHaider-bg3vv if you are unlucky, your laptop can get static electricity between your hand and the motherboard circuit, AND THAT'S DEADLY FOR YOUR LAPTOP
Can I just switch the ssd and boot up? I have windows 11 already on the OS. Does it mess with any of that? If so how do I proceed?
your windows 11 was installed in your old ssd, so when you change the old ssd, the new one does not have win 11 inside, you should buy it or install it for free(watermark)
Bro content was good however you were in a hurry so you did some mistakes. Before doing all this you should have first Copied the current windows to your new SSD. Then during the dissembling process don't go just touch the motherboard with the fingers like that, if u had even a slightest static electricity on your body, that may fry the motherboard. Remove the battery connection before replacing anything. Then do the upgrade. After upgrade then reconnect the battery, screw it back, turn it on. Then everything will be ok.
How would you 'copy the current windows to your new ssd' like you mentioned?
@@MemKlutz In my case Hp Victus 16 e0352ax 0f 2023 144 Hz i have 2 ssd slots max to 2 tb and 2 ram slots . So i got 512 GB preinstalled so i added a 1 tb ssd nvme m.2 matching the specs to my motherboard. No need to shift the Windows as i dnt require to do that.

on a USB install Windows 11 and connect it when you already have everything installed and then start the computer via USB and install the operating system on the SSD

I have one as well you have to replace the one inside for a new one. There's space for an extra one labeled and everything, but HP decided not to put connectors there guessing for price.

Upgrading the ram should work fine with no issues

@@xkazxuto8655you should worry about ram because they have some specs, but as of ssd you must have bootable usb with any windows os ready, it's easy and very basic knowledge

Mate, couldn't add second ssd on this laptop? There is mention SSD - 2.
Unfortunately, in that model it only comes with one SSD since the other one, even if you try to solder what is missing, the board will not recognize it. Researching that model is like that from the manufacturer, so if you want more space you have to replace what it has with a 1TB or 2TB

The SSD which comes with the brand new laptop will have the operating system (windows 11), if you had to remove that and upgrade with a new SSD what happens to your original windows?

they have all the pcie lanes and even the exposed wires ,but decide not to solder on a slot for ssd2 , sigh

The Victus 15-fb0034AX series has a DDR5 ram installed and the other slot will also have the same pin configuration right.....how did you insert a DDR4 ram in it is it compatible?
Are you sure it has DDR5? Never seen such thing. It has DDR4 and supports only 3200 Mhz.
