@@evana6425 They are! Too bad these are SMART KEY-CARDED now, but the good news is you can still ride the high rise up to 42 which at least would help make these elevator rides worth dying for
I stayed at this hotel in June 2015. I was in room 4630 which is presidential suite on the 46th floor in the 42-47 elevator bank. During my stay, a couple of floors were covered in black for renovation and I saw the elevators were starting to be modernized. I did an elevator tour of this massive hotel.
I've haven't been on, but I've known these elevators for as long as I can remember. I call these the vertical magic carpets of the US because of the view they give. I'd be willing to go on elevators like these if only I wasn't so chicken about my ears popping.
Actually, i think they would unlock them or unsmart key card the elevators during huge events. But i could be wrong. They give you special keys if you atay in the hotel. They will if you politely ask.
Unfortunately, they are now smart locked. And it makes it a lot harder for people to use the elevators when there is events. The elevators will take a minute longer.
If you're talking about the circle above the elevator buttons that's a scanner for room keys. Many hotels only allow you to select a floor after scanning your room key in order to restrict the floors with rooms to only people actually staying in the hotel.
@@mariokart8715Unfortunately, they are key carded but not smart keyed. Unfortunately, Marriott is becoming a new thing where they are now being smart keyed.
@@mariokart8715They could just be there in case they need to key card then because something crazy was happening nearby. But, we never know what could happen.
Completely stunning and these beautiful elevators are really something to die for

Yeah, you should ride those soon
super cool and unique
Everyone's end game elevators lol
These are great, right? We went in May...and yes, so many videos of these....because they are amazing! 🎉🎉
31-41 are the fastest glass elevators in the hotel
@@matthewlindstrom8728You don't have to say that in every video of the elevators here! Those are 700. These are 1000
Love these elevators but don’t enjoy having to wait for them at a certain event in may…

One of the glass elevators in this video was stuck between the 46th and 47th floors.
How fast are these elevators in fpm?
1000 FPM
Speaking of the 46th floor, I was only 1 floor away from the very top!
Yes. I stayed in the 1-17. On the 11th floor. Not very high up but we could see in the city
I stayed on the 41st floor of this hotel during my stay in Atlanta, 6 floors below the top floor.
@@johnoconnor4019 lucky. At least I was able to walk down that spiral staircase down to 10 and back to my room.
Did you talk to the people who work here on the fastest glass elevators in the hotel
Unfortunately, they are now smart locked. And it makes it a lot harder for people to use the elevators when there is events. The elevators will take a minute longer.
It sure is. :(
The fastest glass elevators in the hotel is 31-41 believe it or not
Nope, 31-41 aren’t the fastest; those go 800 FPM. The high rise (42-47) which are these, are 1000 FPM

They don’t intend to key card them.
