I just found your page tonight. I have to tell you it really grabbed my attention. I have some nominal knowledge of elevators, but not anywhere near the degree that you do. Although, I can tell you my favorite brand is OTIS as well. I’ve always found them to be the most high quality/trouble free of all. I hate ThyssenKrupp. My experience with their hydraulics has not been pleasant and they’re terribly slow even in brand new buildings. It’s so funny, I always thought I was the only one who paid attention to the brands/types of elevators! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one! Thanks so much for the videos.
This is the coolest elevator ride I have seen from anybody yet. I would like to visit there sometime and ride up to 47 and take in the view, but your camera made it like I was there. heights can bother me at times so I might have to ride up to 47 staying close to the door.
I'm going to the Springhill Suites this upcoming Saturday night near where I go for my dunebuggy adventures, and judging by the looks of the hotel, they might have an Otis Gen2 with Series 2 or 4 or a Schindler 330A, judging by the fact that most Springhills have Schindler 330A. I hope it's a Schindler 330A though.
3 years ago you we’re so excited about 300 subs. And look where you are now! Great job bro. Keep up your amazing work. And by the way, what software do you use to edit videos? I’d love to know, because I’ve been using iMovie and it’s definitely not the best editing software for professional RUclips videos.
I keep imagining the atrium without any railings to prevent falling. The thought of then tripping or slipping over and falling into the abyss gives me Hypnagogic jerks at night.
These elevators were featured in manhunter, the hunger games, and Andrew (dieselducy) filmed these elevators in his 1993 atlanta tour alongside the elevators at the nearby hyatt regency and the nearby hilton
I noticed when they rode the high rise elevators, on three of the shafts at the very top there were openings at the top of the shafts. Are there extra floors up there such as maybe an observation deck or perhaps a penthouse or something. I have seen setups like this before where a scenic elevator goes up to an observation deck which in most cases offers a spectacular view.
Great video, but I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed that the audio went out of sync. I don’t know when it happened but by 20 minutes in the audio was out of sync.
Andrew Raye Yes they used to be red and they had a big ribbon. That was taken down in 2007, and tje elevators were painted silver in 2007 and they renovated the lobby and convention space that year. In 2016 they renovated the guestrooms, hallways and elevator buttons and fixtures.
Another user found a set of 3 service elevators. They are next to the sign near the bottom of the pulse loft. 3 Otis dry powered hydros. If you got permission to see the service ones, you could’ve asked front desk to see the main machine room because it worked for me at the Westin nearby.
12:25 it can be a software feature, actually, rather than a controller glitch. Some elevators are programmed to cancel calls automatically when no person entering or leaving the cab is detected. This avoids unnecessary trips with an empty cab, in the case someone mistakenly placed calls (ahem, children, ahem), thus saving electricity. 😉
There will be no more normal videos of these elevators. Forever. I have heard that these elevators are now SMART key carded. This is according to someone who made a comment on a recent video of the Westin Peachtree Plaza elevators, which are also SMART keyed. So even hitching with a guest to get to the top will be very hard because that person may be staying at a lower floor when you want to go to the top.
Specialty Elevators & UEE's by Technicalboy3000 Why do you like the internal and service elevators more!?!?! The glassies are more fun and they all received the same exact mod
The service elevators were too grotty & ugly with the Series 1 & needed the mod, the internal elevators I like the way Otis improved the cab lighting but the glass elevators ? ? ?
Specialty Elevators & UEE's by Technicalboy3000 I honestly think all of the elevators were just fine in original shape, but the mod ain't bad. Besides, if it meant they renovated the place, which they did, that's a great thing!!!!! My first time staying here was in 2011, and the place while it was awesome to ride some nice elevators, the rooms and the hallways screamed the 80s, the beds were aging and were uncomfortable, and didn't feel like Marriott quality. Now, when i stayed in 2016, my stay was great, the rooms look futuristic now, the beds are comfy and overall the renovation was great, and it was badly needed. As for the elevators, while I wish they left them alone, they are still fun to ride!!!!

In Helen Tran’s calm objective opinion... THYSSENKRUPP IS HER SECOND FAVORITE ELEVATOR COMPANY!
AND ELEVATORBOY886’S FAVORITE ELEVATOR COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!
What about Schindler & KONE?
Schindler more because it’s higher quality than KONE.
Woah! 700 subs! Great job!!!
Congrats! Also awesome video!
glad you enjoyed CAelevators

The Atlanta Marriott marquis is a great place to stay, and also a place that is famous for its incredible high-rise elevators. :)

The service elevators are nice, scary, and grotty
Gage Williams They were but not anymore

Love this! I find it strange that the service elevators talk, but the others do not. Oh well, some amazing elevators.
Some of the guest elevators talk
excellent tour, Julien. very thorough. who do you ask to film there?
Sam Sitar I stayed in this hotel. I asked the concierge to have someone take me on the service elevators

I like the original 1980s carpeting more than the new one. It has fun bright colors that will draw people to look at it’s cool patterns.
Your intro music is about 10 times louder than your voice over introduction.

There's A Black Screen Of Death At 33:27!

Yeah. I was an amateur when it came to editing on Premiere Pro when I made this
Even guest hotel elevators all banks are modernized they are still fun to ride. For some reason after mod used to talk but not anymore which sucks.
And the chime sounds at the top floor but not at the Marquis Level.
I went back in 2007 and there was a big structured ribbon in the atrium. When was that taken down? And didn't the elevators use to be red?
Andrew Raye Yes they used to be red and they had a big ribbon. That was taken down in 2007, and tje elevators were painted silver in 2007 and they renovated the lobby and convention space that year. In 2016 they renovated the guestrooms, hallways and elevator buttons and fixtures.

Do you know who it was? Or could you provide a link to the video. I’m very interested in that.
The original ones had the phantom voice
The Pulse Loft Elevator are in front of the high rise elevators (42-47). The parking elevators are in front of the upper mid rise elevators (31-41)

My mom did.

There is a sign outside the doors on the upper floors, and service elevators are designed for staff only
