- Filmed on January 28, 2017: I haven't been doing hotel tours in a long time! So I figure why I upload one right now. Enjoy a tour of the historic hotel from 1929. The elevators here were installed in the late 60s. The service elevator with the Otis Lexan is not operational anymore, and it only serves three floors. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this.

I stayed here last week and it was absolutely amazing. Breakfast and Kick back is now included in your stay. The Bar there “Tellers Bar” is awesome! The basement with Riverwalk access feels so prestigious. Great stay!
That hotel was amazing I have been to San Antonio Texas and I never stepped foot in there.
The deadbolt is one of those automatic deadbolts that activate when you close the door, that knob just turns on the privacy feature so nobody can put the key in and come in

This is also a very reasonable hotel for the riverwalk. A lot of fun to stay in. I stayed in the new building which had a viewing deck on the roof and the indoor pool.

Wow, JimLiElevators! This hotel feels like you're spending 5 nights at Izzy's! Great video! And, I also like the view of this hotel as well as the San Antonio skyline and the hotel's swimming pool! The San Antonio skyline is like a groundbreaking mix of Las Vegas, New York City, & my homestate Wyoming.
Its so weird. Otis and Thyssenkrupp make not very good moden day lifts in Europe, but in America it's completely different. Great video btw!

That service elevator sure looks interesting. I sure wish it worked. Wonder why though it only served three floors? If it was a service elevator you would sure think it would serve the entire hotel.

You got a small part of it in your video when you avoided the people at the bottom there was one of the governors I think and then behind it was a giant old relay board

Can I ask you why you don’t flim people?
It’s because people may not feel comfortable being on camera, nor do they like their faces to be shown, especially indoors. Many places have asked me not to film people and I 100% cannot defy that rule. Otherwise, I may be in big trouble.

Nice hotel love historical skyscrapers but it looks like you didn't capture the entire skyline or views of the Tower Life building which is another San Antonio skyscraper built around that time.

The lock is digital so when you turn it it prevents the card reader from being used there is no phisical dedabolt

The lamp that did not turn on probably is on a switch by the entrance.I used to work in a hotel and thats the way it was set up.As a matter of fact I used to work at the Homewood Suites hotel just across the street!
Maybe the passenger elevators got modernized and they left that button there.
These were definitely modernized at one point.

Why is the service elevator doesn't work
decommissioned I believe. Also, that elevator only serves three floors.
@@JimLiElevators craziest thing is this video was posted 6 years ago, so the service elevator might be working right now, or you went to this hotel this year or last year and it still wasn’t working?
That’s a shame that the Otis Lexan service elevator isn’t operational anymore but still if it were to be in service I wouldn’t ride it because it would be staff only.
