Incredible! I love everything you said. I was just having a conversation with my 13 year old daughter about this. It started out with us listening to relient K and then we go to talking about faith. I explained how to me, Jesus was always the epitome of punk rock in that He pushed back against the norm and looked for ways to fix what was wrong. I always also felt that U2 did the same. Jon and Switchfoot fit right into that mold. Glad to know someone feels the same!

There’s an aggressiveness that contrasts perfectly with the moody soundscape throughout this album so far. Also, this has to be my favorite Switchfoot music video ever!

The musicians in this band are reaching the critical stage of having written and toured for multiple decades. There are only a few bands out there that have reached this stage and what comes out of their “ears” is not just special: it is transcendent.
Those harmonies after 3:22 just wow, CHILLS, makes me think of The Beach Boys. . . What a work of art this whole album is! Thank you Jon, Tim, Drew, Chad and Jerome, for sharing your talents with the rest of us.
