Gosh I'm so glad I found that channel! I was never able to afford dancing class, but now at least I have this and my motivation and passion :) People accepting to share their knowledge and genuinely interested into making people improve is the most precious thing we have in the world.. So thank you so much, and cheers from France 😊🇫🇷
I'm so pleased I can keep you dancing and having fun, I will certainly keep uploading videos for you to learn as much as possible! Lots of love to you Ciao Alessia :)
I can now do the splits and its been only 20 days . I honestly thought it would take me months because i m the most inflexible person but so happy i can do it now though i still have to stretch for like 15 min before . I did the front split stretching every day and side split only every other day .
I found your channel last week when I was feeling that I needed to break my 1 year streak of being completely sedentary in Covid lockdown. I'm 42, and did some dancing when I was a child and a teen. I was a late starter, and completed RAD Grade 4 only when I was graduating high school! I learned good lines and strong technique, and I have been wanting to dance more. But when I try adult dance class, I have such trouble! My muscles cramp so easily. My calf muscles spasm when I do a couple of sous-sous. I have become so inflexible, I cannot even middle split 90 degrees without feeling it. RAD teaches you very specific steps, and I feel so lost when I go to a class and the teacher demonstrates steps I haven't learned before when going across the floor. Between being completely confused, plus the cramping, and being 25 pounds overweight, I am a mess in adult ballet class. My goal now is to follow your videos every day and get myself in shape to not be an embarrassment in class! I did the deep stretch and a center video, and the next day I did the 7 minute warm up + this front splits pt 1 video. That almost killed me, lol. BUT I cannot believe how good that felt, just two workouts! My legs felt a looseness that I didn't know I needed. I can feel it when I run upstairs in my house. I can't believe how much easier that felt!
Alessia, cannot express enough my gratitude for your amazing ballet workout videos. I am 40 years old and have been doing splits since i was 4 years old (different sport's training programs). Your videos are the best thing I have encountered not only for the beginner but advanced levels. During my weekly work out routine, I incorporate all of your spit training videos: beginner, intermediate and advanced. All three (four) videos can enrich advance level split performer.
It's lessons like this that do make me wish I was in the same room as you, because it's different having a teacher correct things you can't see (because you're too busy looking at the ceiling, haha!). You still do a great job reminding us of hip placements, bum & abs engagement, etc. Thanks a lot, Alessia!
"forward and around, back in" I have this stuck in my head like a catchy tune 😂 ...... And the last time I followed this video was a few days ago It's really nice to have a reminder of u when I'm not even practicing, u have a very gentle and sweet way about u 😘
I absolutely adore your energy, your personality and those videos. Seriously!! I’ve never done ballet but i keep falling in love with all you videos every single time. So i just keep going and having fun with all the fantastic ballet stuff to do here.
I watched so many videos about splits and tried to improve my flexibility but i did not notice my hips are not square. so thank you so much because i do not want to make mistakes when im streching. Love from TURKEY!!!
With the 30 minute extensions video, I underestimated how much ab strength extensions took, and with this I underestimated how much quad strength is needed for the splits! My legs are shaking halfway through this! But I definitely intend to keep at it!
Hi, I wanted to thank you for all the amazing videos! I took dance classes when I was little but unfortunately I had to stop when I was twelve years old. After ten years of no exercise at all, I began to see little improvements in about a week after following your workouts (now I can reach my feet again after a long time of being a piece of wood 😆). Grazie mille, saluti da Padova! :)
I did the split some years ago, just once or twice in my life....and I'm talking about the side split (or front split, as you want to call it). I can tell that the exercises of relax that you show in your video work a lot breathing deep. Personally, I need to spend more time maybe, but I can confirm that it works. So thank you very much again, yesterday I wrote a comment on the other video (about the middle split). You're very nice and easy going. :)
Awesome! I think I'll get it this year. It looks like regular warm stretching is the key...I'm a good jumper, never been very flexible..More fun to have you help me get there. Thanks again.
Dolly remember splits are not the most important goals, think about 1- dance 2- dance more 3- dance more and loving every step 4-....... dance dance dance! how does that sound!? Lots of love to you, Alessia 😘
I've just started following this course and I feel with just 1 lesson I'm making more progress than a paid course I was doing :) Really the stretching put a good sweat on ! This will be my go to follow along video !!!
Alessia: "Feel the long leg! -- I don't have long leg but... imagine it!" Same girl, same. Sometimes I think about this moment randomly out of nowhere and crack up.
I recently found your channel and I can't be happier! I do your exercises every day and feel amazing results! I hope you'll add more videos! Thank you❤
Welcome to the Lazy Dancer Family! More videos coming for sure! Well done to you for sweating and working hard! Bravo! Keep me update on all your achievements! All the best! Ciao Alessia :D
I've done yoga for years but have always been a little scare of doing the splits. Thank you for this video! It makes doing the splits seem way less intimidating.
Jessica i'm glad I could show you the fun way to achieve splits! Never get intimidated by weird exercises, we can definitely achieve something that to the eye seems impossible. Patience, giggles and determination! Keep up the great work! :D All the best Alessia :):):)
I was scrolling through the comments and I noticed how on most of the comments, when someone commented about the comment, it was often Alessia giving words of encouragement!
Thank you Alessia...I exercise daily through your videos , they do inspire me to push out of my body limits and yes also to learn ballet which feels more waoo ...really a bundle of thanks to you ...keep up the great job ...🤩🥰🥳
+tersssa Ahahah funny you say that ! We've been planning and talking about how to video while I'm cooking ! I'll discuss it with the man tonight! So stay tuned!!! And thanks for the kind words! They keep me going 😘😘😘 Kissy

That's so brilliant! Well done, i'm proud of you!!!! Have yo done part 2 splits yet? Let me know how it goes and keep me updated on all of your achievements! Again a huge Well Done ! YEY ! Ciao Alessia
Love your mobility workouts! I find passive stretch not as effective.. I practice yoga and you help me a lot to enjoy my journey ❤️ thanks 🙏🏼 love from Algeria 🇩🇿
I can't really keep my back straight (I'm just not flexible enough), but after this I felt like my body was soooo conditioned it was amazing! I have to say that considering my own flexibility (I can't even touch my ankles if standing with parallel feet) splits are nowhere in sight, but I really hope this can improve things in the long term :) Edit: 3 weeks of doing it every day/every other day I have gained a few inches! Although still unable to keep the balance
@@annycrepyy3264 Hi Anny, considering I stopped doing this as constantly as I was doing it before - and now I will perhaps do it every 2-3 weeks or so (while still working out and so doing stretches of some other kind pre and post work out), no, I didn't get my back straight (short answer), but I still got a lot more flexible - I wasn't able to touch my toes in the last stretches, now I can hug the foot with both hands, which for me is CRAZY! My back is definitely much closer to straight from where it was when I started, but bear in mind that if you're anywhere above your teenage years, it's gonna be hard to become flexible, it's big muscles that are involved and if like me, you've been not flexible all your life, I struggle to believe this can change in a few months :) I have in mind to start doing this more often. Let's see how it goes!
A 45-minute walk is sufficient for warm-up? I've been wanting to do the split for a while, but I just can't (I'm 30cm away from the floor). Do you think that doing it for a month 5 times a week can notice a big difference ?. I know it varies from the body of each person, but I would appreciate your comment. By the way, I'm a new subscriber.
Katrina Welcome to the Lazy Dancer Family! As warm up, if you are talking about power walk then yes. You need to be consistent in your work to achieve a full split. The reason why I insist to be warm is that you don't want to pull and injure any muscle. I can't tell you specifically how long it will take to achieve a split, it all depends on you :) Let me know how you get on with it, never give up! Ciao Alessia :)
Karinna Villarreal I would recommend to do this as often as you can, daily if possible, if you want to progress. Any day away is felt. It is difficult to say how fast. 30 cm is not very much, but not very little. It usually isn't achieved within a month, but it depends on your natural abilities and your age also. I do adult ballet and also salsa dancing and when doing stretching in class, didn't do all those preparatory exercises, just leg on the barre, get on the floor, push, push push. I did ballet for more than 6 months and still I'm not as flexible as I would want and I didn't notice any of the other girls getting hyper flexible by night. I improved a lot, but takes time. Good luck and don't forget to work out! It's the only way!
i just finished your mini barre routine and attempted your turn out video (man, i wish i would have had that one back when i was dancing - i have tight hips, so my turn out is awful). i will have to retry the turnout one on another day. i enjoyed the middle split video and have watched the other split video. i have pretty good splits, but as i have gotten older everything is getting tighter. i like how these stretches help release my hips and lower back. I look forward to trying the leg extensions video too.
Well done! You are doing a fantastic job! Remember to take a nice hot bath at the end of the workout, it will help with relaxing the muscles even more, ready to work the day after! Keep up the great work! Ciao Alessia
Dear Alessia, i love you very much, thank you for what you do . All this wouldn't work if you weren't the person you are other than the teacher you are

Hi Alessia i had my first splits 20 days ago... but for 15 days i didnt have chance to work because of my illness and today when i tryed to do splits it was failure.. I lost it :(( how easy it goes? :(
Logged on my husband's account but 2nd day doing this vid and the warm-up. Can't wait to try others next week :) P.s. Love your cat. Thank you for the videos x x x Dionne
I'm sure your husband is going to love the "suggested videos" youtube will send him!!! ahahah So glad you are doing this WELL DONE!!! and good on you for warming up properly, we need more people like you in the world! Let me know how you get on with it and keep me posted on all the progress ! If you have any questions please ask! Kissy Alessia
Would you be able to do a video based on basic ballet technique? Like the different positions in ballet etc? Im starting a musical theatre degree course in September and I think I would benefit a lot from learning the basics of ballet first xx
Hello Mia I have all the ballet basics at the lazy dancer studio, you can check out the info here www.lazydancertips.com in alternative I set up a beginners ballet course too www.lazydancertips.com/dance-programmes hope they help and all the best with your MT degree! Love Alessia
God this was brutal (and the lifting up on toes part was NOT ideal after a 15 km bike ride) but soooo effective, and this was only my first try. Hope I can manage to keep this up 🙏🏻
Hey Alessia. I'm a professional dancer and teacher (not ballet) and I do ballet 4 times/week. I always have a problem with putting my head forward, behind the knee, lay down with my stomach on a quad... if I put my head on knee its good... When I stand up I put my hands without any problem on the floor so it's not that bad but I really fight with that and tried a lot of different stretches but I don't know what is wrong and what to do... any tips for that?
Magda thank you for your message! Sometimes our body has some limitation due to shape, muscles and tendons lengh. I always say work with what you have and make the most of it! Being super flexible is not the end of the world, it's dancing from your heart and how you deliver your art that metters! Ciao Alessia :)
yes, of course, I enjoy very much, but dancing and performing is my job also and I really struggle with that I can't improve some things, especially when I need it for the shows etc. I sit in all splits, but I can't improve my flexibility this way...
This week I start with your routine for the split. The last time I did the split, it was in January of last year ... xD So it's a new beginning for me. :D Wish me luck!
Thaaaankkksss now bc of u i can do the splits (only on a bed) but it’s a soft bed so actually i can’t do the split but is can do it on a bed so i’m proud
Hi there! Thank you so much for your videos, I really appreciate all your hard effort. I have recently started ballet classes for the first time. Quick question; Being 45 years old with no flexibility whatsoever, I'm a tad scared to stretch my legs a little more every day I practise my splits. I think muscles after a certain, ahem, age , grow stiffer, so they don't cope well with stretching and may even tear. Do you think it 's possible for a person of such age, with no experience in dancing or even working out to achieve splits? I would really, really like to nail a decent grand jete someday. Many kisses grom Greece.
hey 😁 i have so much pain in the knee of the supporting leg while doing the exercises. do you have any tips to avoid that? i love your Channel! greetings from Germany!💞💞
Super ćwiczyć Fitness muzyka👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞😊😊😊😊😊😊😍😍😍😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗👶👶👶👶👶👶
Practice every day, and a small tip: stay in the stretch for about 30 sec (these are exercises for beginners, so are milder, but easier to approach each day) and try to smile through the pain and aim a little bit forward which every breath. Focus on the breath, not on the pain. If you are not flexible yet, it will hurt in the beginning, but bare in mind it will gradually go away. Take it step by step, first gain flexibility, then go for the splits. I am 29, for example, flexible because of all the dancing, ballet and yoga I did as a teen and as an adult, but still splits are a challenge to me because I have tightened hamstrings. Each body has pluses and minuses. Love to you and all the women out there who love their bodies!
Alessia, hello! My knees usually hurt badly when in touch with the floor… Do you suggest maybe to use some knee protectors? Is the knees hurting in this position usual? Thanks! love to your cat :)
+florencia Hi Florencia, it is normal they hurt when touching the floor. As mentioned before probably your hips flexibility still needs to be worked a little more for the position to feel slightly more comfortable. Ideally only the inside of your knee should touch the floor, not the top or the rotula . Always use kneepads of cushions to have something to save the knees for now ;) keep lengthening the inside thighs and hips, you'll get to down-frog soon;) Kissy Alessia ;)
Hello! Should I do this video for weeks and after it stops being challenging I go on with part 2? Or do I have to do both parts the same day every other day?

This one will come up very soon, it needs a bit of editing but definitely in progress! Ciao :)

Would you be able to do a video based on basic ballet technique? Like the different positions in ballet etc? Im starting a musical theatre degree course in September and I think I would benefit a lot from learning the basics of ballet first xx
Hello Mia
I have all the ballet basics at the lazy dancer studio, you can check out the info here www.lazydancertips.com
in alternative I set up a beginners ballet course too www.lazydancertips.com/dance-programmes
hope they help and all the best with your MT degree!
Love
Alessia
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!
I pressed the thumb down by mistake! I love your videos!!!
This week I start with your routine for the split. The last time I did the split, it was in January of last year ... xD
So it's a new beginning for me. :D
Wish me luck!
Hope it's going well!!! Let me know your progress! Ciao Alessia :)
I send you a picture when I can do it! :D
you are now my favorite RUclipsr

I love this workout :) Thank you very much Alessia
Thaaaankkksss now bc of u i can do the splits (only on a bed) but it’s a soft bed so actually i can’t do the split but is can do it on a bed so i’m proud
It's very helpful video thanks
You are more than welcome Kiran! :D
Back again today 🎉❤
I heard my body cracking like Rice Krispies cereal while stretching. Great routine!
I love you video I hope it works thanks 🔥🔥
And maybe eat a lot of meat...collagen...animal connective tissue
hey 😁 i have so much pain in the knee of the supporting leg while doing the exercises. do you have any tips to avoid that? i love your Channel! greetings from Germany!💞💞
Maria have you tried with cushions under your knees? Sometimes it help! :) Love from London Alessia

This was a bit hard for the last for me for my right leg but I did 🎉
Hard work indeed! :)
Awesomeness
When doing the last set of streches is it normal to feel a strech on the arch of the foot?
I could use a little help with the circular motions in the first exercise. Are you going in a full circle and letting the hips go?
Nathalie, it's only a forward and back movement in the first exercise :)
As I did it more it became clear. These have helped so much and I am 47!
I love your videos. They remember my 8 years of ballet. Where did you buy the protection for you cat? In the door I mean. I need it for mine! Please
Thank you Irene! I made the cat-protection out of a support for plant crawlers 😁😘
Lazy Dancer Tips Thank you!!! 😍
thank you
IT WAS SO GOOG
I love this! I'm 25 years old and I don't be flexible, but I want to do the split :(
You can do it!!!! Let me know how it goes! Ciao Alessia :)
Diana Alejandra Bustamante Orozco omg im 28 years old and not flexible as well. just start to learn today hopefully can do the split soon.
How many days i do this before I go to another level?

Why are you destroying the house?
😂😂😂
Hello! Should I do this video for weeks and after it stops being challenging I go on with part 2? Or do I have to do both parts the same day every other day?
You can alternate the two parts if you wish until it gets easy, then yo can pass to intermediate level! Let me know how it goes! Ciao alessia
Lazy Dancer Tips Thank you!! And awesome, I'll keep you updated!
Let go!
what am I left with to say? I love it!
Super happy !!!!! Thank youuuuuu!
How does this not hurt your knees? I had to do it with a cushion under my knees and it still was too much for me. Is that normal?
