- The First 2020 Corvette C8 Convertible in Long Beach Red Metallic arrived today at Tim Lally Chevrolet in Warrensville Hts. Corvette Specialist Joey Hurtuk checked it out for us. The Long Beach Red Metallic finish really popped in the sun. It surprised franchise owner Mike Lally, who didn't think he'd be a fan of that color. The Natural Dipped interior added elegant contrast. Joey Hurtuk wondered about the choice for a daily driver Corvette but clearly favored it for show cars.
The biggest difference everyone noticed right away was that you cannot see the engine in the mid engine C8 convertible like you can on the coupe. Retired Tim Lally New Car Manager Bob Fratus thought that the fully enclosed engine would make for less cleaning than on the coupe, but it is a very noticeable difference.
The top on the new 2020 Corvette C8 can be raised and lowered at speeds up to 30mph. Corvette Specialist Joey Hurtuk demonstrated its quick and very smooth operation.

This spec is unreal. Blows away the Ferrari F12 berlinetta custom spec that cost a extra 50k just for a similar color scheme alone. Whoever made the config knows a whole lot about cars.

That interior is a bit yellow for my taste. I’d like it more if it were more tan. Cool car though.
There may be 6 motors operating that top, but the fact you can’t see the real motor is questionable for me. I wait for the Z06.
If I were the owner of this convertible, I would be pretty pissed off about that sales rep playing with my car.
Why was the owner changing out the stock rims ? They look awesome. To eachs own obviously but I wouldn’t touch them
He opted for the other wheels. The cool thing about the C8's was the personalization options. Joey Hurtuk, our Corvette Specialist, used software to give all his Vette customers a 3D rendering of their Corvette before the order was placed.

I have a 2005 Cadillac with neutral shale interior, including carpeting. Not an issue, unless you're a complete slob.
Light interiors are very nice but yes, to your point, you can't be sloppy.

What is your dealership's named and phone number?...This is your first convertible cause a few are running around elsewhere. ...Darkening the parts you spoke of the roof and the bumps in the middle are each priced at the price you mentioned ($1800 or so).

For someone that said "I'm not going to touch anything until it's pdi'd" you sure didn't listen to your own advice about playing with the top.
OK, guilty, to a degree. If you look surrounding the car are several GM Certified Technicians, including our Corvette Expert Rick Sedivy ( to whom Corvette aficionados will drive over two hours to have their Corvettes maintained!) who made sure in between the clips you see that it would be OK.

let me guess, it will be bought by an old man in his 60's.....yup. hope he doesn't mind being a GM guinea pig. should have waited a year or two these things are going to drop in price hard soon as dealers charge high fees for the first models.
Terrible color combo. The interior should be black. I had a tan interior in my C5 and it showed dirt worse than any car I ever owned. Forget about wearing shined shoes.
Joey warned about that. It is a great look but definitely will need lots of TLC!
