If we can't get Guimares, Vitinha is an excellent option. Has the goal scoring and creative ability of Gundogan while also having the defensive sensibilities to complement Rodri. He has also played CDM a lot for PSG but defensively isn't as good as Guimares, nor is he as physically strong or tall, but he will fit right in to city as PSG also play a posession based slow tempo system which he is used to. He is also half the price of Guimares. Another alternative option would be Joey Veerman of PSV. He's an excellent deep lying playmaker but can also make late runs into the box and score, and he is excellent defensively as well. Probably half the price of Guimares.

With options for width like Doku, Savio, Grealish and Olise, we won't need a new right back. I would look into buying a new defender once Stones and Walker eventually depart, maybe next season.
I agree with the Gundogan replacement Bruno G. That’s a great idea, but concerning Walker’s replacement : For Walker, the most perfect replacement for him is definitely Alexander Bah at Benfica. This man is both versatile offensively and defensively, he’s got the pace and overlaps just like Walker. He also carries the ball better than Simakan and crosses better than Simikan. He’s also 26 so he’s got alot of time and experience aswell in football. And also, there’s Ismaël Bennacer and Adrien Rabiot as alternatives if we don’t manage to get Bruno due to his release clause. Bennacer is literally Gundogan but with more agression, better defending, and physicality but less goal scoring ability. He’s basically like Kovacic at finishing but has a massive and excellent shooting power like Rodri (not exactly but close). So partnering him up with Rodri is something that could stress the opponent’s keeper. He’s also not a excellent passer like Gundogan but could actually get the job done. In terms of passing he’s similar to someone like Buendia from Arsenal Villa if you’re looking for a comparison. I also said Rabiot because of his excellent ariel abilities. He’s technically Rodri 2.0 with a massive shooting threat and ability to control the game.
Thanks for some great analysis of what City need to be looking at for the transfer window. > Guimaraes: Totally agree that he looks like our number 1 target for the summer, and the fact that he has a rumoured release clause can only be a bonus. We simply cannot afford to go yet another season without proper cover for Rodri. And if there is any truth to the rumours about KdB's departure, this move makes even more sense. An added bonus with Guimaraes is his resilience, having played all but one PL match this season (Yellow card suspension vs BOU). Contrast that with KdB's worsening injury record, and his ~£100m release clause starts to make more sense for City ! . > Williams: City were in discussions with Ath.Bilbao early last summer, with keen interest also from Aston Villa, before he decided to stay on - and we went after Doku. His market value has since jumped by €20 million. So it will be interesting to see what plans City have for Savio. Do City want to give Savio an extra year to develop, and are we prepared to pay the increased fee for Williams instead. . > Simakan: I knew very little about him before your upload, but can now see why he might be a great fit. Having had concerns about the right side of our defence for a while - with Walker, Stones, and even Dias sadly no longer in their prime (and more prone to injury), I totally agree that this needs to be high up our priority list. . Another high priority position that City needs to get sorted is 'keeper'. As after having the best duo in the league, we could possibly now lose both !
Guimares would be sooo good. De Jong, Veerman and Vitinha also good candidates for that position. Nico and Simakan are both great shouts. I’ve been thinking Olise would be my dream right wing singing given his creativity - I feel like he’d help us unlock Haaland a bit more in games where we don’t have De Bruyne. Signing a more direct winger like Nico who also has the flexibility to play both wings seems like a smart move tho, less injury prone too. Personally the right back I’ve been interested in recently is Geertruida from Feyenord - he’s capable of playing RB, CB and most importantly for Arne Slot he’s been used as an inverted RB. In my mind I can see him and Gvardiol inverting alongside Rodri with Guimares pushing forward to create the 2-3-5 formation in possession.
I completely agree with the assessment of the position we need, but I think Bruno Guimaraes is the only player we actually need right now. Simakan is an excellent suggestion but acc to reports we are not looking for a rb this season with walker, stones and rico in our squad. Maybe next season. And with nico I think it is highly unlikely we will sign another right footed winger. We need a left footed winger and i see Savio as an excellent choice. We are not respecting him enough even though he was nominated as the best player in la liga this season.
Nico would definitely be more of a bonus fun signing for me. I do think we need a more offensive option at RB, for if we want to use the right sided false winger system. Akanji/Stones/Walker/Lewis wouldn’t provide that
Big up with quality video .agree on the rb(like understand your insight and vision him perfectly for our team ) ,big fan of Bruno g.a winger i would like is Olise do you think it could work (60 mil ucl club release clause seen links before to city )
Savio is comparable to Nico Williams and is already a City player. Savio even had more G/A than Nico Williams. 19 to 16. No need to spend 50 million IMO
We NEED tactical flexibility with our back Line! Playing 4 defensive players ONLY works as stones is so comfortable in midfield which is unlike any other centre back, but without stones we’re scrambling. Getting either frimpong, couto or Davies will allow the, to play their natural position unlike pep experimenting with akanji in midfield or gvardiol as a wingback. Yes wingbacks aren’t as good defensively but gvardiol or akanji don’t help much in attack (compared to stones/frimpong for example), everything can’t be perfect.
That’s why Simakan would be brilliant, for that tactical flexibility. Frimpong/Couto would be huge defensive liabilities for Pep if played as fullbacks
Simakan cannot play as a wingback or in midfield, he is not the tactical flexibility we need. He’s more like akanji. Like I said yes couto/frimpong aren’t good defensively but they are a lot better on the ball/in attack than gvardiol or akanji (in midfield). Everything can’t always be perfect
@@NobbinsQ- Have you heard of the Rumor of Pep playing a 3-5-2 formation next season? This formation means City would need wing backs with attacking qualities like Frimpong or Couto. Either way, playing Walker or even Simakan in the current set up, in these high and wide areas almost like wingers are not beneficial attacking wise to City. But if you asking them to attack and defend like natural Fullbacks and not Wing backs this would make a lot more sense. My opinion
You make some very arguments for these three positions especially Bruno. But is Savio really going to be a first team player next year. Wish more City youtubers did videos like this one 👍.
For walker I'd love if we tried one of dumfries or hakimi both pacey and are good with the ball,,,nico williams is amazing but I'd prefer we give savio a chance first,,,saw him a lot this season he can really cause troubles for epl players
Great video mate, Would love to sign Reece James he’s the best in the world but he is just too much of a risk injury wise but Haaland was injury prone too and he hasn’t done too bad.
Bruno in the 8 next to Rodri would be perfect plus give us that aggression that we've been missing for me. I'd love Olise or Neto at RW. Personally would like Savio to gain more confidence and experience back at la Liga in the Leage and UCL. RB or CB would be nice as well to cover for either walker or Akanji, who I see playing at RB.
Great presentation but …. I am afraid to say instead of that I feel you should best assist with your clubs pursuit of a legal expert in receivership.😩😂
Bro you don’t know how I’ve looked for this kyle walker replacement and the only player that I could think off was James but it’s unrealistic so seeing simikan is perfect I really appreciate the effort ❤
Not sure we see this many players coming in unless KDB and Bernardo are both sold and even then seems unlikely. If Gumares is signed that means Foden playes on the wing with Doku, Savio, Grealish and Alvarez(not a winger but takes up that number) leaving 5 players for 2 spots unless Kev leaves. If Kev leaves then its back to 4 players for 2 spots and we saw how few minutes Grealish got last year. Just seems overloaded and a playing time issue waiting to happen.
for me, the ideal signing is an inverted fullback/centerback. i don't really think playing/pushing fullback as a winger is good idea for city ,cuz 1)we need winger's ability to dribble in 1v1 situations. 2)we don't have any center backs with pace, it's better to keep fullbacks in rest defense
I think No.1. Eze ( Cam, Cm, Rw) No.2 . Frimpong (RB) No.3 . A.Davies ( LB) What do you think about these 3 players ? According to me if we buy these players we don't have to think about our defence of 2 or 3 seasons .
I always thought we would want a wingback/fullback player like Frimprong or Kimmich to help break the low blocks we face all season and possibly have play Gvardiol back more. Frimprong also fills a spot as a winger if needed as well and Kimmich provides a possible midfielder if needed if De Bruyne or someone goes down.
@@Nobbins I just think of Gvardiol playing Walker’s role and Frimprong being the false winger on Fodens side letting Foden go in the midfield, but when we play teams that don’t use low blocks as consistently then we play Walker as normal.
Great video Nobbins. One question I have: could you be making an assumption about Bruno G’s skill set being used at City? How do we know Pep would allow Bruno to play the way he does at NU in a City kit? Pep loves possession and hates giving away the ball. It seems that only select City players are “allowed” to try to long thru balls and passes that some might view as risky - KDB, Doku and Foden. The only reason I ask is how many times have we seen this past season when Haaland, for example, makes great runs in behind, City players see him open but elect to pass lateral or backwards instead of risking the pass? Yet KDB Foden and even Doku appear to have license to try those riskier passes. Grealish is the perfect example of this. All I’m saying is, yes Bruno G’s skills would be great in a City kit but we have no idea if Pep would allow to leverage said skills on the way you’re discussing (in which I agree too).
I love Bruno G but i think we should give Maximo perrone a shout he’s highlights at his former club where outstanding I know las Palmas didn’t have a good season but he’s still our player , I’d say give him pre season cause he’s like a Yaya toure regen I love his style of play
We have 4 wide players now with different styles. For control we have Grealish and Bernardo and for explosiveness we have Doku/Savio so I don’t think we need a winger.
Savio and Bruno G definitely have to come, for that Brazilian hyperlink with ederson💀.....but jokes aside I slightly rank savio and think he could actually be amazing, Bruno G would be perfect to play alongside rodri, as for the RB, I don't know, I would like a fast one so as to have someone who can cover the left out space from the build up
The amount of times Bruno Guimaraes lost the ball possession is my biggest worry with his abilities. Can Pep coach it out of him, shielding the ball when receiving it.
honestly i think we need to go only for guimares and gusto especially reece james coming back from injury when he does there will be no space for him. at the right price anything is possible
When are u going to do a video on this latest case? I need some expert clarification mate. Does this Apt rules affect doing business between the city group clubs? From my understanding these apt rules also, for example, would affect the fees city pay for players from city group clubs like savio.
I’m on holiday haha! So probably won’t be doing a video 😊 I wouldn’t be too concerned about it tbh, any CFG transfers will be fine so long as they’re for fair value. Savio for example seems to already have been dealt with
@@Nobbinslol ah ok, hope enjoy the break mate 👍 My question with Savio was, have these rules city are challenging forced city to pay a higher fee (market value) for him and is that part of the reason city are looking for damages / changes, partly so they can move players between city group clubs without paying full value. It kind of defeats the object of having these type of feeder clubs if u still have to pay the same fee any outside club would pay for the player
Only said sold on Simakan as for bruno G well hes great actually but i personally prefer Neves Who can play the Gundo amd The Rodri role especially As for Nico honestly the reason i might say no to him is because of Savio, who imo is better and an absolute baller on the right if we bring nico tho do you think savio should play ATm role. Also expanding on that i think we need another attacking middlefelder especially with our current situation since we're uncertain abt kdb silva and Alvarez
Nico would definetly be a good signing but hes been linked with barca and between barca and city he would probably choose barca since hes spanish, we can hope tho
Bruno is a beast I would love him on our squad but I’m not ready to give up on Nunes. We gave Grealish the most average 100 M player on earth a season to get use to playing for Pep I feel like Nunes deserves the same chance 🤷🏾♂️ .
I know newcastle will need to sell to meet psr but will they really be willing to let bruno go considering how integral he is for their team? Either way he's amazing
RB- nobody just keep Lewis, use Stones or Akanji as backup they both need game time, and for now Walker is staying. Couto and Frimpong are almost wingers at this point, it could become a canceló issue later on. If we develop Lewis correctly he could do what they do AND still switch to invert. But it could be nice to see how the others would do. I would think that Frimpong goes to Real Madrid, and Couto goes to Leverkusen. but Rico has the potential to be our version of Reece James. LB- Aaron Hickey, Gvardiol is the main guy and Ake still could stay, so one of those two will need to be the a main LCB and the backup should be on par with Lewis in terms of potencial and growth. CM- we don’t need a rodri replacement, so Neves, or Wharton, or Gray are too early to come in. I like Veerman, Laimer, and Hamer. But I think the best guy for all-round midfielder is Conor Gallagher. And he’s for sale. RW- Nico Williams… next season. I think he will stay to play with Bilbao one more season since they got European competition. And Alvarez this season as RW. And Ndala in the future. If Bernardo, Nunes, and De Bruyne leave.. don’t mess about go for the big names: Xavi Simons and Musiela.
come on, bro !!! Conor Gallagher cant play in a possession based system and Surely, we do need a partner for Rodri as well as a back up and BrunoG will be a perfect player we are looking for
@@anhtruong585 Bruno G would be ideal, but will he be an automatic starter ? Like over Kovacic, Rodri, De Bruyne, Foden? If yes- and he is guaranteed playing time- I feel like that eliminates a Musiela move. And for me, I’d rather get Musiela in and not Bruno G. I’m just thinking in terms of 1 thing: does he care if he doesn’t start? His profile is high, he’s gonna be 27 soon- I think he wants to be “the guy” for a consistent team. And rn Arsenal are offering a starting spot. Gallagher is really good imo, he’s can go anymore in the mid and his price is low. Thinking holistically getting all the guys we need while not over spending- he should be on the table. If De Bruyne and Kova leave… then I wouldn’t be against it if we got Bruno G.
Man city need a rapid guy Who can defend and go forward and pass, so i think it has to be frimpong. Kimmich has the same things as guimaraes has and he could be cheaper for us also. But we don’t need another winger
Don't forget the transfer budget is only 150-200 million Currently Walker is suitable for another season and as for the winger, there is a deal that has been officially done, which is Savio, but with the news indicating the exit of both De Bruyne and Silva, there will be a shortage of midfielders
£200m gross would be enough for all 3 of these players tbf, never mind sales. I don’t agree Walker’s suitable for another season, not as a starter anyway. Squad player sure.

For Walker, the most perfect replacement for him is definitely Alexander Bah at Benfica.
Nobbins , much love mate
what a wonderful video man
Thanks for some great analysis of what City need to be looking at for the transfer window.
> Guimaraes:
Totally agree that he looks like our number 1 target for the summer, and the fact that he has a rumoured release clause can only be a bonus.
We simply cannot afford to go yet another season without proper cover for Rodri. And if there is any truth to the rumours about KdB's departure, this move makes even more sense. An added bonus with Guimaraes is his resilience, having played all but one PL match this season (Yellow card suspension vs BOU). Contrast that with KdB's worsening injury record, and his ~£100m release clause starts to make more sense for City !
.
> Williams:
City were in discussions with Ath.Bilbao early last summer, with keen interest also from Aston Villa, before he decided to stay on - and we went after Doku. His market value has since jumped by €20 million. So it will be interesting to see what plans City have for Savio. Do City want to give Savio an extra year to develop, and are we prepared to pay the increased fee for Williams instead.
.
> Simakan:
I knew very little about him before your upload, but can now see why he might be a great fit.
Realistic expectation....
CM - Bruno G
RB - Yan Couto
LW/RW - Savio
Akanji/Stones/Walker/Lewis wouldn’t provide that
Glad to see someone mention Simakan underrated player
Keep up the good work mate
Will do thank you my lovely
Your analysis are really good💙💙💙💙💙
Big up with quality video .agree on the rb(like understand your insight and vision him perfectly for our team ) ,big fan of Bruno g.a winger i would like is Olise do you think it could work (60 mil ucl club release clause seen links before to city )
Savio is comparable to Nico Williams and is already a City player.
Savio even had more G/A than Nico Williams. 19 to 16. No need to spend 50 million IMO
Nico williams is way better if you watch them let’s be real
@@1S207-o2r Not essentials at Nico Will case. we desperately need a left footed winger more than a right footed one
@@anhtruong585 Ik that I would prefer someone like olise or bakayoko
❤nice analysis mate
You're better than gary Neville ❤️👍
Wish more City youtubers did videos like this one 👍.
im still tinking Olise have to be our RW, maybe too expensive but he's great. Great video mate 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Lol Savio getting more experience at la Liga he literally outclassed those you mentioned this season in goals and assists he's way better
Great presentation but …. I am afraid to say instead of that I feel you should best assist with your clubs pursuit of a legal expert in receivership.😩😂
I really love this your video
Bro you don’t know how I’ve looked for this kyle walker replacement and the only player that I could think off was James but it’s unrealistic so seeing simikan is perfect I really appreciate the effort ❤
No worries! 🥰
personally i would say they only need two transfers such as kimmich(rb as he can invert or as seen at the euros staying high and wide) n bruno g
I think Gvardiol can be coached to be this guy tbh
I think No.1. Eze ( Cam, Cm, Rw)
No.2 . Frimpong (RB)
No.3 . A.Davies ( LB)
What do you think about these 3 players ? According to me if we buy these players we don't have to think about our defence of 2 or 3 seasons .
Eze is a good player but we can sign players that is more talented than Eze. Frimpong and Davies both are not profiles Man City look for
I always thought we would want a wingback/fullback player like Frimprong or Kimmich to help break the low blocks we face all season and possibly have play Gvardiol back more. Frimprong also fills a spot as a winger if needed as well and Kimmich provides a possible midfielder if needed if De Bruyne or someone goes down.
Pep would despise Frimpong OOP as a fullback IMO
@@Nobbins I just think of Gvardiol playing Walker’s role and Frimprong being the false winger on Fodens side letting Foden go in the midfield, but when we play teams that don’t use low blocks as consistently then we play Walker as normal.
@@NobbinsPep didn't despise Cancelo and weakness defensively
He only despised his attitude.
Frimpong in the Walker RWB/RW role would be perfect IMO
I love Bruno G but i think we should give Maximo perrone a shout he’s highlights at his former club where outstanding I know las Palmas didn’t have a good season but he’s still our player , I’d say give him pre season cause he’s like a Yaya toure regen I love his style of play
he needs to go to girona first then he will replace rodri in near future
Another winger City can take a look at, is Raphael Leao AC Milan and Portugal Winger
Can Pep coach it out of him, shielding the ball when receiving it.
he aint going to get the chance to coach him
I opted for jamal musiala as KDB's replacement in the long run but Olise to Bayern has rekindled his ucl winning hopes.
Simakin is a beast totally correct would add pace, physicality. When we played leipzig simakin played well against us
honestly i think we need to go only for guimares and gusto especially reece james coming back from injury when he does there will be no space for him. at the right price anything is possible
u should do a new video on who we should sign on January
I will!
Great content mate, but we should never go for Reece James, He’s more injury prone than John Stones
Savio for example seems to already have been dealt with
@@Nobbinslol ah ok, hope enjoy the break mate 👍
My question with Savio was, have these rules city are challenging forced city to pay a higher fee (market value) for him and is that part of the reason city are looking for damages / changes, partly so they can move players between city group clubs without paying full value. It kind of defeats the object of having these type of feeder clubs if u still have to pay the same fee any outside club would pay for the player
joao neves -120 million
olise-55 million
savio -20 million
bernardo leaves for 50 million
olise as a potential kdb replacement
Ykb💪🏿
I think if not for age then Hakan Calhanoglu would have been a better replacement for both Kelvin and Ikay
Only said sold on Simakan as for bruno G well hes great actually but i personally prefer Neves Who can play the Gundo amd The Rodri role especially
As for Nico honestly the reason i might say no to him is because of Savio, who imo is better and an absolute baller on the right if we bring nico tho do you think savio should play ATm role. Also expanding on that i think we need another attacking middlefelder especially with our current situation since we're uncertain abt kdb silva and Alvarez
Nico would definetly be a good signing but hes been linked with barca and between barca and city he would probably choose barca since hes spanish, we can hope tho
im being realistic and we wont sign 3 new players unless 3 players leaves, i can only see one signing and thats a cm.
This part reminds me of the old Bernardo Silva
3:22
Bruno is a beast I would love him on our squad but I’m not ready to give up on Nunes. We gave Grealish the most average 100 M player on earth a season to get use to playing for Pep I feel like Nunes deserves the same chance 🤷🏾♂️ .
I know newcastle will need to sell to meet psr but will they really be willing to let bruno go considering how integral he is for their team? Either way he's amazing
Allegedly it’s a release clause so they wouldn’t have a say in the matter
@Nobbins I must have missed that though do you have an idea of how much we can spend this transfer window (or a video u made)?
Nolina from Athletico Madrid Right back, Manuel Locatelli from Juventus Centre Midfielder and Michael Olise' from Crystal Palace Left wing
@@anhtruong585 or Newcastle renew his contract, and sell off some non-starters to balance the books
Simakan is a crazy good shout
City should change their style. Since most of the old players might leave, time to sign yong players and play like that 2017/18 season.
Dynamic wingers return? 👀
I reckon we need to sign a few more lawyers. Not liking the direction, the 115 is going. How much for Atticus Finch & Erin Brokovich?
love the content, De Bruyne might be leaving tho, shouldn't we do anything about it
Jamal Musiala
If they get the winger then bernando goes in midfield and then they want a full back
like all the players you have highlighted
City are never gonna sign Williams he will probably go to Barca or Chelsea but it would be a good signing
Excellent video. Bruno G is must imo
100%
Make video on Adam Wharton future KDB Successor
Man city need a rapid guy Who can defend and go forward and pass, so i think it has to be frimpong.
Kimmich has the same things as guimaraes has and he could be cheaper for us also.
But we don’t need another winger
Don't forget the transfer budget is only 150-200 million
Currently Walker is suitable for another season and as for the winger, there is a deal that has been officially done, which is Savio, but with the news indicating the exit of both De Bruyne and Silva, there will be a shortage of midfielders
£200m gross would be enough for all 3 of these players tbf, never mind sales. I don’t agree Walker’s suitable for another season, not as a starter anyway. Squad player sure.
Your observant walker is not as he used to be thus why CITY concede many goals this season.@@Nobbins
