Honestly, people hate on Man City now because they apparently made the league "boring" but Man United in the 90s and early 2000s used to absolutely piss the league. I remember as a kid watching United, by late April theyd always have wrapped up the league and teams would have to do a guard of honour for the whole of May 😂😂. Man City have won the league 5 out of 6 times but at least it usually goes to the last day.

@@Gavin8708 In the last 5 years there are 11 Teams in PREMIER LEAGUE with more net spend then CITY and that includes UTD , Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool as well as Spurs in it
Since 2008 CITY's takeover UTD , Chelsea and Arsenal have more Net spending then us but when you compare their achievements to CITY
That's more to nothing than being close to CITY's achievement
Not just That when UTD was dominating the League they were the top spenders by a mile
Top 25 Signings after inflation includes 7 from UTD and Chelsea only 2 from CITY

I would like to mention that even though we all are looking at Blackburn winning the league back then as some sort of Leicester miracle, that is not the case. Blackburn were one of the richest and powerful clubs at that time in England, competing and winning the title wasn't as surprising as it may seem. Though with that being said, I'll still rank that season as a hit

Spot on. I was 13 during the 1994/95 season and was an avid football watcher and reader. Blackburn's title win was not a shock. Indeed, some pundits in the magazines and papers I read were actively tipping them to win the league at the start of the season.

city centurion season is by far the best one . I remember when I called man city "Olympians" Because of how strong we were that season.. Barely any injuries and crazy performances.
Also the season I started supporting marseille after hearing about Payet's whereabouts
18/19 and 21/22 were the best. Invincibles Arsenal had 90 points. In 18/19, Liverpool had one loss which was to Man City and finished on 97 whereas City finished on 98. Then in 21/22, City had 93 and Liverpool had 92. Liverpool lost because Salah missed a penalty earlier in the season against Leicester and because we let in 2 last minute goals against newly promoted Brentford. That was also the closest team to winning the quadruple. (Also if Liverpool beat City in 18/19, they would have been invincibles and centurions in the same season).

This entire video just shows how good united used to be
10:19 there kind of was a title race there. In GW36, United hosted Chelsea at OT, with a 3 point gap between them and an equal goal difference. United ended up winning 2-1, and Chelsea didn't win any of their last 2 games, hence why the gap was that wide.

09/10 Chelsea only won because Bolton drew with United.
15/16 Chelsea did not beat Spurs they managed to come back for a draw but it was enough for Leicester.
16/17 Was definitely a title race, Eden Hazard carried Chelsea to the title but that Spurs squad was something else.
Spurs literaqlly scored the most goals and conceded the fewest and they still didnt win the league.

1992-93 not much of a title race? Norwich and latterly Villa pushed United up until the last couple of games in a 42-game season.
Also, 2002-03 was a great race between United and Arsenal and only came to a head when Leeds won at Highbury. Arsenal should have won that league but United went on a relentless run.

Blackburn were by no means Leicester City at that point...they were the richest club in the league by far and they finished second the previous year so it was not by any means a giant-killing
