The region is literally called lothric, you go through a giant dungeon full of grotesque mutants using bones for weapons and guards that are possessed by living fire, a third of the region was conquered by an eldritch cult revolving around dark energy, the king's garden is a swamp that'll basically give you the black plague if you walk around in it too long and is filled with zombies infected by corrupted darkness, all this and more, but the dragonslayer armor is what knocked that theme into your head!?
