    Hi everyone. At this moment, AFAIK, this device won't support any other wheelbase or pedals that are not from SIMAGIC or connected through the SIMAGIC wheelbase. If you heard anything different, please leave a comment and I'll investigate.

    This sounds like it is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you DGR! Just some feedback to consider on the video, I upped the playback speed to 1.25x and could barely notice any audio distortion. If you have the software to speed up your playback before you upload, this might help reduce the length of your video. Anyway, great information, thanks again!

    Hows the latency? I see the wheel reacting slower than your movement. Did you had any trouble around that? Also, you feel I can use simagic haptics with sigma attached to PS5 ? Really wanted to do that and attach it onto my V3 pedals. And great job on the video, very much needed

    • @daddysgottarace
      @daddysgottarace  2 месяца назад

      Latency is not great. You approximately 160ms delay which is not ideal but it’s an option in case you don’t want to buy another wheel just for your console.

    Hi DGR, think you might need a sticky comment at the top to state that the Sigma Cortex adapter is exclusively for Simagic hardware and no other hardware is supported as stated on the Sigma website.

    • @daddysgottarace

      It requires the base unfortunately. I think they are working on a firmware update to connect individual devices.

      Hi there. Sorry for the delayed response. This past weekend it was very busy with some charity racing events. I'm using the P2000 from Simagic. They are great. The Simagic ecosystem allows you to use pedals from other manufactures like Thrustmaster and Logitech. They have an adaptor that converts those pedals to be used with their wheel base. They also just released GT Neo, this is their first wheel rim that is compatible with other wheelbases natively and that thing looks amazing. You can get Simagic products at extremesimracing.com/wjm with a 5% discount.

    Wondering if heusinkveld pedals will work on this device. Thanks for a great informational video

    • @daddysgottarace
      @daddysgottarace  11 месяцев назад +1

      It should, by connecting the pedals directly to your PC. You don't need to connect them to the device. Only insignificant downside of this is have to keep two programs open to manage each device which might be an issue if you have low RAM memory available.

      Hi there. I tested and the haptic motors won’t work with Sigma. However, I’m controlling my HPRs using Simhub. Having that said, it’s possible to use a PC with Simhub collecting telemetry from PS5 to possibly activate them but I didn’t test this yet.

    Hi great video! I have an Alpha Mini with GT4 Wheel and would also be interested in it, but I have Fanatec CLS Elite V2 pedales. Can you confirm if it's possible to combine a Simagic Wheel Base with Fanatec Pedales to the Sigma and the PS5?

    • @daddysgottarace
      @daddysgottarace  11 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not sure that's possible. Usually the Fanatec hardware is controled by the base they have connected to the console. On a PC, that would work, but I'm afraid that's not the case on a console. The Sigma converter works exclusively for Simagic hardware AFAIK.

    • @daddysgottarace
      @daddysgottarace  4 месяца назад

      Hi sorry for the delay. I tried to test other hardware but it's pretty much for Simagic. You need to connect the pedals through the Simagic wheelbase, too. I tried connecting the pedals directly to Sigma and that didn't work.

    • @daddysgottarace
      @daddysgottarace  4 месяца назад +1

      @@thereaper63 Yes, the power information coming from the PS will be interpolated and amplified. Having that said, be careful because it can become way too strong if you have an Alpha or Alpha U or even with the Alpha Mini. After selecting that, you may need to adjust the control sensitivity in the game to your taste. Some controls not available in GT7 will be available in the Sigma interface to add more realism, like inertia or mechanical grip. Play with those controls until you find what you like.

      Yeah, it's really a bummer that console makers mandate the manufactures to include expensive licensing just to work on their platforms. That's one of the reasons why I migrated to a PC setup and I don't regret it at all. The level of immersion is insane. But I still play GT7 from time to time just for fun.

    Hey, I'm new to sim racing and I just got a Simagic setup with Sigma Cortex to use with my PS5 and GT7. The wheel base, pedals, and shifter are all recognized by the Sim Pro Manager 2 on my PC, and I've updated the Sigma to beta 1.1.5. But for some reason, the PS5 isn't recognizing pedals and shifter only steering and Acceleration is always on max in gt7 calibration settings and on game without me pressing Any ideas?

      @daddysgottarace  3 месяца назад

      Are you connecting the pedals to the wheel base or directly to the sigma? I think it doesn't work if you connect them to the Sigma. It has to be through the base. Same for the shifter.
      Also, you need to select the G29 Wheel on the GT7 as the wheelbase. Maybe that will help.

      No intention to show a setup in this video. It was just to show how it works. I totally had to dial down from the default settings to have a good controller sensitivity and be comfortable with the wheel torque. Adjusting the mechanical grip was the trickiest part as GT7 doesn't work well with that but I think I found a good setting. Maybe I should do a video about that.

    Absolute joke, yea it works for now.... until Sony get greedy. Alot of money to fork out for a console player especially considering the risk as I have 0 intention of getting a PC. Why can't we just get a decent wheel for ps5 that doesn't cost the earth?!

    • @daddysgottarace
      @daddysgottarace  7 месяцев назад +1

      Fanatec has an interesting proposition for consoles with the DD series. You can get a decent direct drive wheel for your console for less than $600. In the past any DD with the wheel rim would cost over $1000. I guess the belt system is set for end of life and direct drive wheels will become the standard which will lower prices. What I love about the Simagic ecosystem is that it's an impressive level of detail, compared to the high-end products like Simucube, but for a much better price range.
